Hello friends,
This is a meditation for those simply looking to slow down,
To hit that proverbial pause button.
So I invite you here to come to a comfortable seat or perhaps lie on down,
Closing down the eyes,
Taking a deep inhale breath through your nose and exhale out your mouth,
Sigh it out.
Another just like that,
Deep inhale through the nose and exhale,
Sigh it out,
Drop your shoulders away from your ears and allow yourself here to simply check in.
I invite you to notice your thoughts and then I want you to imagine yourself stepping into a vehicle.
Now that vehicle is going the pace of your thoughts.
Notice how quickly that car is moving.
Now I invite you to slow down this vehicle by 20%,
By 40%,
60%,
80%,
And 100%.
Car,
The vehicle,
Your thoughts have slowed to a halt.
In your mind's eye,
Envision yourself opening that car door and looking out to a place in nature that you feel safe,
That lights you up.
This may be a place that you've been to before.
This may be a place that you've only seen in pictures.
Wherever it is,
You walk into that space and sit down and pause.
Check in with yourself here in this space,
Noticing your surroundings,
Noticing what is around you and how it makes you feel in this moment.
Take a deep inhale breath through your nose,
Exhale,
Let it go out.
Life can at times feel so overwhelmed,
Yet when we allow ourselves to pause and simply be,
We give ourselves the space to tune to tune back in to who we truly are,
To what really lights us up in life and to what truly matters.
Take this moment,
This time to think of one thing that you are truly,
Deeply grateful for and allow it to fill you up from your toes to your hips to your chest all the way out the top of your head.
Allow this gratitude to fill you up so deeply,
So fully that you feel energy pulsating through your body.
You feel the light enveloping you and although you feel calm in this moment,
You feel light and energized.
Recognize that this feeling is always within you,
Is always available to you at any moment,
Any time,
Any day.
When things get too hectic,
This is here for you.
You can be here for yourself.
You can show up for yourself.
Keeping that feeling,
Allow yourself to start coming back to the space.
Maybe start to wiggle your fingers and your toes and simply take one more moment to notice the feeling within you and softly open your eyes.
