Key Lesson: Doing the right thing, in the right way, begins with seeing the right order of things. All of life's lessons point us toward this simple, celestial truth. Through the pain of missteps and mistakes, we are gradually awakened to discover what has always been right before our eyes: whenever things are out of order within us, our choices and actions must follow -- and sorrow is the inevitable result. Exercise: Before you start looking for solutions to any form of stress or suffering blamed on the world around you, come to a complete stop, and remember the first and most important place to look...is within. Why? Because your willingness to remain in the light of that awareness -- regardless of what is revealed within it -- is allowing that Living Light to not just show you perfect order, but empower you to enter into it.

The main topic,

The title is How to Put Your Life in Perfect Order Once and for All.

And wouldn't that be nice?

How many times have you and I felt like,

Okay,

We've pretty much got this thing settled,

And then out of the clear blue sky comes the great unsettling remark,

That shattered relationship,

A split second when everything that we had taken to be real proves itself not to be,

And the next thing we know,

Where are we?

We're trying once again to restore order to our life.

And I'm not allowed to say certain things on Insight Timer because they don't want any competition,

But just so that you're aware of it,

Those of you that know where to find me online when I'm speaking for free,

I will be enlarging this topic tomorrow.

Anyway,

I want to go over the key lesson with you,

Perhaps more than once because it sets the entire tone for our study,

And there's much to be gained from it,

So let's read it together.

Doing the right thing in the right way begins with seeing the right order of things.

All of life's lessons point us toward this simple celestial truth.

Through the pain of missteps and mistakes,

We are gradually awakened to discover that what has always been right before our eyes,

To discover what has always been right before our eyes.

Whenever things are out of order within us,

Our choices and actions must follow,

And sorrow is the inevitable result.

You and I know,

Or at least should at this point,

Especially if you've been studying with me for a while,

That there is something in us that is so quick to point the finger of blame,

So quick to judge us or others,

That we are not aware of it.

We are not aware of it.

So sure that the world has turned against us that it never dawns on us,

Even though,

Again,

It is right before our eyes,

That for instance,

And you need to work with me,

You need to follow the things that I'm going to help you see so that you can put it all together in a proper manner.

The world around us,

For instance,

I'm sitting here in,

Not in Oregon,

Florida,

But wherever you are in nature,

You can see that nature has a perfect order to it.

No bird falls from the sky,

No blade of grass is cut that isn't somehow or other incorporated,

Integrated into a greater whole that is aware of all of its parts and their interactions,

So that nothing takes place in nature that isn't part of a natural way that nature continues to harmonize the whole of her creation.

And important to see that is that we are not the creators of this order.

I know that some of us think that when we have made our gardens perfect or whatever it is that we have created in the world,

That somehow we're responsible for perfect order.

No,

We are mirroring perfect order.

If anything,

Humanity,

This level of consciousness is the disruptor of all things that are orderly.

It isn't natural that human beings lack compassion.

It is unnatural.

All of nature has a relationship that reconciles itself.

You and I alone do not know where or how to put things in their right order so that we're doing the right thing because we never start in the right place.

That's the whole point of this talk.

So that doing the right thing in the right way begins with seeing the right order of things.

Doing the right thing in the right way at the right time begins with seeing the right order of things.

And whenever things are disordered within us,

In our hearts,

In our minds,

Then,

As I said,

So follows our choices and actions.

And when our choices and actions are based on something that we think we see but we're actually blind to,

Stress and sorrow become inevitable.

If you had to gauge,

Look at your life,

What would you say?

That most of it's just beautiful?

Or are we pretty much constantly in some form of conflict,

Stress?

Because the world isn't aligning with how we see it.

And the problem is that the way we see the world primarily,

And I ask you to see this as true with me.

Our meetings are useless if you don't see the truth of this.

Our present level of consciousness primarily looks out,

Is aware of,

Deals with the world around us.

That's what we attend to all of the time,

The world around us.

And just to be clear,

Your thoughts about the world are the world around you and they are outside of you.

So that we're taken up with the promises that we make to ourselves or that people break.

We're taken up with dealing with problems and trying to figure out how to resolve them,

With problem people,

With possessions.

