Welcome,
Welcome to the end of your day.
Maybe this day was busier than usual,
With stressful moments rather than mindfulness,
Or you're landing here,
Elated at the hours of events behind you.
Either way,
Please join me in tuning into your breath.
Your breath that continues to fill you with life,
No matter how our minutes are filled each.
Take a deep,
Collective inhale breath through your nose,
And exhale out your mouth,
Let the day one more.
Deep inhale,
And exhale out your mouth,
Let that.
And I invite you here to simply notice how your breath begins to slow.
Tune into its rhythm,
Knowing that this steadiness,
This breath is your rock.
Somewhere to find solace when times are challenging.
Here to give you endurance when the timing requires it.
And here to uplift your lungs,
Your spirit,
And your soul.
Deep inhale,
Exhale.
As you allow your breath to slow,
Really recognizing its rhythm,
A heartbeat.
Recognizing that we each have our own unique pattern of this breath,
And that this,
Amongst so many other things,
Is what makes you you.
Now in your mind's eye,
I invite you to think about standing at the edge of a forest.
It is night,
And although it is dark,
You feel safe.
You feel held by the air and atmosphere surrounding you.
But you begin to notice a string of fireflies nearby,
Almost as if they're lighting a path for you to follow.
And so you do.
And as you take one step in front of the other,
As you enter these woods,
You begin to feel a deep sense of calm wash over you.
This sense of calm begins at the top of your head,
Washes down your neck,
Your shoulders,
Past your arms,
Your belly,
Your hips,
The thighs,
Your shins,
Your ankles,
And your feet.
And every step you take further into this forest,
That sense of calm settles even further,
Even deeper within you.
Take a moment to recognize this sense of calm,
One of groundedness that only being in nature could truly offer you.
As you continue to make your way through this forest,
A nearby clearing beckons you forward,
And you notice a cushiony moss covers this lush area.
You lay down and feel the softness of the ground beneath you,
Enveloping you like a warm embrace.
And in this moment,
You take the deepest breath of your day,
Your week,
Perhaps even your year.
You feel your lungs expand,
Your belly open and fill.
And as you exhale,
You sink a little bit deeper into the mossy earth beneath you.
And as you begin to fill up with breath once again,
Your eyes drift upwards to a sea of stars.
And in this moment,
You feel a part of something greater,
Something beyond yourself,
Beyond this forest,
Perhaps even beyond this,
This feeling of connected calm runs through your body like a gentle stream and settles you into the knowing that all will be okay.
You relinquish control over this day,
Over this moment and into the universe that will always,
Always carry you forward into that which is meant for you.
Take one more deep,
Whole breath into this feeling,
Into this knowing and let something go.
Take one last gentle breath here as you drift off further in this universe or perhaps into the last and final moments of your.
Know that this feeling is always within you,
Always available to you and that this feeling is
