Welcome.

This guided meditation is designed to remind you to embrace the inner child who lives within you.

Find a quiet and comfortable space where you can fully relax.

Settle in,

Allowing your body to feel supported.

Let your hands rest gently in your lap or over your heart,

Wherever feels most soothing.

Close your eyes and take a slow,

Long,

Gentle breath in through your nose and exhale softly through your mouth.

Breathe.

Feel your breath moving like a gentle wave,

Rising and falling,

Flowing with ease.

With each inhale,

Invite in warmth and peace,

And with each exhale,

Let go of any tension,

Any weight you no longer need to carry.

As you continue to breathe,

Imagine a warm golden light surrounding you,

Wrapping you in a warm,

Soft embrace.

This light carries the essence of joy,

Playfulness,

And curiosity.

Let it seep into your heart,

Filling you with the simple delight of being alive.

Now picture yourself standing at the edge of a vast,

Sun-drenched meadow.

The grass sways gently,

Painted in shades of green and gold,

While wildflowers in every color bloom wildly around you.

A narrow,

Dirt path winds through the field,

Lined with tiny footprints,

Your footprints from long ago.

This is the path back to your inner child,

The part of you that once danced without hesitation,

Sang without fear,

And created without judgment.

As you take your first step forward,

Feel the earth beneath your feet,

Cool,

Solid,

And grounding.

The further you walk,

The lighter you feel,

As if shedding layers of adulthood with each step.

A soft giggle echoes in the distance,

A sound both familiar and long forgotten.

Up ahead,

You see a small figure playing in the sunlight.

As you draw closer,

You recognize them instantly.

It's you,

Your younger self.

Notice them.

How old are they?

What are they wearing?

Are their cheeks flushed from laughter?

Are their eyes sparkling with curiosity?

Take a moment to simply watch them.

Notice how free they are.

How effortless their joy is.

There's no hesitation,

No self-consciousness,

Only pure,

Unfiltered wonder.

Slowly,

Gently approach them.

When they see you,

Their face lights up with recognition,

As if they've been waiting for you all this time.

They reach for your hand,

Their fingers small and warm against yours,

And in that moment,

You feel something awaken inside you.

A memory of what it feels like to be playful,

To be carefree.

They pull you forward,

Inviting you to join them in whatever feels fun.

Perhaps it's twirling under the open sky,

Feeling the rush of wind against your skin.

Maybe it's splashing through a stream,

The water cool against your toes.

Or lying on your back in the grass,

Tracing cloud shapes with your finger.

Maybe it's singing at the top of your lungs,

Or picking up a paintbrush and letting your hands move without rules or expectations.

Whatever it is,

Let yourself go.

Move.

Play.

Create.

Laugh.

Let your body be free.

Your voice be loud.

Your spirit be light.

There is no right or wrong way to be here.

As you embrace this moment,

You might notice an old voice creeping in.

The voice of your inner critic.

Maybe it whispers that you look silly,

Or that you're too old for this kind of fun.

If you hear it,

Simply smile.

Take your younger self's hand,

And together laugh it away.

There is no need for perfection here.

No need to be graceful,

Or productive,

Or measured.

There's only play,

Movement,

And the sheer delight of being present.

This is your true essence.

This is the part of you that has never left,

That has always been waiting for you to return.

As this moment gently comes to a close,

Look into your younger self's eyes,

And feel the love and gratitude flowing between you.

Let them know that you will not forget them again.

That you will invite them to dance,

To play,

To create,

Whenever they call.

They smile,

But they are not leaving.

They are always here within you,

Waiting to remind you how to see the world with wonder.

How to embrace joy without hesitation.

Now slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Feel the ground beneath you.

The air around you.

The steady rhythm of your breath.

Wiggle your fingers,

Your toes.

Roll your shoulders.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes,

Carrying this playful,

Light-hearted energy with you into the rest of your day.
