Welcome lovely,
Take a moment to arrive in the space.
Allow yourself to settle into position that's the most comfortable for you.
That doesn't ask much from you.
Maybe you can sit or lie down,
Making any adjustments as you go.
This is your sacred space.
To rest and to just be.
Just know that there is nowhere you need to get to in this practice.
I think you have to achieve.
Or change or fix.
Just giving yourself these few minutes to be exactly as you are.
Knowing that just being here and breathing is enough.
And then just begin by noticing the support underneath you.
Maybe it's the bed,
The chair.
The floor or your mat.
Feeling the places where your body is being held.
Where you are supported.
And instead of asking your body to hold itself up,
Simply allow yourself to be held.
Just being here.
Being held by the earth.
Being held by the surface underneath you.
Being held by life itself.
Noticing how is your breath moving through you today.
We are not trying to create a perfect breath.
But just simply noticing.
And maybe you can feel this breath in your belly,
In your ribs and chest.
Maybe your breath feels tired or shallow today.
You don't have to forcefully deepen it.
Just breathing here as you are.
Letting this breath help you soften a little bit more.
Help you solve any unnecessary effort.
Just relaxing naturally.
Noticing if there's anywhere in your body where you might be working harder than you need to,
Where you might be stressing.
Perhaps it's your shoulders.
Maybe your forehead can soften a little bit.
The muscles around your eyes.
Your jaw.
The tongue inside the mouth.
Your belly.
Or even your hands.
Reminding yourself here I don't have to do anything right now.
You can just be.
Shifting their attention from thinking and doing into the space of pure being.
If you've been living with ongoing tiredness and fatigue you may be very familiar with the feeling of having to push through.
Pushing through the morning.
Pushing for the wax.
Pushing through your responsibilities.
Pushing through when your body is asking for something different.
So for these few moments here just know that there is nothing to push through.
You don't have to try to overcome your tiredness.
You don't have to fight it.
You can just simply make a little bit more space around it.
So just taking a few moments to notice the tiredness itself.
Noticing that tiredness maybe as a sensation.
And experience.
Of feeling.
Simply a part of what's here today.
Not trying to change it,
Not fighting with it but allowing it to be.
Noticing how it feels,
Maybe it's heavy.
Maybe dull or foggy.
Maybe your body feels a little bit slow.
Or your mind feels full like there is just too much.
Or maybe you are not noticing anything particular.
Just whatever is here,
Welcome it simply.
Can you welcome this tiredness as a guest that you are simply curious about?
And instead of just saying or thinking why am I so tired,
Why does it happen to me again,
I should be doing more.
Instead of that,
Just see what happens when you offer yourself a little bit different question.
What would support me right now?
What could bring me a little bit more nourishment?
Just listening.
Maybe it's rest.
Maybe some more stillness.
Maybe it's warm for you.
Or a little bit more space.
Maybe it is simply a bit more kindness and love for yourself.
You don't have to act on this answer straight away,
Just allowing yourself to listen.
Just being in this space.
Beautiful and then bringing your awareness back to the places where your body is supported.
Feeling the weight of your body.
Allowing the ground,
The earth to take some of that weight away.
Maybe it's your bed that's taking that weight or the chair underneath you.
After softening a little bit of that heaviness,
That weight that you are carrying,
Let go Know that you don't have to carry it all alone.
And then through the next few exhales just imagine creating a little bit more space inside your body.
Just space.
On the exhale creating the space around your breath.
Space around your thoughts.
Space around that tiredness and fatigue.
There is no holding on to any tension,
There is no tensing.
Now performing.
You can just simply soften.
Just being of yourself here.
And even if your mind is still carrying some thoughts,
You don't have to try to force to empty it all.
It's okay for the thoughts to be there.
But remembering that you don't have to follow all the thoughts.
You can stay grounded in this space of awareness.
And maybe for the next few breaths you can place your hands on your heart.
On your belly or wherever it's comfortable for you.
Just inviting these gentle words I am allowed to slow down.
I am allowed to have limits.
I don't have to end my rest,
I deserve rest every day.
And my worth is not measured by how much I did today.
My worth is not measured by how much I did today.
Letting those words sink into your heart and into your body.
Beautiful my love.
Maybe you can give yourself a gentle self hug.
Gently massaging the space around your heart or your belly or even your facial muscles.
The intention here isn't to leave this practice feeling full of energy and ready to do more tasks but it's simply to leave with a little bit less pressure.
A little bit less resistance.
And a little bit more space inside yourself.
When you are ready,
Beginning to notice the room around you again.
Maybe gently opening your eyes,
Taking a few stretches.
Or you can stay there in this restful space,
Noticing any sounds around you.
The surface beneath you.
Just remembering to move slowly throughout the rest of your day.
Remember that you don't have to fight your body to care for it,
To feel good within it.
You can listen,
Adjust.
And you can make that space and this is perfectly enough.
Thank you so much for listening to this practice.
I hope you feel just a little bit lighter and a little bit more peaceful.
Remember there is nowhere you need to rush to.
Take it at your own pace.
Namaste.
