This meditation will help you begin your brand new day grounded in gratitude, compassion and creative optimism. It will also help you to align your self with the wisdom and guidance of the universe.

Transcript

Good morning.

Every morning is a fresh start,

A brand new day and a rebirth.

This meditation will help you begin your brand new day grounded in gratitude,

Compassion,

And creative optimism.

It will also help you to align yourself with the wisdom and guidance of the universe.

You will hear a mixture of guided directions and some important relevant statements.

Just follow the guidance and after each statement briefly contemplate what was said and absorb the thought.

Now relax into a comfortable position,

Preferably in a quiet place.

You can sit cross-legged on the floor,

In a chair,

Or lying down if you prefer.

Let all the tension in your body just drain away.

Now for a moment just observe your breathing.

Be aware of the miracle of your breathing and follow your breathing in and follow your breathing out.

Just watch your breathing and relax into its gentle rhythm.

Notice that your breathing is completely in the present moment.

As you follow your breathing,

You too move into the present moment.

Begin your meditation now by just saying,

Thank you,

Thank you,

Silently in your mind.

It doesn't matter who you are thanking,

The universe,

God,

Whatever or whoever,

Just feel gratitude and say,

Thank you.

Now slowly begin thinking of a few things in your life you are grateful for.

Consider them one at a time as they come up and give them each a little time so you can reach a depth of gratitude that might not be acknowledged day to day.

Now once more just say,

Thank you,

Silently within and feel gratitude filling your whole body and mind like a healing balm.

Now slowly move into your heart space,

Just intuitively move your attention to that place within your own being where you care deeply about the well-being of people,

Creatures and all of the environment.

Bring to mind the people closest to you and send out thoughts of well-being,

Happiness and protection.

Just send these thought vibrations out to those you love and to the universe.

Send them out from your heart space.

Now expand the circle of your caring thoughts to all of the people you love and all of the people you know.

Again send out these thoughts of well-being,

Happiness and protection.

Now expand your circle of love and well-being to all the people in your city or town.

Let the circle grow to include your state or province.

Send out these thoughts of well-being,

Happiness and protection for all.

Expanding even further,

Send out thoughts of well-being to the whole world.

Now completely let go of the boundaries of your circle of well-being.

Let it expand without limit to include the universe and all of creation.

Now for a moment,

Slowly shift your awareness to how you feel about yourself and your life.

Just observe with compassion and non-judgment your thoughts and feelings about yourself.

Notice any feelings of regret or disappointment you may have about your life.

Just observe and let them be for now.

Remind yourself that mistakes and failures are only stepping stones on the path to success and fulfillment.

Just let all self-judgment drift away like clouds and allow yourself to be the perfect human being that you are.

Perfect with all your wonderful qualities and perfect with all of your flaws.

Now visualize a beautiful,

Long,

Wide,

Sandy beach at the ocean in the early dawn.

Notice that all of the footprints of yesterday have been washed away by the waves in the night.

The beach is now pristine,

Fresh,

And ready for new tracks to be laid down by you in your brand new day.

This is your day,

Every day,

Fresh,

Pristine.

Yesterday has been swept away in the night.

This day,

Every day,

Is a fresh start,

A rebirth.

Now allow yourself to feel the optimism that comes from self-compassion and kindness.

Allow yourself to feel the optimism that comes with a clean slate and fresh creativity.

Consider the powerful and mysterious forces of the universe that have created our Earth,

All its inhabitants,

And all the amazingly complex and creative human beings,

Including you.

Contemplate for a moment the beautiful perfection of nature and the universe.

Be aware of how the creatures of the air,

The sea,

And the land are so perfectly evolved for their specific environments.

For a moment,

Allow yourself to trust that today the universe will provide you the same miraculous guidance and direction for your life as it has for the evolution of all life.

Now gradually shift your attention back to yourself.

Just kind of take an overview of the person playing the main role in your life,

The being you call me.

Observe yourself for a moment from a little distance,

Without judging or analyzing,

And send yourself again thoughts of well-being,

Happiness,

Protection,

And love.

Wherever your life is at right now,

Just let it be and offer yourself kindness and compassion.

You don't have to figure everything out and do everything all by yourself.

Be aware of the creative power and energy within you.

This is the same power as that which created the stars,

The Earth,

And all of life everywhere.

This quiet,

Immense power is always present,

Even while your thoughts are chattering incessantly.

Try now to visualize and feel the guiding power within you in the still place just before your thoughts.

Know that today guidance and inspiration will come from within,

From a larger dimension of your own consciousness and awareness.

Now trust and allow guidance and inspiration to see you through this brand new day and all your days to come.