So the vast majority of our life,

And again I ask you to see this,

The totality of our life is spent on trying to control the experience of the world around us.

But what we don't see is that the world around us is the manifestation of the world within us.

So that we always see and experience what we say is the condition outside of us,

But what we're actually experiencing is our consciousness as it reacts and responds to whatever conditions agree or don't agree with it.

And that experience we blame on the world or seek in the world,

Failing to understand its source.

And I know so many of us,

I talk to you all the time,

We call ourselves spiritual,

We call ourselves good Christians,

Good Jews,

We may think that we're religiously oriented,

But the truth is if you're willing to see it,

And you must,

It has nothing to do with me,

The reality that we know best,

The one that predominates our attention is the world around us.

Ask yourself,

When someone does something I don't like,

When I see something that is going against what I believe is right and true and good,

What is it that determines my relationship in that moment with what I'm experiencing?

I say it's the world that's creating this experience,

When the truth is I am identified with a reaction I'm having that I don't even know I'm having,

Let alone that that reaction has divided me up into someone who is other than the world that is out of order,

And the conviction that I see it is out of order proves that I'm in order.

Do you know that when people hurt one another,

They believe they are restoring order to their life?

That when men and women do the selfish absence of compassionate things that we do about,

Because it's all about me,

I believe that's the right order,

Take care of myself,

Me first,

That's the right order,

And me first means change the world,

Control the world,

So that I don't have to experience the me that I don't want to be,

Because when I do that,

What have I got to do?

I got to fight with the world again.

So what predominates our attention and the experience that we take from that connection is the world outside of us.

Now,

Transition.

As physics itself now is beginning to wake up and teach,

This outer world and this inner world is inextricably intertwined.

This world within us,

This consciousness,

And the world it experiences outside of itself are inseparable.

What this means to us as we begin to unwind a little bit of this,

We start to learn.

Again,

Physics proves matter.

I'm looking at the bay,

The trees,

The mangroves,

My face,

This chair.

Matter is energy.

Einstein proved that.

And now physics is beginning to recognize that this energy,

The light of this energy that interconnects and ties everything together,

That that is the root of consciousness.

No awareness,

No consciousness.

So to start putting this together means that we,

Without knowing it,

Are always creating personally and planetarily what we see is a mirror of our own nature,

Is a reflection of the level of our interior state in that moment.

Again,

Quick proof.

I was sitting here getting ready to go online and talk with you,

And my mind kept saying,

Your collar isn't right.

It should be,

I'll demonstrate,

It should be more like that.

And it wouldn't stop trying to get me to adjust my collar.

Now,

Why would I be trying to adjust my collar unless something in me prior to sitting down knows how a collar should look?

So here I am,

And I'm only aware of what I see outside of myself,

And I'm not aware that something inside of myself is anxious.

Because if I was aware that anxiety was telling me how to present myself as a calm person,

As a collected person,

I would realize anxiety doesn't know anything about being collected,

Let alone what it means to be healthy from the inside out.

No,

It just wants the presentation.

So at some point,

And it's different for all of us,

Shock by shock,

And that is the way it takes place,

We begin to see the truth of this.

I know that some of you have had recent shocks where you have seen things that you never saw about yourself,

That the minute you see it actually begins to change the whole way you think about yourself and the world around you.

So that as these shocks come,

And we realize that we've been under the thumb of,

Literally,

Dominated by an unconscious nature,

A kind of darkness that is forever telling us how we must do and be and act in order to be proper,

We start realizing,

You know what,

I'm looking in the wrong place.

I've been trying,

I've been trying to,

I have been trying to look good since my mother told me I was cute,

And then I got a reward for something I didn't even have anything to do with.

Then you spend your whole life trying to look like what somebody flattered you over 40,

50,

And it never stops.

People are obsessed with looking in the mirror,

And not just the mirror in front of them,

The mirror of the mind,

Always checking out your own thoughts,

The reflection that you have in that experience.

Am I the right person?

Do I look right?

Am I saying the right thing?

And then without knowing it,

Because we're externally,

Outwardly directed,

We're unaware of what it is that's directing us,

What it is that's talking to us.

