Welcome to this short and powerful chakra meditation for kids.
Together we will learn about our chakras and balance them as we shine out with every colour of the rainbow.
You may choose to lie down or to sit up straight.
Close your eyes and take some deep breaths in and out.
You know,
Everything is made up of energy,
Including you.
Ancient yogis discovered that our bodies have seven energy centres.
There are seven places in our bodies which have special types of energy.
They called these chakras.
When our chakras are balanced,
We feel amazing.
Our life energy flows through us like a fresh mountain stream.
Let's meditate on our chakras together right now.
Imagine you have a ball of light floating in front of you.
With your powerful mind,
You can control this ball of light in any way you wish.
We will start at the base chakra at the bottom of your spine.
Direct your ball of light to shine here at your base chakra.
Imagine the light glows with a red colour here.
This is where you feel grounded.
This is where you know that you belong to your community.
Now move your ball of light up to the sacral chakra.
Your sacral chakra is just below where your belly is.
Imagine it shines orange here.
This is where you feel creative.
This is where you have fun and try new things.
Direct your glowing ball to rise now to your solar plexus chakra.
Your solar plexus chakra is where your belly is.
Imagine it sparkles with yellow light here.
This is where you feel safe and confident.
This is where you feel great about being you.
Your ball of light floats up to your heart chakra now.
Imagine your heart chakra shining with lovely green light.
This is where you feel love for yourself and love for others.
This is where you feel joy and inner peace.
Now hover your glowing light to float at your throat chakra.
Your throat chakra shines with blue energy.
This is where you communicate what you think and feel.
This is where you tell the truth and express your feelings.
Direct your ball of light to rise up to your third eye chakra in your mind between your eyes.
Your third eye chakra glows with the colour indigo.
This is where your wisdom is.
This is where you see the truth and trust your feelings.
Now float your ball of sparkling light to shine at your crown chakra.
Your crown chakra is at the very top of your head.
Imagine you have a crown here glowing with amazing violet light.
And now your crown connects to the whole open universe.
To the stars and planets.
To the moon and the sun.
The entire universe lights up.
Your brilliant life energy is shining out from your crown.
This beautiful feeling inside you.
Go ahead and grow this feeling so even more light shines out of you and all around you.
Grow and glow.

All of your chakras light up now with all of their rainbow colours.
Your life energy is flowing so perfectly.
You glow with so many colours like a rainbow.
And you sparkle so brightly like a star.
