Hello,

I'm Heidi Laurencin.

Let's sit.

Sitting in meditation helps us connect with our best self so we can rise above our challenges,

Obstacles,

And limiting beliefs to new heights of experience internally and externally.

Please settle into a seat wherever you're most comfortable,

On a chair,

Sofa,

The floor,

Or cushion.

Feel grounded and supported there.

Now rest your hands gently,

Palms down on your thighs.

This will help you turn inward.

Sit tall with your spine upright like someone's pulling a string of pearls from your tailbone through the top of your head.

Feel the energy flow more freely.

In this dignified position,

Close your eyes if that's comfortable for you,

Or lower your lids.

Let your eyes be cradled gently by their sockets.

Now relax all the muscles in your body.

Feel them drape over your spine and bones like a silk robe on a closed tree.

And just let your mind drift like a leaf on a gentle stream,

Carried effortlessly towards stillness.

And just let your mind drift like a leaf on a gentle stream,

Carried effortlessly towards stillness.

Now through your nose,

Take a slow,

Deep,

Full breath in.

Fill the bottom of your belly first,

And feel the air slowly filling the lungs all the way to the top of your chest.

Now slowly exhale.

Feel the air passing gently through your nostrils,

A bit warmer than it came in.

Take another deep,

Nourishing breath in.

Breathe in all your potential to your belly,

Our source of power and strength,

And let it go.

Exhale any thoughts,

Sending them floating down that gentle stream.

Inhale one more time deeply the same way.

Breathe in to the bottom of your lungs,

Filling you up with just what you need.

And exhale,

Perhaps a little longer than your inhale,

Into deeper and deeper stillness.

Good.

Now just feel that.

Feel the relaxation and the quieting of the mind,

Going beyond the ego,

Connecting with your innermost wisdom,

Your truest self.

And to further access the core of your being in this state of calm and clarity,

I invite you to answer silently some questions.

Welcome whatever answers bubble up.

Who am I?

Who am I without all my roles,

My conditioning,

My beliefs?

Who am I?

What do I want?

What do I want?

What do I really want?

It may be grand or small,

Tangible or intangible.

What do I want?

What is my purpose?

Just notice what comes to mind.

What is my purpose?

And lastly,

What am I grateful for?

Again,

Big or small,

Across all aspects of your life,

What am I grateful for?

Now let go of these thoughts and just sit,

Breathe naturally,

And appreciate the experience of being you,

Of just being you,

Of just being.

We're now going to put our awareness on a mantra to settle more deeply into the silence of meditation.

A mantra helps us focus our mind,

Allowing our meditation practice to carry us to peace,

Transcendent wisdom,

And infinite possibilities,

Reaching the innermost depths of your consciousness.

The mantra is So Hum.

So Hum.

The vibrations almost sound like our breath.

With every in-breath,

Silently repeat So.

With every out-breath,

Silently repeat Hum.

Hum.

Let the vibrations gently accompany each breath.

It's almost like you're listening for the mantra.

Inhale So.

Exhale Hum.

So Hum.

Now just sit quietly in the stillness,

And continue repeating the mantra silently to yourself.

And if you find that your mind wanders to other thoughts,

Or you notice a sound or a sensation,

Just observe it without judgment,

And gently bring your mind back to the mantra.

So Hum.

Now keep repeating the mantra to yourself,

All mind the time.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

And keeping your eyes closed,

You can release the mantra now,

And just sit in this new awareness.

We'll set some intentions while you're connected with your innermost self.

Intentions for a strong,

Healthy,

Energetic body,

An open,

Compassionate,

And joyful heart,

A clear,

Calm,

And creative mind,

And lightness of being.

Now with the seeds of those intentions planted in your consciousness,

Take a deep,

Generative breath in,

And when you're ready,

Gently lift the curtain of your eyelids to take in your surroundings,

Perhaps with fresh eyes again.

Feel free to bring some movement to your body,

And rest your hands on your heart in gratitude for this experience,

And for this very moment.

Thank you for sitting with me.

May you rise to whatever heights you desire.

Thank you for your guided meditation this morning. It calmed my restive mind and clarified the way forward. I appreciate the non-use of synthrtic aural soundscapes; leveraging instead the natural steady sound of your voice, the enveloping power of a silent pause, and the internal vibration of the mantra. Thank you.