So bit by bit,

We realize,

You know what,

I've been looking in the wrong place for the wrong thing my whole life.

And that's a shattering observation when it comes,

And as it does,

Because if all I know to do is to look outside of myself,

Into my thoughts,

Into the people around me,

If all I know how to do is to look to some religious icon for a sake of sense of consolation,

I'm looking in the wrong place.

And the proof I'm looking in the wrong place is the results.

And the results are when something happens that's troubling,

All of that goes out the window.

And what comes in the door racing are these thoughts and feelings,

These fears,

Doubts,

And anxieties that tell me here's what you have to do to get things back the way that they're supposed to be in the right order of things.

So bit by bit,

This dissatisfaction with our relationship with the world,

With the people around us,

Slowly,

It begins to stir in us a certain need,

One that we didn't have before.

Maybe you can remember this moment in your life.

For me,

It was very early.

I need to investigate what is it in me that hungers and thirsts for something that no matter how much I feed it from the world outside of me,

Flattery,

Possessions,

Powers,

No matter how much I feed that nature,

That hunger and thirst doesn't go away.

It's there,

But what is it that will satisfy,

That will slate this hunger of thirst?

And we realize I'm looking in the wrong places.

I have to look someplace else.

I have to start looking inward,

Not outward.

When you listen to a fear tell you what to do about an event that may be coming or that has just transpired,

You are looking outside of yourself.

And the way that you can prove that is that what are you looking at that is producing the fear?

You're looking at what your mind has told you has happened,

And then you're listening to what that same mind that is blind is telling you you have to do.

So everything outward,

Outward,

Outward.

This revelation,

As gradual as it may be,

Is in fact the awakening of the slow entrance into what Christ called eyes to see,

Ears to hear.

Because I start seeing not with my old eyes.

My old eyes see you as the problem.

My old eyes see you constantly making these passively aggressive comments.

You're not changing.

That's what my eyes see.

But new eyes begin to show me that what's not changing is this consciousness that judges everything and that fears most circumstances that don't align with its idea of what's right.

So then little by little,

If you will,

The hero's journey,

The spiritual search begins.

And maybe for the first time in a person's life,

I can remember distinct moments when I was a boy when suddenly things that I had heard before started to take on a new meaning to me.

For instance,

As a broad insight,

Something Christ said connected intimately to what we're talking about,

Putting things in the right order so that we can take the right action.

Seek you first,

The kingdom of heaven,

And all else is added to you.

Now,

We're unbelievably comfortable thinking we know what that means,

Except what is it that we seek first when something upsets us?

Where do we go when something disturbs us?

And the answer is,

This nature goes into reaction,

Unbeckoned.

Reaction rolls into thoughts that are intended to not just reconcile the negativity we feel,

But tell us how to control the condition we blame for it.

So that that scripture that we may have even denigrated at some point in our life,

It starts to have a new meaning.

It actually opens up new questions inside of us.

For instance,

We start to realize,

Well,

Seek the kingdom of heaven within.

Within what?

Because it was always just sort of fived over.

Well,

You know,

Within me.

And then we're done.

Where is the kingdom of heaven within me?

What is the kingdom of heaven within me?

Or am I in the kingdom of heaven and I'm blind and I can't see it because my mind is constantly creating and recreating the order of life and relationship that it demands,

So that I'm not only blinded to the fact that I'm already part of the divine kingdom within me,

Where else would it be?

And because I can't see it and because I'm constantly fighting to control it,

I have no idea whatsoever even how to address these moments.

And to the point of this section of the talk,

We start to realize that what's most important of all,

Even though we don't know what else to do,

I want to stress that.

We're all so quick to judge ourselves.

And mostly the judgment isn't just because of our character,

But because we've imagined that we're some spiritual being,

Someone who loves Jesus or who is a good Jew or a good Muslim.

If everybody had that love that they profess they do,

You tell me why it is that we live in the isolation that we do.

Why it is that we're so absent of actual compassion,

So that it really actually dawns on us that someone else's pain should come before our own.

And the reason that we don't know it is because we're looking in the wrong place.

Why?

