Prayer To My Guardian Angel

One of Five individual prayers. One each to Jesus, Mary, Joseph, our Guardian Angel and Saint Teresa Avila to help ask for God's help in abandoning your restless mind and body to God's care.
These daily prayers are a way of saying goodnight or praying anytime to our Creator to give thanks for the day He has given us.

Prayers for sleep and comfort to my guardian angel. You have been with me all day in my joy and in my struggles, In my triumphs and in my griefs. Come to me now with open arms to breathe with me as I lay me down to sleep. You are close as my breath, Gentle as the dove, Yet watching in the great stillness and the quiet and have power to save me from my stumblings. As you attended to me in this day, Protecting me from harm, Bringing love to my life, I now hear you near me. Whisper on the way into the night towards peace and stillness, Toward all that is goodness. Sent from Holy Spirit, Our Lord, All knowing and quiet, As I in reflection breathe and give thanks for God's great love, For your great kindness to me. And I ask in these moments, Slow my thoughts, To open to your glory God's power and Jesus' love, So that I may be with you through this night, As you are with me always in peace. I pray. Amen.
