Let's transcend any hesitation to reveal a soft and tender place.
Please choose to light a candle with a calming scent like chamomile or lavender or turn on a salt crystal.
Turn down the overhead lights,
Then make your way to your soft bed.
Come to a lying down position with your hands gently crossed over your heart or relaxed by your sides.
Slowly inhale and on the exhale gently let the eyes close.
Make note of the coolness of the sheets,
The scent of the candle,
The flicker of the light behind your eyelids,
The warmth of your skin.
With just the sheet drawn over you,
Begin to glide your fingertips gently over your body.
Starting at your knees,
To your legs,
Then to your hips,
To your waist,
Your chest,
And lightly over your shoulders and your arms.
Repeat this gentle flow over your body,
Starting at your knees,
To your legs,
Your hips,
Your waist,
Your chest,
And lightly over your shoulders and your arms.
Once more,
Starting at your knees,
To your legs,
To your hips,
To your waist,
Your chest,
And lightly over your shoulders and your arms.
Now take inventory of how your body feels.
Any areas of tension,
Relax into them.
As you sink deeper into the mattress below,
Allow your body to feel like a cloud floating along in the sky with a sense of lightness.
You are one with the earth.
You are one with the sky.
Visualize you are drifting along the sky like a bird,
Watching the amber pink hues of the sunset fill the world around you with dramatic color.
Slowly the color starts to fade from vibrant to pastel to deeper,
Darker hues as the day comes to an end.
Imagine the breeze on your face as you float along with impressive speed.
Continue visualizing yourself floating through the sky,
Making note of the colors that come up for you.
The earth is calling you to lay down and dream,
For it is in our moments of restfulness that we have the greatest epiphanies and heartfelt reactions.
It is after these moments of supreme sleep that we become energized,
Inspired to do more beyond ourselves.
Harness this feeling again of floating away or drifting upwards into the sky.
From the sky you go to the universe,
The space is unseen.
Let this place inspire you and now let your mind slip into an alpha state where everything feels easy and weightless.
Just like a feather,
Imagine the softness of each hair,
The subtlety of the tickle on your skin.
Take a deep cleansing breath and release through the mouth.
Another breath that's slightly softer and release through the mouth.
And now let the breath normalize to a slow and quiet pace.
Repeat the following relaxing words to yourself,
Drifting,

Touching,
Being.