Because when people are in pain,

Our first objection,

Our first object is to deal with it,

Deal with them,

Deal with that circumstance,

Not discover the part of us that instantly separates us from being present to the right order of things in that moment.

So for now,

And there's a commercial,

You've seen it,

What's in Your Wallet?

Instead of that constant question that's always going on,

What's in your wallet?

Meaning,

What do I have?

What do I do?

How do I protect it?

How do I get more?

How do I keep it?

Instead of what's in your wallet,

The new question becomes,

As a result of the shocks of seeing that trying to control all of this is ridiculous,

The new question,

Not what's in your wallet,

What's in your consciousness?

What's in my consciousness when you said what you said?

Not what do I do about what you said.

What's in my consciousness when I can't get the moment to go the way I want to,

When somebody cuts me off in traffic,

When I say something nice to someone and they have no reaction at all,

Or they actually throw it back?

What's in my consciousness in that moment?

I'll tell you what's in that consciousness.

Anytime anybody denies or otherwise rejects you in any shape or form,

What's in our consciousness is to try to figure out what's wrong with them,

Or how do we make them see that they're wrong?

That's what's in our consciousness.

We need a new question,

Not how do we fix the condition,

How do we free ourselves from a level of consciousness that always sees things in the wrong order and always responds accordingly,

Creating over and over again the reincarnation of these relationships that don't change because the consciousness responsible for them remains unchanged.

Are you tracking with me?

I would like to know,

Yes or no.

Just some yeses or nos,

So I know you're following me for sure.

I can't tell you how important this is.

There's an old,

Old adage.

People attribute it to VH,

But VH was not the one.

The inner determines the outer.

That's one of the oldest truths there is.

That's what I'm describing to you in great detail so that we can have a better understanding of it.

The inner determines the outer.

For us right now,

The outer determines the inner.

And as long as that relationship remains in place,

We will always be somehow or other dominated by circumstances that this consciousness that we can't see is telling us we have to change our control.

So what do we do?

Nice deep breath.

I want to revisit an old story.

It might be new to you,

But when I do want to revisit these things,

I always do so because the material I'm working on has shown me something slightly deeper about it,

And I want to express that deeper understanding now connected to this idea of how to put your life in perfect order once and for all.

And let's just revisit that quickly.

To put my life in perfect order once and for all,

I must be a part of what is perfectly ordered.

To put my life in perfect order once and for all,

My consciousness must be rejoined,

Must be integrated into what is perfectly ordered at all times.

So here's a story.

A father representing in this instance some intelligence,

Some understanding is concerned with his daughter for reasons that he can't possibly explain to her.

He just sees certain tendencies appearing,

And one of them is definitely exhibited in her bedroom where strewn all over the place are all of these stuffed animals and toys that she's been given.

And I might add primarily to somehow or other keep her engaged,

Maybe out of the hair of her parents.

One would hope not,

But this is the case of it.

And he goes up into a room and he says,

Sweetie,

Look at your place.

I mean,

It's overflowing with these stuffed animals and the rest of these things.

Do you need all of them?

I don't know.

And this little girl,

She's already conflicted because she knows she's not supposed to be selfish,

But not because she's aware of what being selfish does to her,

But because she has been conditioned by her parents and her environment,

Just as those people and environment was conditioned to believe that if you're a selfish person,

You're a bad person.

Therefore,

You must be a good person,

Which does nothing to change the selfish nature,

Nothing at all.

Yeah,

I guess we could.

He said,

You know,

We could give up quite a few of these away to a homeless shelter,

To,

You know,

To children with need,

You know,

To goodwill,

Where it might serve someone else some pleasure.

Okay.

He said,

Well,

Let's,

Let's get everything put away.

Okay.

Okay.

She said.

And so she goes around,

Starts collecting stuff,

Digging out under piles of stuffed animals.

And she reaches in under one,

After clearing some of that and putting it in her cabinet chest,

She reaches in and she picks up this,

This,

This owl,

I call him Solomon.

I use that Solomon as a symbol of wisdom.

She picks up this old stuffed animal,

This old owl.

And when she picks it up and slightly squeezes it,

It goes,

Who do you love most of all?

