Welcome to this little exercise for identifying your subconscious answers to questions you may have.
This fun and simple experiential practice will help you become a little more familiar with noticing the subconscious at work,
Noticing the answers it gives you,
Separating the subconscious mind answers from the conscious mind thinking.
Before we start just allow yourself to settle into this present moment.
Take a breath and as you breathe out allow yourself to just relax.
Notice the feeling of relaxation cascade down from the top of your head all the way down to your feet.
Without thinking,
Without trying,
Without attempting to remember or recall,
Without any analysis at all,
I want you to say mentally the first thing that pops into your mind,
Just the first thing.
It is not a test,
Just relax now.
If your subconscious were to know,
What colour was the very first flower you touched,
First thing that comes to mind,
What was it?
For those of you who are thinking and trying to remember,
Just stop that effort.
Let us give it one more go.
Just watch what the first thing is that comes up.
Stop thinking,
Stop trying to grab it,
Just allow it to pop up and appear.
It needs a little space to do so.
So now,
What was the colour of the very first flower you touched?
If it came to you,
Well done.
If not,
That's okay too.
Allowing space to notice the subconscious can be tricky,
Particularly if we tend to overthink a lot.
A meditation or mindfulness practice will help you access that space.
Then you can do this little exercise again later,
And notice the space and the subconscious answers.
Thank you for joining me.
