Ultimately,
All forms of meditation will lead to an effortless awakening of higher awareness,
Peace and joy.
This meditation is a form that uses letting go of effort as the method.
If you have not already done so,
Find a comfortable position in a quiet place,
Close your eyes or half close your eyes,
And relax.
Take one slow,
Deep breath and hold it briefly,
And then let it out slowly.
When you hold the breath,
You come in contact with your prana,
The life force,
That keeps your body breathing and alive.
Now just watch your breathing relax into a natural rhythm.
Gradually,
Just let go of trying to do anything.
Let all effort cease.
Just let everything be exactly as it is.
Whatever your mind is doing or saying,
Let it be.
Just be and don't do anything.
Effortlessly,
Allow everything to be exactly as it is in this moment.
Even if you are bored or resisting,
Just let that be too.
By allowing everything to be as it is,
You are moving closer to and into the larger dimension of your own being,
The larger dimension of yourself that is always just being,
Joy,
Love and wholeness.
Continue letting everything just be.
Whatever comes up,
Just let it be.
Whenever you feel any effort or engagement with your thoughts or feelings,
Just relax and let them be.
At the deepest level of your interior being,
You are pure consciousness.
You are the lucid awareness just before your thoughts and feelings.
By letting go of all effort,
You are more in touch with the you that is always just being and is always joyful and at peace.
Try to be aware of this larger consciousness that expands into who you really are.
Now slowly return your attention to your breathing.
Feel the life-giving power that is effortlessly breathing your body.
Open your eyes and observe the miracle of being alive.