She smiles,

Who do you love most of all?

And she looks over to her father and she laughs.

He laughs.

And then suddenly her face becomes sad.

Now,

This was all according to his,

If you will,

Intention coming up there,

Because he knows what has happened.

And this is an interior story.

Please.

She says,

You know,

What do you think is going on in you right now?

Why you were laughing.

Now you look kind of sad.

He says,

Why?

And he knows it's because she had forgotten her most beloved toy,

Solomon.

And he asks,

Okay,

Well,

How do you think that you came to forget what was always your most important friend?

And in that moment,

She realizes something that you and I have to realize.

Somehow she,

This little girl,

Had become so distracted,

Absorbed by the so many lesser things that Solomon,

Meaning this wisdom,

This intelligence,

This love had been buried so that she no longer even knew it existed and had become literally lost to her.

I'm trying to help you see something that maybe you can remember.

For some of us,

It might be a stretch.

This remembrance when I was a boy that somehow I don't know what it was.

I think all human beings experience it if it isn't crushed,

Snuffed,

A certain longing that one has to know to know what greatness is.

Not to be great.

I'm unfortunately saying that's what happens.

We have an innate love,

A need for what is great.

But this world twists it around to that you are intended to become great.

You are meant to become something special.

No.

So this need to have this greatness,

Which only can be established and continually reborn through a relationship with what is divine,

It's buried.

And here's the main lesson.

Unless we begin to remember,

Put together,

However it's put together,

Moment to moment,

That if we're not consciously attending to the well-being of our interior life,

If that's not the first thing then we're not attending to the need of the soul.

A soul that knows that what is great is God,

That what is great is Christ,

What is great is goodness,

Knows it without thinking it,

Hungers and thirsts for the circulation of those celestial lights that form an energy.

So that until we are attending to the well-being of this nature,

Our lives revolve constantly around what ultimately proves to be of so little importance.

I know most of us don't know that yet.

And part of our work is to be able to look at the whole of our life and realize,

You know,

I had that little shock and my life came unglued.

He said this and I fell apart,

And then I wanted to fall on him.

And then what happens when you get older and older and older and you start to see how temporary your existence is,

How thread-like even your health,

And yet always the same reactions that drive us to protect our attachments.

And what am I attached to?

I'm not attached to health.

I'm attached to the idea of health.

How do I know that's true?

Because I do what's unhealthy.

Because I'm not aware of the nature that hungers and thirsts for what feeds it,

Not what feeds the soul,

Not what develops a man or a woman's relationship with the divine.

So attachments,

Distractions,

These fleeting treasures of this world,

As Ecclesiastes called out,

All who struggle in the world of opposite struggle and vain,

Where the more we become identified with these distractions,

The more constantly and consistently everything that's truly valuable is covered up,

Just like Solomon got covered up in that little girl's room,

And thanks to her father,

She restored that relationship.

So if you're following me,

It brings us to this question,

If you're following me,

And I tell you it applies to everyone,

Even the saints and sages would deal with this question,

How have I forgotten what's meant to be first?

How did that slip away?

For most of us,

How did it not occur?

But at a certain point,

How does that slip away?

How do I start to make what has become first,

Which is this world and my thoughts about it,

How do I make what has become first last?

And make what is last now,

Which is attending to the well-being of the soul,

The interior life,

How do I make that first?

Because if I can get that first,

Then it will be in right order with that which is perfect order,

And order will stream from heaven to earth,

The will of heaven will be done on the will of earth,

Which is the will of what?

Perfect order,

Perfect reconciliation,

Unending rebirth,

That will become one's life,

But only as the first becomes the last,

And the last becomes the first.

And especially,

I would add,

In moments of the challenge,

Whatever may be our predominant sense of self in that moment,

Whatever we're identified with,

And by the way,

You should understand this,

Every negative reaction you have begins with something that you are identified with,

That you didn't know you're identified with.

So to look for the problem in the person or the possession,

The predicament,

Is insane.

Why?

Because it's only as painful as I'm identified with something in this unconscious nature that's telling me I have to have that,

Or that you have to be that way.

So let's move along.

