Prayers for Sleep and Comfort Prayer for Healing to Jesus Dear Lord,
Listen to my cries for healing.
Listen to my groans.
I know I am overwhelmed by darkness and cannot see you in all this.
I sigh,
For I have lost much,
And I am angry as I lay myself to sleep.
I need the love and the touch of your hands to heal me.
I long to be close to you,
With trust that it is you,
The rock,
It is you.
The healer.
I long to release my terror at what might be.
Help me from my worried mass of thoughts.
Fill this empty night with your peace.
I am broken and need the grace that only you can bring.
Gracious power,
Teach me in my days and in my sleep to love you more.
And in my rest,
Heal my body in all its brokenness.
To my deepest cells and in my most fearful places,
Shine your light.
To heal all parts that are not in love with your being and power for me.
I desire to open my arms to you in rejoice and feel your presence.
To be an instrument of your peace,
As you are an instrument of peace to me.
Transform my sorrow into the truth that is you,
So that I might please God in every way.
Stir your love in me.
Abandon my will to you.
