An intuitively created meditation for those moments when you just need to feel nourished and comforted. This is a very quick, gentle practice that focuses on breath and visualisation to help settle your nervous system and release any tension or stress in your body. It also gives you the chance to re-affirm any boundaries to help protect your energy and your emotions.

Hello and welcome to this meditation today.

I wanted to create this meditation just as a quick 10 minute little booster when you're feeling out of sorts or not like yourself.

Ten minutes where it can be guilt free,

You can just take some time for yourself and come back to your body,

Settle your nervous system before carrying on with your day.

So when you're ready you can sit down,

You can lay down,

Make sure you're feeling cozy,

Maybe you have a blanket over you,

Maybe you have a warm cup of tea,

Whatever feels gentle and cozy and good in this moment.

When you're settled you can begin to take some deep breaths in through the nose and then sighing out through the mouth,

Letting your body relax,

Letting your shoulders just relax,

Any tension falling away from your body.

If you're struggling to let go in this moment just give yourself permission to nourish yourself just for 10 minutes.

Continue this deep breath,

Exhaling any sounds,

Letting yourself fall to relaxation.

If it feels nice you can place your hands on your body,

You can stroke over your legs and your arms,

You can place a hand over your heart,

Maybe even wrap your arms around yourself and give yourself just an embrace,

Anything that calls to you and makes you feel comfortable.

If you have a pillow nearby you're welcome to give it a big hug and squeeze.

What do you need in this moment to feel settled,

To feel gentle?

Give yourself permission to just have that for now,

Whatever needs to be done will still be done but this moment is for you.

As you continue this deep breath,

I'd like you to see a ball of light in your mind's eye.

You can give it a color,

Any color that represents soothing and warm energy.

Maybe this light glows brightly,

Maybe it's quite dim,

Is it moving a little bit or is it stationary?

I'd like you to draw this ball of light to your stomach,

Letting it sink into your body at the center of your being,

Let it illuminate that area,

Relaxing any nerves,

Any stress that is sitting in your core.

Remembering to take deep breaths and relaxing on the exhale and as you welcome this light into your body,

Allow it to grow,

With each breath it grows bigger,

It spreads up and down your body,

Feeling your legs,

Your feet with this warm light and traveling up through your heart,

Your throat,

Your head,

Feeling your entire body with this warm gentle light,

Let it melt your body into relaxation,

Let it dissolve anything that's causing you grief,

Causing you fear or anxiety,

Let it soothe those parts of you that need to be comforted in this moment,

Continue to breathe deeply and as you do it begins to press up against your skin,

Ensuring that every single cell,

Every single part of your body is filled with this warm glowing light,

This light that's here just to make you feel even a little bit better,

A little more nourished,

Let yourself feel it,

This light begins to extend past the boundaries of your skin,

Of your body,

It begins to fill into your emotional body,

Your energy body,

Outside your skin,

Outside your body,

Filling your aura with this warm light,

Soothing any turmoil in these outer bodies,

These outer energy bodies,

In your mind let yourself witness yourself in this beautiful glowing bubble of light,

In this light you are safe,

Nothing can get past this little barrier that you don't want to come in,

Anything that you do not want coming into your system,

Affecting you energetically,

Emotionally,

Physically,

Don't let it past this barrier,

If it feels good you can state these boundaries either in your mind or out loud,

Allow yourself to sit in this energy just a little bit longer,

Letting any final parts of you that feel tense,

Feel stressed,

Let them soothe and melt in this light,

Now I invite you to take three final deep breaths in through the nose and once again sounding or sighing out through the mouth on the exhale,

This light is yours and yours alone,

So as you begin to come back to the present moment trust that this light is remaining here protecting you,

Keeping you safe and if you need it all you need to do is close your eyes and visualize it,

Now you can stay in a state for as long as feels good for you,

Otherwise when you're ready you can begin to move your fingers and your toes,

Take any stretches that you need to take and when you're ready you can open your eyes.