Nice deep breath.

I have a story.

I hope you're able to connect these stories as I tell them.

So here's the CEO of a mega corporation,

And as all of the vice presidents have hoped,

Especially the newer ones,

They might be escalated to his personal assistant,

Meaning they would become the first vice president and gain the most experience because they would gain the most direct time with the CEO.

So here's this new apprentice to the CEO,

And they're sitting in the boardroom before all the other members come in,

And over the wires,

I guess that's an old expression,

Some news breaks,

Apple breaks some news,

And they're sitting there,

And there it is on their handheld devices,

And they're both looking at it,

And as the apprentices leave,

Oh my god,

Oh my god,

What's going to happen?

And the CEO apprentice looks at him,

Pretty clear that he's stressed,

That like the apprentice,

He's suffering to some extent,

But then the apprentice,

He hears the CEO say something,

It blows his mind,

Because the CEO says,

God is great.

What?

What?

God is great?

What are you talking about?

The apprentice protests.

How can you say that?

I mean,

Who are you kidding?

I mean,

I can see that you're stressed,

You're in pain.

The CEO says,

Yeah,

I am.

But on the other hand,

He said,

Maybe you've never heard this idea.

It's attributed to Christ,

But it runs through all true scripture.

What idea?

And what has that got to do with fixing what just got destroyed or might be destroyed?

And the CEO says,

Listen,

He prepares a feast in the presence of my enemies.

Again,

The apprentice,

Having no idea how fortunate he is,

She is,

To be under the wing of someone like they have been,

That they have found.

I don't follow you at all.

Here's this problem,

It may be so deep,

It may disrupt everything.

You're saying God is great,

And now you're quoting something about he prepares a feast in the presence of my enemies.

What has that got to do with facing what may be a terrible loss to all that you,

In particular,

Have struggled to create?

How can you be so calm?

The CEO says,

You know,

You still,

Like all of us,

Have so much to learn about what's most important of all.

He says,

But I want you to write this down.

And the apprentice doesn't want to move.

I want you to write this down.

The apprentice picks up a pad and a paper,

And the CEO says,

Write this down.

The feast that is prepared in the presence of your enemies is not food,

And it's not fortune.

The feast is not food,

It's not fortune.

That's all you presently know as the feast.

The feast,

And that's why I say God is great,

Is always what the divine light in that unwanted moment shows us is true about ourselves.

That's the feast,

And it is always present.

Not just helping,

The CEO said,

To reveal the false images that we have of ourselves,

But that the fear,

The anxiety,

That all of that negativity that you're experiencing right now is born out of a pride connected to a person that only exists in your imagination.

And that it is the extent of this identification with these images and everything that comes out of their resistance to the moment,

That's the problem.

And if it weren't for the light that shows us this nature,

The light that dwells in the darkness that the darkness knows not,

If it's not for that light,

We would never know it.

And by that light,

Do these creatures,

Do these thoughts and feelings lose their power over us?

And as these powers and principalities lose their power over us,

It is because for the first time we are in the right order at the right time in the right place that is revealing to us all that has been out of order in us.

How unique it would be for a man or a woman to actually realize that when they're negative,

Period,

And then act from it,

Period,

They are wrong.

There is no right lingering negative state.

There is no right lingering feeling about an enemy.

There is no right condition that carries on that is full of painful regret.

All of those are established in the moment as being necessary by an unconscious nature that says this is out of order,

We must restore it.

And if we can't restore it,

At least we can hate it and be bitter,

Which proves we're different than the order that we resist.

And that resistance,

That negativity does not prove that you're different from what you're resisting.

It proves that you can't see how out of order this unconscious nature is as it resists,

Hates,

And fights with the conditions that challenge it.

This is the right order of things to look within.

That should be our first order of business moment to moment,

Especially in troubling moments.

I don't know to what extent you can understand,

Let alone actualize what I'm describing,

But it is a great sign along the way when the first thing that you do with your attention is to withdraw it from what is trying to steal it and place it on the world outside of you.

That is a good sign when you are present enough to any painful complaining thought or feeling that as it appears in this consciousness,

Which it must do because of this unconscious nature in its constant state of comparing how things should be to what it imagines,

When you can catch that and in that moment look within,

Then you are entering into the place where order is already established.

