Welcome to this guided meditation to assist you in overcoming depression.
To begin find a comfortable position in an environment where you feel safe and are ready to go within.
Close your eyes and take some deep conscious breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Getting present,
Tuning in to the now moment.
Knowing now is all there is,
Every moment is a new moment to be and choose what we want to feel or let go of.
Knowing thoughts may arise,
Just let them be and choose not to engage with them.
You can bring your focus back to your breath or back to this moment if you find your mind getting caught up in the past or present.
Bringing awareness to your breath,
Moving through your body as you continue to consciously breath in and out.
Feeling your tummy and chest expand as you inhale and feeling the air coming out of your nose or mouth as you exhale.
Seeing your body seated or lying on the floor or seat beneath you.
Noticing any sensations on your skin,
Perhaps feeling a breeze of fresh air going through your hair.
Maybe the sun hitting your skin.
Maybe feeling your clothes pressing against your body.
Really take a moment here to tune in to your sensations that you feel on your body from your environment.
Now visualising the ground,
The earth beneath you.
Just visualising soil,
Grass,
Dirt,
Maybe some flowers surrounding you.
And visualising a tree root coming from the base of your spine,
Going down into the ground.
Moving through rocks,
Dirt,
Going deeper and deeper until it reaches the centre,
The core of the earth where you see a crystal.
See this root wind around this crystal,
Feel this strong connection between you and the core of the earth.
Feeling this root as an extension of you connected with Gaia,
With Mother Earth.
Feeling a sense of safety and belonging.
Knowing that she is always there for you.
Providing you with her nurturing balanced energy.
Providing you with food to eat,
Water to drink,
Shelter and so much more.
Feeling and knowing that you belong here on this planet,
That this is your home.
Feeling the earth's energy come back up through the root and into the base of your spine,
Up through your body and into your heart space.
Feeling grounded and anchored in this now moment and with the earth.
Feeling your heart centre radiating this new energy.
Feeling an aliveness,
Feeling it activate.
Maybe you feel barriers around your heart begin to melt away.
You may feel a strong energy in your heart centre or maybe just a spark of something that you can't quite describe.
If you feel some painful emotions,
Allow them to be there and to be felt and transformed by you.
Let the medicine of your own love and presence alchemise them.
Allow these emotions to dissipate when they are ready.
Whatever you are experiencing is for you.
Allow yourself to surrender into your heart,
Into whatever is arising,
Whatever emotions they may be to be felt.
Now visualising that you are breathing from the heart space.
As you breathe in a crystalline white light comes in through your heart and as you breathe out any remaining dense energies and emotions are leaving your body.
This could look like a grey light leaving your body and fading away.
That's it.
And breathing in and out.
Seeing the crystalline white light not only filling your heart space but your entire body.
It's like you are radiating this renewed energy throughout your whole being.
There will come a point where there is not so much dense energy that needs to leave as you feel lighter,
You feel cleansed and a sense of a release.
You may notice that your body doesn't feel so tense or constricted anymore.
Tune into how you feel.
Notice the subtle shifts that have occurred within you.
Now visualise that you are breathing from the heart space.
Now visualise a ball of golden energy emerge from your heart space out in front of you.
See this ball of golden energy shape shift into what looks like another version of you.
Look back at this version of you.
See how he or she is smiling back at you.
Notice how happy they look,
How loving and compassionate they appear.
This version of you is seeing things from a heightened state of consciousness and awareness.
This version of you knows who you truly are on a soul level and knows you better than anyone else.
This version of you always has your back,
They are always there for you when no one else is.
This version of you is always wanting to guide you,
Support you and communicate with you.
When you feel ready I invite you to go up to this version of you and give them a big hug.
Knowing that someone loves you and cares for you.
Tune into this unconditional love,
Feel it fill your entire being.
Now,
You are ready to go up to this version of you.
Now you see this version of you melding with you,
Dissolving into you,
Into your heart centre.
Know this version of you is your higher self,
They are always within you,
You are never alone.
Feel the energy,
The power of your higher self within you.
Know this is your natural state,
This is who you really are.
You can call upon your higher self at any time,
For someone to talk to for guidance,
For someone to give you a hug,
To encourage you.
You can tap into the energy and essence of your higher self at any time for more empowerment,
More self worth and to embody more of your true souls essence.
Be here now in this moment,
Remembering that it's time to come home,
Your soul is calling you home,
To be your true authentic self,
To be who you really are before the world told you who to be.
Move forward from this space,
Seeing this phase with depression as an initiation,
As an awakening and activation for opening up and remembering who you are so you can embody it in this lifetime.

Knowing that you are here to be you and you are so supported and guided in all ways.
