Hello and welcome to this quick and powerful mindfulness meditation for kids.
Choose a place where you can sit and relax for 5 minutes.
Close your eyes now as you feel your whole body relaxing.
In this meditation you will have a chance to use your wonderful imagination.
Now keep your eyes closed and imagine you have a magical crystal floating in front of you.
You can control this crystal with your mind.
What colour is your special crystal?
This magical rock is hovering in the air and sparkling and shining out with so much amazing light.
Imagine that wherever you put your attention,
That's where the crystal will shine its light just for you.
Your mind may wish to think about other things,
But you will bring your focus back to where your crystal is shining.
Now direct your crystal to shine on your breathing.
As you focus on your breathing,
Notice your breath as it flows in and out so easily.
What does your breathing feel like?
It's so relaxing just to breathe.
Your crystal sparkles light over your breathing.
Now direct your crystal to float up a little higher and shine over your face.
Your neck stretches up.
You can feel your face in the light of the crystal.
Put your crystal down to shine out over the middle part of your body now.
Over your shoulders,
Your chest and belly.
Can you feel the energy in the middle of your body?
Just notice how your belly feels.
You don't have to change anything,
Just let it be.
You are perfect just as you are.
Your crystal hovers happily,
Shining its light over you.
Now when you are ready,
Shine your crystal inside to your feelings.
How are you feeling right now?
All feelings are welcome here.
Do your feelings have a colour?
How much space do they take up?
Just notice them,
As your magical crystal shines its light inside you over your feelings.
When you are ready,
You may shine your crystal everywhere.
And put your attention back into the room.
Your very special magical crystal can stay in your imagination for you to use any time you wish.
Gently open your eyes.
And give yourself a pat on the back.
