Bell Tame,
What a magical time of year.
We're at the halftime of when we just had the Veronon Equinox and the summer solstice.
In Celtic traditions this is the time of the spring truly beginning.
The midway point through the spring.
This is when the seeds are sprouting and we're replanting in our gardens.
We're taking out the weeds.
We're walking under the moonlight at night feeling the air getting a little warmer.
Noticing the birds coming around during the day.
Feeling a little lighter in our step.
A little lighter in how we dress.
And a little easier in our breathing.
The air is inviting.
Oh yes,
There may be tree pollen around.
Things that are acting up our allergies but it is a time of renewal.
It's a time of awakening.
It's a time of expansion.
This is when we're really starting to see our intentions coming and growing.
So take a breath in,
Breathing in.
The beauty that is yours as you walk where you are.
Walk in your neighborhood in a park.
Notice the flowers starting to come up with colors they are,
How they smell.
Feel the ground starting to thaw.
Feeling a little moist.
Sit down,
Breathing in the air.
Feeling your feet rooted in the earth.
Relax in your chair.
Feeling as if your head is suspended by a string coming from the sky and dropping down a golden core down through your spine to the base.
Coming out your tailbone,
Dropping down into the earth.
Readjusting your spine as you allow yourself to breathe in the beautiful air.
The oxygen so freely available to you.
As you feel the air,
Coming in,
Circulating,
Bringing this beautiful oxygen to every part of your body.
Feel yourself relaxing a little more,
Going a little deeper as you let go of any cares,
Worries that you may have.
Feel this oxygen and this creative moment in your body where everything is coming alive.
The feeling of abundance,
The possibility of abundance,
The letting go of fears,
Allowing oneself to dance in the rituals of spring,
To allow ourselves to frolic in the grass,
At least in our minds.
It is a tradition that there is a maypole.
You may have even played that game as a child.
And as you go around the maypole with ribbons,
They interweave a pattern.
This is the sign of creation.
This is what's going on at this moment.
Life is coming around.
Vultane is a celebration of life,
Of fertility,
Of growth,
Creativity.
Allow yourself to linger a little longer,
Taking in the air,
Feeling the smell,
The flowers.
And some of the flowers of the trees,
Their petals are floating in the breeze,
Creating this imagery of almost like snow petals blowing on the wind.
As the pollen of the dandelions floats away,
Going to another place,
Pollinating another place,
Setting root elsewhere,
Flowers giving way in the breeze,
The unexpected places where you look,
Where the winds have taken their seed the year before,
And now they're popping up.
All these things are feltane,
So enjoy it.
Feel the freedom,
The coming alive,
The beauty in your life.
Let go fear,
Restlessness.
Let your feet be light and your heart filled with gaiti and some laughter.
Come back to your breath,
Feeling the sense of a little more aliveness,
A little more peace at the same time,
And some gratitude for this wonderful celebration of the day.
Namaste.
