Desert Meditation For Healers And Helpers

We are all healers. Remember who you are. Just be. You are part of the light of the earth. Relax deeply in this soothing guided meditation that takes you into the southwest desert, in Joshua Tree. You are on a healing journey to compassion for yourself and all. Rest in the serenity of this sacred moment in God's great beauty and solitude. Reflect on what really matters to you. Be in the unity of all, awaken.

This is Georgiana Lotfi and I welcome you to Healing the Healer Guided Imagery.

Guided Imagery is a type of meditation that relaxes and focuses on one area.

In this Guided Imagery we will focus on the harmony and unity of all life and surrender to our Creator.

We will allow the passion of our Creator to nourish our lives and heal us as we heal others.

This Guided Imagery is designed to bring a high state of energy so that you can complete your work in this world because the world needs the grace of your healing.

As we journey into the desert I will invite you to open the chamber of your heart and begin to understand your place in God's unfolding journey for you towards peace.

Also,

In listening to this Guided Imagery I invite you to awaken to God's direction for your life.

Know that you have been traveling your path and making choices of direction even when you were uncertain of where your path was headed.

Through all of your life God has been present and a constant source of love.

Because we know that with God's healing grace we are able to move mountains,

We surrender our will to God and allow this healing grace and light into our lives.

Our life's journey demonstrates our relationship with all of life.

Light from God flows through us to heal not only ourselves but also others.

In this healing we are not limited by time or space.

We are vessels of light for all of life.

This Guided Imagery invites God's love to us as we accept the present moment and know that the past and the future is part of this present moment.

We are all the beauty,

Joy and pain of our lives as we breathe into this moment and in this peace with God we are creating the next moment as present becomes future.

As we breathe we surrender to this moment and surrender to God's healing and God's guidance for us.

We are part of the light and love of the world and join the collective power of all light of the world.

We work for the good of all and let go of all expectation of results of our work.

As we are renewed and open to the vibrancy of light and love we are able to give to others.

I invite you to join me as I begin this Guided Imagery meditation to allow God's love and passion to flow through you as you enter the space where all passion and love and healing exist.

Guided Imagery To begin,

Please relax into a comfortable position where you will not be disturbed.

I invite you to choose a comfortable chair or if you prefer you can listen to the meditation while lying down.

Whatever position you choose,

Lie or sit with a minimum of movement.

I suggest that you uncross your legs and arms so that circulation flows easily throughout your body.

I invite you to close your eyes.

Notice that you are breathing.

Your breath is the breath of God.

It is a miracle to breathe.

Notice your breath as you inhale and exhale.

With this breath,

God gives us life.

It is through our breath that we are given God's love in the very first inhale of our first breath at our birth into the world.

Continue to breathe in a normal fashion.

If you have thoughts,

Acknowledge that you are having a thought,

But know that you do not have to follow your thoughts.

Let your thoughts pass like clouds passing slowly in the sky.

If there are sounds in your environment,

Traffic,

A dog barking,

Or any other sounds,

Let these routine sounds flow through you and in every way bring you back to my voice.

I invite you to imagine you are walking in the desert.

You feel the sun's warmth on your body beginning at your head as its warmth relaxes your brows.

Feel the sun as your eyes relax.

Feel the sun as it relaxes the area around your cheekbones.

The light of the sun releases the tension in your jaw.

You take comfortable steps and as you take each slow step you are able to hear the sound of the firm desert floor beneath your feet.

You hear the gravel sound as your foot touches the desert floor.

Your arms are by your side and you feel each finger relax as you walk.

You notice your breath.

The sounds of your in-breath and the sounds of your out-breath are in you and surround you.

With each step you breathe in the clear air of the desert and with each step all tension is released.

As you look ahead of you,

You notice there are many rocks scattered on the path.

You are following the path and recognize that the rocks have been in this desert many thousands of years before you and will be there for thousands of years after you.

You are in a timeless place and your life exists with these rocks on this day,

On this path,

In this desert,

In this sunlight.

You look more closely at the rocks and see the colors of mineral and ore that almost sparkle.

A soft breeze brushes your head.

You feel the breeze on your arms and face as you take each step forward.

The desert floor is firm.

The soft sound of the breeze in the bushes meets the quiet sound of your breath.

In the distance you hear a bird's song.

The quiet of this place calms you further and in this peace you can almost hear your heart beat slower and slower,

Steady and strong as you walk.

You have walked this quiet path before and know where you are going.

Ahead of you opens into an expansive view of the desert beyond you.

You see the shapes and colors of the desert bushes before you.

Hues of brown,

Gold,

Beige,

Light green sage,

Cactus colors and the rust and gray colors of the rocks in the sunlight.

These colors meet at the horizon to the bluest sky you have ever seen.

In the sky are lazy clouds of white swirls that contrast with the deep blue of the sky.

You walk further towards the expansive view of the hills and the mountains beyond the desert floor.

You are totally at peace and relaxed in this quiet place as you approach the end of the path.

You can see in the short distance ahead the end of the path as it overlooks the hills and the mountains and the valleys.

You see to the left and to the right and in front of you the view of the magnificent landscape of the desert.

