Let's take a moment to settle into a comfortable position,
Just allowing yourself to get out any last bits of movement and arrive fully in this space.
Allow yourself to be here,
Now,
Without the need to fix anything,
To change anything,
Or rush to the next thing.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose and exhale gently out of your mouth.
Let's try that again.
Inhaling deeply,
Breathing in peace.
Exhaling slowly,
Letting go of tension.
Let this moment be enough.
And now,
Bring your awareness to today.
Not yesterday,
Not tomorrow,
Just today.
Know that there's nothing more required of you in this moment than simply being.
Take another breath in,
And as you do,
Imagine yourself setting everything else down.
Every worry about the future,
Every weight from the past.
See yourself placing them at the feet of Jesus.
You don't have to carry it all.
You were never meant to.
Come to me,
All who are weary and burdened,
And I will give you rest.
Matthew 11,
28.
Come to me,
All who are weary and burdened,
And I will give you rest.
Breathe that in and allow it to settle deep into your soul.
As for today,
You don't have to rush.
You don't have to strive.
You don't have to figure it all out.
Say these words quietly to yourself.
I am able to let go of the need for rush.
I will take time to slow down.
Rest is required.
Ease in my life is vital.
So let today be enough.
Let the small moments be enough.
Let God's grace for this moment be enough.
Breathe in His presence.
Breathe out the need to control.
Breathe in His peace.
Breathe out the weight of expectation.
Know that God goes before you in every moment that is to come.
You are free to simply walk and step with Him.
Psalm 118,
24 says,
This is the day that the Lord has made.
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Take one more slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
And release it out of your mouth.
And when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes,
Stepping forward with peace,
Knowing that as for today,
God is with you and that is enough.
