Hello and welcome to this mindful moment.

I am speaking to you all from one of my favorite places on this great earth.

And I am reminded of how important it can be to unplug and disconnect from our rigorous daily routine and to tune into a different energy source,

To reconnect to ourselves and the deeper quiet voice inside of us.

So as we begin,

This is an invitation to pause and take a moment of rest.

Finding a place that feels good for you in this moment.

What do you need?

To sit?

To lie down?

To lean against something and rest your head?

What do you need right now?

If it feels comfortable,

You can close your eyes.

If you need a sip of water,

Check in and listen to your body and ask,

How can I care for you right now?

And then be open to the answer.

Let's take a deep breath.

Settling into a deeper shade of rest.

We can be so disconnected in the busyness and rigor of our daily lives.

And we find that through our constant state of being on the go,

We are disconnected from each other,

From our life,

From our joy,

From our breath,

And from ourselves.

Often this disconnection serves as a layer of protection.

Every time we pause,

This is an opportunity to reconnect or recover our lost connection.

So easy to be consumed with stories of the past,

Worries of the future.

And in this pause,

In this recovering,

We connect to ourselves and to our breath.

Noticing the quality of your breath.

And I'm curious if we can deepen the inhale and extend the exhale.

There are times in our life where disconnecting voluntarily and intentionally can be quite beneficial.

Intentionally unplugging and releasing.

So let's do this now.

I want you to imagine a clasp,

A hook,

A chain,

A leash,

Visualizing two pieces that are connected.

And visualizing these two pieces intentionally disconnecting,

Unhooking,

Releasing.

And as this chain or leash or clasp unhooks in your mind,

Let's see if we can lay it down.

Disconnecting from your stress,

Your stories,

Dramas,

Stress,

Worry.

And let's lay them down for just a few moments.

If you want to pick them back up to reattach and latch onto them again,

You can.

They will still be there if you desire them.

Let's see what it feels like to just let them be at rest.

And in this disconnection from the everyday routine and worries and stress that we might find ourselves clinging to,

Let's breathe.

And letting go.

As we disconnect from the old that no longer serves us,

We have an opportunity to reconnect to ourselves,

To our breath,

Our bodies,

And our needs.

And it begins with one breath,

The simple act of taking in and releasing.

Now imagine as you look around that you see right in front of you there are two cords and they look to be like electrical cords or something that contains power.

So in your curiosity,

You pick them up one in each hand and you realize that this is a source of energy.

So with a cord in each hand,

Bringing them up to chest level,

Let's imagine ourselves bringing the cords together and plugging into a new source of energy.

And as you plug these cords together,

Imagine a soft,

Brilliant,

Vibrant light that begins to glow,

Beginning from your heart and radiating out around you.

And you realize that this source of energy comes from you and you're reconnecting to your inner strength,

Your inner calm,

And your unlimited light,

Plugging back into yourself,

Your heart,

Your breath,

Your desires.

And you remember that this powerful connection is available to you at all times.

We have an opportunity to disconnect from that which no longer serves us at any moment.

Yes,

Sometimes this looks like physically moving locations to experience a vacation,

A retreat.

But often we can disconnect in a powerful way just by closing our eyes,

Dropping into our bodies,

Connecting to our breath,

Unplugging,

Disconnecting the chain of the outside world and plugging into our infinite source within.

We can lay our burdens down and reconnect to this moment.

And in this moment,

Let's have a note of gratitude for this pause.

Taking one more deep breath in and releasing.

Slowly open your eyes,

Maintaining your connection to yourself and your inner source of light and calm.

And slowly integrate back into this new form of life where we are connected to ourselves and slowly we reconnect to the world around us.

A powerful new connection where we are aligned.

And if it feels safe to do so,

Let's put a smile on our lips.

Deep breath in and releasing.

With your new presence and new awareness,

May you go forth into this day remembering the power of connection that you have within you.

Sending you love and gratitude as always from my heart to yours.

Great revitalizing meditation. I love the nature sounds and birds in the background! There's space to meet up exactly where you are and that's why I'll come back and listen to this again. Thank you!