In this place you are at peace with the world within you.

You are at peace with the beauty of the desert colors.

The sky calms you.

The strength of the rocks and the mountains surround you.

You gaze at the soft curves of the hills.

You see the light and the shadow of their forms.

Your head turns slowly to gaze from side to side to take it all in.

Again you feel your breath as you inhale and exhale.

Your feet are firm on the earth.

You stand tall in this glorious place,

Breathing deeply of the air,

Feeling the breeze that fills your ears and touches your cheek.

Nothing obstructs the view of the hills and the mountains as you gaze and rest in this place to take in the magnificent beauty and peace.

You are on the true ground of being upon which we stand.

God's peaceful ground of being,

Completely relaxed and in God's love in this,

God's desert.

You stop to rest from your walk through the desert.

Resting in this place you are open to God's will and guidance.

As you rest in this sacred place you have a prophetic dream.

In your dream you are lying under an evening sky full of stars.

You know you are safe in this place.

You have been here before.

The air is cool and comfortable as you breathe.

It is quiet and you can almost hear your heart beating.

The stars fill the sky above you.

Some stars seem to shine brighter than others.

You see the Milky Way with its white strokes painted across the night sky.

Then,

From one distant star,

A twinkle of light begins to grow brighter and larger.

The twinkle of light expands into a band of light that stretches slowly across many stars and slowly across a large portion of the sky.

There before you the light transforms from white to large bands of gold,

Orange and white.

The light expands into brush-like strokes of color filling your eyes and senses with glory.

You know that the light is coming from God and you know you are safe.

You witness the light travel from its place in the distant sky to the earth where you lie.

The illumination increases and its tender glow surrounds you.

You feel bathed in the colorful light as it washes over you.

The night air is cool and you are quite comfortable.

As you observe this dazzling light in the sky,

You recognize the passion of God's love in the many colors of light.

The colors intensify your passion.

The light seems to reach deep within your heart to the place where all love dwells and your passion is renewed.

You sense that with this cascade of light you are being gifted with a greater ability to love and to be loved.

You know the light is symbolic of the essence of who you are.

You sense the knowledge of your purpose,

The depth of the meaning of your birth.

The light reaches deeply into the most inner parts of your soul,

Uniting and joining your own inner fire.

Your eternal flame is endless and timeless,

The spirit of all that is.

The eternal flame of your inner being unites with all others,

Lighting all darkness.

As this light flows from God's love through you,

You become a light for others.

Illumination increases the illumination,

Each becoming more bright,

Increasing in light and increasing the collective light of the world.

You know that light cannot be held or grasped.

Light passes through with its greatness and its power.

Letting go is allowing the passage of light through you and on to others.

Your good deeds are the essence of this light through you to others.

You do your work and let go.

Just as you breathe in and out,

God nourishes your work with untold blessing.

You may not see this nourishment or divine help,

But know that God's plan is far greater than your plan.

In the stillness,

You let be and let go to the knowledge that God's great plan illuminates beyond your knowledge.

You know that God's great power is beyond your power.

You know that God's great understanding is beyond your understanding.

I invite you to put one hand over your heart and open to this wisdom as I repeat these words.

In the stillness,

You let be and let go to God's love with the knowledge that God's great plan illuminates beyond your knowledge.

You know that God's great power is beyond your power.

You know God's great understanding is beyond your understanding.

Relax your hand and surrender to God's will and plan for all.

Goodness and healing flows through you from the place of all healing,

God.

This truth fills your heart and is the promise and completion of your soul's journey.

Remember who you are and where you are going.

You are relaxed and at rest.

Consider your healing journey as you heal others.

Grateful for your work and nourished by this wisdom.

Trust that your soul will guide your healing journey as you heal others.

You are grateful for your work.

Now you begin to notice you are lying under the sky and you begin to sense the colors of orange,

Gold and white starting to grow dim.

The colors fade slowly and you begin to see the stars become clear.

With each breath,

The stars become visible and bright again in the vast dark sky.

You become aware of the many stars,

All individual lights that glow.

The great light show of color that bathed you is gone,

Returned to its source,

Leaving its glorious imprint of healing and love deep in your soul.

You breathe a sigh of peace and thanksgiving for the time you have spent with the great light of all.

You breathe again the truth of your work on earth and let this be and let go to God's will for you and for all.

Time passes and you begin to awaken from your dream.

Slowly you feel and stretch each finger of your right hand,

Then stretch each finger of your left hand.

Begin to stretch each toe of your right foot,

Then stretch the toes of your left foot.

You feel your whole body awakening as you stretch.

Your body is part of the masterpiece of life.

You begin to become aware of your body lying or sitting in your comfortable position in your safe space.

You begin to become aware of the space that you are in.

You are grateful for this journey to light and God's love.

Your journey in this meditation is now complete.

You are comforted with joy and the wisdom of your truth and essence.

You are ready to continue your work with compassion for yourself and love for others.

You are part of the light of the earth.

You are energized with this knowledge.

You breathe in passion,

Healing and love,

All that has been gifted to you.

You trust the unfolding light.

When you are comfortable,

Open your eyes and come back into the room refreshed and renewed with great passion for your life.
