In this meditation, you are guided into the quiet expanse that lives beneath your thoughts and the rushing pace of daily life. As each breath softens the edges of your mind, you begin to sense the vast inner sky that has always been waiting for you - open, luminous, and unconfined. This practice invites you to rest in that spacious awareness, where ease, clarity and deep presence naturally unfold.

Welcome.

Allow yourself to find a place where you can receive this practice,

Whether you choose to lie down or sit up with a nice tall spine or even recline in a chair.

Allow your body to begin to soften.

Take a deep breath in through the nose for 1,

2,

3,

4 and exhale slowly out the mouth for 1,

2,

3,

4,

5,

6.

Again,

Inhale 1,

2,

3,

4 and exhale completely 1,

2,

3,

4,

5,

6.

Again,

Breathing in like the rising tide for 4 and exhale,

Settling deeply into yourself.

And you can take a few more clearing,

Cleansing breaths on your own.

Now,

Allow your breath to return to its own natural rhythm.

Let gravity hold you.

Let your mind begin to open.

Imagine you're resting inside an open sky,

A vast inner space without any edges.

Every inhale widens that inner sky.

Every exhale softens your body into stillness.

Feel the subtle space behind your eyes,

The gentle openness inside the chest,

The quiet space between your thoughts.

Allow your breath to move through this inner landscape as naturally as light moves through air.

The inner sky expands and you begin to sense its endlessness.

Sense the space within your body,

Soft,

Open,

Alive.

Imagine light moving through the body,

Clearing the inner sky with every soft breath.

Inhale,

Opening.

Exhale,

Dissolving tension.

Let your body breathe itself,

Effortless,

Uncontrolled.

The space within merges with the space around you,

No boundaries,

Only vast awareness.

Thoughts drift by like clouds through an endless sky,

Nothing to chase,

Nothing to clear.

You are not the clouds,

You are not your thoughts,

You are the sky they move through.

Feel yourself softening into that spaciousness,

Form dissolving into openness.

You are awareness,

Wide and luminous.

Now expand your awareness outward.

Feel the space surrounding your body,

A field of energy extending in all directions.

Inhale,

Expanding a few inches.

Exhale,

Softening any edges.

Inhale,

Expanding a few feet.

Exhale,

Dissolving any boundaries.

Let this awareness fill the entire room.

Then extend beyond the room,

Beyond walls,

Beyond sound,

Beyond the horizon.

You are the space that holds everything.

The trees,

The oceans,

The sky,

The stars,

All float within your awareness.

Nothing to fix,

Nothing to reach for.

You are not becoming spacious,

You already are.

You are the stillness behind all movement,

The silence beneath all sound.

Notice sensations arise and dissolve.

Thoughts appear and fade.

Sounds come and go.

But the spaciousness remains unchanged.

Rest here as the vast open field of awareness.

You are space,

Limitless,

Stable,

Eternal.

Slowly return your awareness to the body.

Feel its weight,

Warmth,

Aliveness.

Notice the natural rhythm of your breath,

Like waves rolling gently to the shore.

Even as you return to form,

The spaciousness remains.

You are both body and sky.

Let this realization soften your face,

Open your chest,

Expand your heart.

Inhale,

Connecting to everything.

Exhale,

Resting in infinite ease.

Feel the ground beneath you.

Feel the breath within you.

Feel the openness all around you.

I invite you to bring your palms together at your heart center.

Bow gently towards your inner sky.

Offer gratitude for the spaciousness that is always here.

You are open.

You are spacious.

You are free.
