Welcome.
Let's begin by taking a moment to arrive.
Find a posture that feels steady and supported,
Whether sitting or lying down.
Let your body relax into stillness.
You can close your eyes,
Or soften your gaze,
And let's begin with a few deep breaths.
Inhale,
And exhale slowly.
Again,
Inhale,
And release.
Now let the body return to a natural rhythm.
Let the body be breathed.
Let yourself simply be here.
Bring your attention gently to this present moment.
What do you notice?
Perhaps the rhythm of your breath?
The contact your body makes with the floor or chair?
Or the sounds around you?
Just notice.
Now shift your awareness to something small and real that you appreciate right now.
It could be the warmth in the room,
The stillness,
The feeling of being held by the ground.
Let that appreciation grow gently in your awareness.
Let this next breath be a quiet thank you.
Inhale,
And silently say,
Thank you.
Inhale,
Exhale,
And feel the moment settle.
You don't have to feel overwhelmed by gratitude.
Just let a thread of appreciation weave gently through this moment.
Now bring to mind something in your life,
Something ordinary or overlooked that supports you.
It might be a daily routine,
A favorite object,
A kind gesture,
Or even your breath.
Hold that in your awareness.
As you breathe,
You might repeat silently,
I appreciate this.
This is enough for now.
If your mind wanders,
Gently bring it back to the breath,
And back to a sense of appreciation.
Let this final part of the practice be about receiving.
Receiving each breath.
Receiving the moment.
With no need to change anything at all.
Take one more deep breath in,
And slowly breathe out.
Begin to notice your body in space,
Your feet,
Your hands,
The sounds around you.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Let this quiet feeling of gratitude stay with you as you move into your day.
Thank you so much for your practice.
