Establish the flow of the day by beginning in a good way. This morning, it is an invitation to ease into breath, the soundscape, and to a felt sense of spaciousness in the heart. We gently inquire into the heart space - as to how you might move a little slower and remember to pause as you transition throughout this day. Feel, in 10 minutes, the possibility of peace of mind and restfulness. Return to this practice each morning as you prepare to meet whatever the day brings - with calm, clarity, and care - feel the ripples of your presence permeate your life.

Good morning to you,

Wherever you are.

In whatever time zone of the earth you find yourself in,

Welcome.

Let's begin by settling in.

Let yourself arrive right now.

Dropping in,

In this new day.

And the invitation is to begin this day in connection with yourself as the breath breathes you.

Give a hello to yourself and acknowledge that you're starting your day in a good way.

Rest into the support beneath you.

Sense that the earth is holding you without condition.

There's no need to be anywhere else yet.

We start with stillness.

We begin with connection to this body,

This breath,

This loving awareness.

And let's gently open the doors and windows to sound the soundscape.

Let the sounds come to you.

Allow the texture of the soundscape be heard in your room and coming from outside.

Now bring a light noticing to the breath.

Let it move in and out naturally.

No need to perform or change or control the breath.

Simply be with the rhythm of your own breath.

Feel the breath in your ribcage,

Your back,

Soft belly,

Upper arms.

Let it ripple through your whole being.

Let yourself be breathed.

Feel the air against your skin,

The aliveness that's here.

Tingling sensations,

Buzzing,

Warm or cool.

You don't need to reach for anything.

Everything is already here.

And let's see what it's like to gather attention around your heart space.

Let yourself rest in connection with that heart.

Each breath massaging around the heart.

Gently opening up a doorway to the great presence that's already here.

Trust whatever arises right here in this getting ready for the day.

And know that your heart,

Mind and body have been seen and heard.

This morning does not ask anything of you.

It only offers itself freely,

Quietly,

With friendliness.

What would it be like to be friendly to yourself today?

To keep this connection to your heart and highest self?

You might move a little slower,

Taking pauses between the transitions of your day.

May the stillness follow you.

May it move with you.

Not as something to hold on to,

But as the ground you walk on.

Alive,

Aware,

Already whole.

And when you forget,

No problem.

Pause.

Breathe.

You might start to move a little bit,

Noticing what the body wants to do.

Having a stretch,

Wiggling toes and fingers,

Rotating the neck or shrugging the shoulders.

Gently open your eyes and greet this day.

And know that you have begun in a good way.

May you move slower than usual today and take the friendliness of morning with you.
