Welcome to this guided meditation for inner child healing.
In this practice you will meet with the higher self of your parent that has caused you pain and bring about healing and resolution so that the consciousness of your inner child can be liberated as it receives the words,
Energy and wisdom that it wanted years ago.
I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down,
In a space that feels safe to you.
Close your eyes and place one hand over your heart space and another on your belly.
Begin to breathe slowly and deeply in and out through the nose,
Feeling your belly expand as you inhale and feeling your body soften and relax on the exhale.
Feeling yourself become settled and present in this moment.
Take a moment here to give thanks to yourself for being willing to go within and bring healing and resolution to your inner child.
Just because you are now an adult,
It does not mean that the consciousness of your inner child disappears.
In fact it often severely impacts us as we go about adulthood.
As it seeks to find a way to get its needs met,
Through the wounding that we feel as an adult.
The past hurt and traumas from childhood can impact how we live our life,
Our relationships,
Our sense of self and so much more.
So it is up to us to learn to parent ourselves,
To be the nurturer,
Caregiver and protector that we wanted but maybe didn't have growing up.
We cannot force our parents to change or understand the impact that they had on us,
So we must be gentle with ourselves and make it our responsibility to bring about healing if we wish to let go of the pain and hurt and be our bright,
Loving,
Authentic selves in the world without carrying the baggage of the past.
I invite you to allow any emotions,
Thoughts,
Memories and sensations from childhood that wish to come into your awareness now to arise.
Continue breathing slowly and deeply,
Becoming conscious of the pain,
Grief,
Anger,
Hurt or anything else that your inner child still feels.
Allow any bodily sensations to be and be the watcher of any past memories and thoughts that really made an impact in the consciousness of your inner child.
Be with it now.
You may want to suppress it or deny it,
But this is an opportunity for you to now really see it,
Hear it and be present with this stuff so it can no longer ruin your life.
You don't have to like it,
You just have to accept it.
So I will give you a few minutes here to breathe,
Feel and process.
Well done for holding space for yourself to go within and be present with the pain of the past.
That was a truly courageous and compassionate thing to do.
I would like to welcome you now into visualising your parents or parents standing in front of you at a distance that feels safe to you.
This may be your mother,
Father or caregiver that you feel really impacted you as a child and may have caused some trauma or negative beliefs about yourself to be adopted.
Just take a moment here to be with this current perception of them,
The parent that your inner child saw and knew and again allowing any feelings that are here.
I now invite you to begin to see them differently.
I encourage you to see this parent of yours as their higher self.
This version of them that they did not embody throughout your childhood but they had the potential to.
This version of them sees from a higher perspective that they didn't have the capacity to operate from as they cared for you as a child.
This is the version of them that is the one you truly wanted,
That was loving,
Kind,
Nurturing.
Observe what they look like to you now.
Perhaps notice a shift in their energy.
They may feel more loving and accepting of you as they look directly back at you now.
You sense that they wish to talk to you and you know you are ready to really express your authentic feelings towards them.
I invite you to take three deep conscious breaths now,
In through the nose and exhale through the mouth.
Helping you to ground and support you in honest communication.
Listen to what they have to say to you now.
They now have the understanding that they have caused you a lot of pain.
Listen to what their higher self has to communicate to you beyond what their limited human awareness could understand in this lifetime due to their own issues and immaturity.
Have a dialogue with them and share with them what you need to get off your chest.
There may be specific memories that have come up that have caused you pain that you want to express to them,
Your true feelings about.
Perhaps there are words that were left unsaid.
I encourage you to do this out loud if possible or else you may talk to them in your mind if that's easier.
This is your time to speak directly to your parents higher self and receive back perhaps the love,
Acknowledgement,
Compassion,
Reassurance that you did not get as a child.
I will give you about 15 minutes here to be with them and bring about healing and resolution so that your inner child can feel at peace and release any old emotions and negative stories.
Taking a last few moments here as we will begin to end this practice.
When you feel a sense of completion with this interaction you can say goodbye or even give them a hug if that feels right to you.
You can say any last words you would like to share with them before you see them fade away.
Notice how you feel in your body now.
Maybe there is a sense of release,
A lightness,
More energy may be present.
Maybe you even feel an expansion in your heart space or a feeling of inner peace and clarity.
Maybe the consciousness of your inner child feels playful,
Joyful,
Understood and carefree now that it can shine brighter and be its true self.
And once again thank yourself for doing this and bringing about healing.
Know that if you feel that you held back or you know there is more to be processed here that is ok.
You can come back to this practice at any time.
You can lay your hands down on your lap if they aren't already and you can slowly open your eyes.
Go forward honouring yourself and tending to your needs just like a loving parent would.
You are beautiful,
Loved,
Sacred and worthy of living a wonderful life.
You are now free from the pain of the past and there is a bright future ahead.
