Once upon a Christmas Eve,
In the icy snowlands of the North Pole,
The winter elves were busy at work,
Finishing the very last presents for Santa's sleigh ride.
Because this year there are more children than ever to look after,
As the population of the world continues to grow.
So the Christmas elves were bustling about at Santa's magical workshop of toys.
And these elves breathe deeply as they work away,
Staying happy and relaxed.
And maybe you would like to try breathing deeply now,
With a smile on your face,
And see how joyful that can make you feel too.
Just like a Christmas elf,
As you snuggle under the covers and listen along.
And if you can feel the Christmas spirit,
And perhaps even some Christmas magic in the air.
You will understand that anything is possible at this most special time of year.
And the winter elves always do their best to make sure there are always plenty of gifts for everyone.
So as fresh snow continues to fall over the cosy village,
With snowflakes floating down over the colourful elf houses.
We will imagine visiting the magical toy workshop,
Hidden deep in between the alpine trees of the snowy valley.
And you may imagine its curly-wurly roof,
And little windows glowing with light from within,
Looking all warm inside and very inviting.
And this really is the dreamiest and most enchanted place.
Because this is where the winter elves,
With their pointy little elf hats and hand-stitched elf clothes,
Are working away through the night,
Preparing for Christmas.
And these kind-hearted and hard-working elves always help each other to ensure that Santa's sleigh is packed and ready,
Heaving with all the marvellous presents for everyone.
Because it's very important that no child misses out,
So that generosity and kindness prevail,
And the true spirit of Christmas is felt by all around the world.
And maybe you can now imagine which lovely presents may be getting prepared just for you in this magical toy shop,
Hidden away in the North Pole.
And perhaps you even wrote a special letter to Santa,
And you're wondering if it was received.
Well,
Don't worry about that,
Because the elves help Santa every year to make a big,
Long list of toys to include every child's wishes.
And then they get to work with some very respectable,
Bespectacled elves in charge of this incredibly long list checking.
So as you go to sleep,
These elves are having fun as they work through the night.
Never you mind about that.
It's all part of the Christmas cheer.
And the elves love to think positive thoughts,
Imagining all of the delighted children's faces when they receive their wonderful surprise toys from Santa.
So here in the workshop of your dreams,
So cosy and warm inside,
Christmas music is playing all of the elves' favourite carols,
As they cheerfully chat and work together as a team.
And the elves keep an eye on the time,
With a huge traditional wooden cuckoo clock on the wall,
Which is ticking away,
Counting down to Christmas Day.
Because while some elves are hammering,
Others are gluing,
Some are painting and others are creating.
Some are electronics making,
Preparing devices for watching and playing,
Reading and exploring,
And image displaying.
Some elves are crafting,
And while it's snowing,
Some are sewing.
Others are wrapping,
And some are napping,
Dozing and snoozing,
Before rising and helping.
So as you can see,
Every elf has a different talent,
Which contributes to getting the job done so well every year.
And as busy as they are,
You notice that elves just love to eat,
And they take their snacking very seriously.
So some are serving steaming cinnamon tea,
Some are mixing hot chocolate with extra marshmallows,
And some are baking choc chip cookies to feed the elvish crew.
And finally now,
With the big cuckoo clock counting down more and more,
All of the toys are ready and wrapped,
Tied up in bright bows,
With gloriously colorful recycled paper by the gift wrapping elves,
Where nothing's a caper.
And now it is time for the elves to make their big long construction line,
Passing the presents along to each other one by one,
As they pack Santa's giant sleigh.
And some elves just love to pat the reindeer,
Which are waiting so patiently,
Ready to fly,
These beautiful creatures which race through the night sky.
There's Dasha and Dancer,
And Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid,
Donner and Blitzen.
All harnessed up and ready to soar with a sprinkle of sparkling Christmas magic from Santa Claus himself.
And you joyfully see Rudolph is even there,
With that shiny red nose,
Glowing extra bright,
With excitement to go flying tonight.
And so now,
With their work completed so brilliantly again this year,
The elves clap and shake hands and pat each other on the back for their amazing job well done.
Because the sleigh is full and everyone is now ready for Santa himself to appear.
So they can wave him off to deliver the presents with kindness and cheer.
So as you snooze so soundly and sleep so deeply.
With a dazzle of enchantment,
You may feel so special in your heart,
Knowing that you will have the loveliest Christmas this year.
Because all you need to do is continue to dream so happily,
Trusting those marvelous Christmas elves in their magical workshop in the North Pole.
You may rest with joy,
Because the trusty Christmas elves have done it again.
All you need to do now,
Dear child,
Is drift off to sleep and have a deep rest all through the night,
With lovely dreams.
Before you wake up in the morning with joy in your heart,
Ready to celebrate Christmas with your wonderful family.
Because being together with the people we love is the most special part of the festive season.
And you may whisper a little thank you to these elves,
Feeling gratitude in your heart for making Christmas so enchanting for you and for others everywhere.
And you may feel so special in your heart,
