Hello,

My friend.

I'm so glad that you are here to take a few moments of peace and solitude for yourself.

It's in these times where things feel dark in our world,

Heavy,

Even hopeless in moments,

That we lean into self-care.

Now more than ever,

It is important to take care of ourselves so that we can continue to show up and use our voice for what matters to us.

Today I want to pour into you and maybe fill your cup up just a little bit with this short meditation.

With that being said,

I want to invite you to get 10% more comfortable.

Whether you are seated on a chair with your feet flat on the ground,

Or you're outside with your feet in the earth,

Maybe it feels comfortable to lay down and allow your arms and legs to slowly melt into the space around you.

Wherever you are,

Take a moment to get comfortable.

Begin to close your eyes,

Arriving in this moment to the whispers of your breath,

Noticing the noises around you,

Slowly distancing as you begin to focus inward and on my voice.

Noticing the thoughts that trickle in,

Setting them aside.

These next few minutes are for you and for you alone.

If a thought comes into your mind outside of my voice,

Allow yourself a moment to take a deep inhale and imagine the word release as you exhale.

Continue to come back to the space here and now with you and my voice.

Begin to focus on your breath.

Inhale through the nose and let out a sigh and deep exhale through the mouth.

What are you releasing with every exhale?

Inhale once more through the nose and let out another sigh through the mouth.

What can you let go of?

Continue to breathe,

Seeing if every exhale can deepen a little bit more.

Are you breathing all the way from your lungs to your belly?

Are you allowing your breath to fill up the space within you,

Bringing life force into your being?

Placing your hand on your heart and a hand on your stomach,

Feeling your breath rise and fall within you and finding gratitude for the safe place you can always come home to.

Inhale peace,

Exhale release.

Inhale peace,

Exhale release.

Inhale peace,

Exhale release.

Begin to practice a soothing breath by inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth as if you were blowing through a straw.

Inhale through the nose and exhale through the imaginary straw.

Continue to breathe.

Begin to imagine a white light hovering above the crown of your head.

This light represents the peace that is available to you.

What can you let go of to create space for this peace?

With your permission,

This light begins to fill your being,

Surrounding you with this warm,

Peaceful energy.

Entering the body,

Bringing warmth and relief as it moves through the top of your head all the way to your third eye or space between the brows.

Take a deep breath in and with your exhale release any remaining tension between the brows.

This glowing light continues to move through to the throat,

Creating peace in the space where your truth lies.

Take a deep breath in and with your exhale release any tension in the neck and shoulders.

This warm,

Peaceful light moves into the heart.

With a deep breath in,

Release all remaining tension within the upper body.

This light moves through your body all the way through your arms,

Your legs,

To the bottom of your feet.

And as this light holds you,

You begin to melt into the space that you're in.

You begin to breathe into this peaceful bubble that you have created for yourself.

Any thoughts that enter,

Worries,

Stress cannot move through this light.

You are safe.

You are held.

And this peace you are feeling is a space you can always return to.

It exists within you always.

Take a few deep breaths in this peaceful moment,

Allowing yourself to fully feel the warmth of this light.

Let's take a few deep breaths in this peaceful moment.

Let's take a few deep breaths in this peaceful moment.

Begin to bring awareness back into the body.

The light will begin to fade out of you as you wiggle your fingers and your toes.

But know that the peace of this light is something you can carry with you.

Maybe it feels good to roll your ankles and your wrists,

Inviting subtle gentle movements to your body,

Taking your arms overhead for a nice full body stretch.

And once you feel complete,

Slowly opening your eyes.

Welcome back.

I hope that these few moments gave you a breath of fresh air in a time that is heavy.

You are so held,

Supported and loved.

And I am so grateful that you are a part of this community.

Take care of yourself,

My friend.
