This gentle meditation uses soothing affirmations to help you prepare for surgery with calm and confidence, and to support your healing and recovery afterward. As you listen, you’ll be guided into a deep state of mental and physical relaxation, reconnecting with feelings of safety, trust, and gratitude for your incredible body and its capacity to heal. Because the subconscious mind learns through repetition, for best results, listen daily before and after your procedure to strengthen neural pathways for comfort, resilience, and well-being. The music is ‘Serenetude for Stillness’, a soothing, calming soundscape created by MaJiKer, who is also a teacher here on Insight Timer. Photo: Thanks to chuttersnap

Hello,

This is Heather Dean.

These affirmations are to help your mind and body prepare for surgery in the best possible way.

The subconscious mind learns by repetition,

So to help yourself truly feel and believe these words,

Listen every day leading up to your surgery and afterwards as your body heals.

You might like to repeat the words out loud or silently in your head,

Or you can just let my words wash over you as you relax and allow your subconscious mind to absorb their healing vibration.

A great time to listen is at night as you're drifting off to sleep,

Or first thing in the morning as you're just waking up.

There's a magical window between sleep and wakefulness when your brain is in a theta state and so naturally very open to receiving new supportive suggestions.

So let's get started.

Just make yourself as comfortable as you possibly can.

Settle into this moment just for you.

You are safe,

All is well.

Take a nice,

Long,

Slow,

Deep breath in and release it slowly,

Allowing your eyes to relax and float closed.

Relax your jaw,

Forehead,

Rest your shoulders,

Arms and legs heavy,

Loose,

Relaxed as you begin to soften into a moment of self-kindness and self-care.

That's wonderful.

Let's begin with the affirmations.

I trust I am always in the very best hands.

I trust I am receiving the best possible care.

I'm so grateful I get to receive this surgery that helps me.

I'm so grateful for the wonderful care I receive.

I can't wait to feel even healthier.

My health improves every day.

I am stronger,

Happier,

Healthier than ever before.

I love my amazing body exactly as it is.

My amazing body is always supporting me in the best possible way.

I'm so grateful for my body.

I'm so grateful for my body's ability to heal easily and naturally.

My body knows how to heal easily and naturally.

My incredible body makes an amazing recovery from the surgery.

My doctor is amazed at how well I recover.

I make a phenomenal recovery.

I am healed,

Healthy,

And always whole.

I am perfect exactly as I am.

I love,

Accept,

And take care of myself at this important time and always.

I allow others to care for me and support me.

I'm so grateful for the great care and support I receive.

I deserve the best possible care.

I am worthy and deserving of my perfect health.

I am calm and confident.

I trust life.

I trust the universe.

I trust my body.

I am safe.

Everything is always working out for me.

All is well.

Thank you so much for practicing with me today and for taking this moment to care for yourself.

Remember,

You are loved,

Supported,

And deeply lovable.

Your presence in this world truly matters.

I'm wishing you a speedy recovery from the surgery and the perfect health and happiness you deserve.

Remember to come back tomorrow to continue reinforcing those neural pathways for healing.

Thank you for being here.

Namaste.