And you are asking by entering into it for that order to act for you and to help you be more thoroughly aware of yourself than you were the moment before.

Our reactions tell us that this is mandatory,

That you have to see what's wrong.

That this can't go down like this.

Do you know what's going to happen if this goes on?

That's the order for us now,

Dominated by a dark misunderstanding of our relationship to this life and what has given it to us,

But a domination that takes place in the darkness that this light that I'm describing within that is the essence of order itself can make straight that crooked place.

So let me reiterate the key lesson that I started this talk with,

If Kate,

If you'll bring it up,

And then we'll have an exercise and summary.

Read along with me one more time,

Please.

The opening key lesson,

It restores,

Reestablishes and helps us remember what's most important.

Doing the right thing in the right way begins with seeing the right order of things.

I'm going to repeat it.

Doing the right thing in the right way begins with seeing the right order of things.

All of life's lessons point us toward this simple celestial truth.

Through the pain of missteps and mistakes,

We are gradually awakened to discover what has always been right before our eyes.

Whenever things are out of order within us,

Our choices and actions must follow,

And sorrow is the inevitable result.

Imagine the whole of one's life intended to deliver a single lesson,

That in one respect we can only learn by suffering all that we have called the most important lessons in life.

Become someone,

Get something,

Change people,

Fix this.

And all of that needs to begin to disappear like the shadow that it is,

But it can only begin to disappear and be seen as the shadow that it is as we enter into this light that already exists within us,

And that that becomes our first order,

Our first order of business.

So let's bring up this special exercise that I've written.

It'll be posted with this insight timer as well as on the,

And other places.

Read along with me.

Before you start looking for solutions to any form of stress or suffering blamed on the world around you,

Come to a complete stop and remember the first and most important place to look is within.

Let's repeat that.

Before you start looking for solutions to any form of stress or suffering blamed as we do on the world around us,

We must come to a complete stop and remember the first and most important place to look is within.

What a miracle that would be.

And it turns out to be a miracle,

As you'll see as you work with this exercise.

Why?

Because our willingness,

Your willingness to remain in the light of that awareness,

Regardless of what is revealed within it.

If I could underscore that on the exercise,

I would.

Regardless of what is revealed within it because when that light begins to show us this immense disorder,

How we have taken violence to be the proof of strength,

Anger as evidence of how right we are,

That we start to see,

My God,

I'm being chewed up inside and I'm going to listen to something that's chewing me up,

Tell me where to find consolation for the conflict I'm in.

In that moment,

This great movement starts to come to a stop and a person begins to recognize that regardless of what's revealed by that light,

When we choose,

It is allowing that living light to not just show us perfect order,

But it is inviting,

Empowering us to enter into it because the awareness of that light is having that light show us what we are unaware of and showing us what we need to put first.

And that action is perfect action and it puts our life in perfect order.

Then you're not confused about what do I do?

Where do I go?

What do I say?

You're no longer struggling with how do I fix this because you have begun properly separating the wheat from the chaff from what is practical and that which is impractical from what may be a problem that requires some resolution to an understanding that the whole nature needs to be reconciled to what is already perfect,

Which is our topic tomorrow,

By the way.

I trust you've understood some of this.

Go back and listen to it.

Read the key lesson,

Read the exercise,

But most importantly,

Work,

Work,

Work.

Don't go to sleep.

You don't know the gravity of this unconscious nature.

I'm telling you it exists.

You're experiencing it all the time,

But then you blame the world for sucking you into situations that if you could have seen better,

You wouldn't have entered into.

That's a sheer lie told by that nature.

See it and seeing it will free you from that nature,

Not by your power and not because of your greatness,

But because there is a greatness that already lives within you that wants you to enter into it and know its perfect order.

Just what I needed to hear today to "not fall asleep"! Go within instead of focussing on the outside world, know the perfect order! See what's really important and be constantly aware of that. Thank you Guy for your powerful insights and love the stories you tell in your lives to bring even deeper understanding. 🙏🤗🕊🩷💫
