Welcome to this grounding guided meditation.
Allow yourself to find a comfortable position,
Either seated or reclined.
Begin by taking a few deep breaths to calm the mind and body.
Visualize yourself walking through a dense forest.
There are large trees everywhere surrounding you.
You see the sunlight filtering through the trees.
Look around.
Really take notice of what you see.
You feel drawn to a particular tree.
You walk towards it and you lean with your back against it.
This tree must be hundreds of years old.
As you lean with your back against this tree,
Your energy begins to merge with the tree.
You begin to feel at one with the tree and with nature.
Your feet become heavy.
Roots begin to emerge out of the soles of your feet and connect with the earth and the roots of the tree.
The roots grow and extend deeper and deeper through the cool dirt into the warmth that lies deep beneath the crust.
Deeper and deeper,
Right down to the center of the earth.
You feel your feet become heavy as they connect with the very core of the earth.
You begin to draw up this earth energy up through the roots and into your feet and body.
Allow your entire body to fill with this earth energy.
Your connection to the earth is becoming stronger now.
As you fill yourself with this grounding energy,
You realize that you can release what is no longer serving you.
Letting anything excess go back into the earth.
The earth will recycle this energy,
Sending it to wherever it is meant to go.
Take a few moments in this space.
Taking what you need.
Releasing what you can.
Feeling the supportive connection with the earth.
You will retain this connection after you leave this meditation.
Helping you to feel safe and grounded throughout your day.
Allow the roots to slowly move back into the soles of your feet.
Disengaging from the core of the earth.
Moving through the layers of the earth.
You are feeling very relaxed and grounded.
It is now time to leave this meditation.
Very gently bring your awareness back to your body.
You can give your feet and arms a stretch if that feels good.
When you feel ready,
You can open your eyes and come back to waking consciousness.
