Enjoy this short and sweet meditation that is grounded in the breath and gratitude for it. This is a perfect way to begin the day or to ground down into the inherent support of the miracle of your own breath, before you move into the world with others.

Transcript

Come to a comfortable seat and we'll start by noticing feet touching the floor.

Feel the sensations of your feet,

The pressure.

Be with the stillness here and know that the earth is beneath your feet,

The earth supporting you,

Gravity supporting you.

You might feel or sense the energy of the earth rising up through the feet.

Bring your attention up your legs,

Lower legs,

Upper legs and feel the pressure underneath your seat,

Your sit bones,

Supported by whatever you're sitting on.

Let your upper body sink and settle,

Let your jaw be loose,

Drop your shoulders just a little bit.

Maybe sense that they could pull back even just an eighth of an inch,

Micro-movement,

Softening the face.

Feel the sensation of the breath stirring,

Gentle ebb and flow.

Make contact with that all the way in,

All the way in.

If you're breathing,

You're alive,

Isn't that a miracle?

Just notice if you can sense a sprinkling of gratitude for that,

For that simple fact that your breath is breathing you today,

Right now,

In this moment.

You're alive and you're breathing,

Supported by breath,

Supported by the earth beneath you.

See what it's like to sense the energy of this,

Air around you,

The same air around you you breathe in.

Continue sitting if that feels right or I invite you to take this sense of support with you.

May you feel supported,

You are supported,

And you are loved.
