Welcome,

Beautiful souls.

My name is Danielle.

This is a letting go yoga nidra meditation practice just for you.

It's an opportunity to move forwards from habits,

Stress responses,

And old energy.

Set your course as we observe the depths of your being,

Exploring what is holding you back and guiding you towards a profound release.

Take a moment to create your most tranquil yoga nidra space.

Rest your surroundings for a peaceful ambience by dimming the lights and gathering comforting elements.

If you are lying on your back,

A blanket for under your head,

Pillows for behind the knees,

And socks if your feet tend to get cold.

Turn the palms to face up and let the legs naturally roll outward.

Minimize distractions as you settle into your yoga nidra practice,

The practice of non-sleep deep rest.

Now,

Make those final adjustments to enhance your comfort and begin this well-earned journey of deep relaxation.

Now that you've found a comfortable position,

Close your eyes gently and bring your attention to your breath.

Inhale deeply through your nose,

Filling your lungs with fresh revitalizing air.

As you exhale,

Release any surface tension,

Allowing it to fade off into the distance.

Feel the weight of your body sinking into the support beneath you.

Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest with each breath.

As you continue to breathe,

Visualize a soft golden light surrounding your body,

Creating a cocoon of tranquility.

With every exhale,

Imagine this light carrying away any tightness or discomfort.

Now,

Shift your awareness to your face,

Relax your forehead,

Soften your eyebrows,

And release any tension you feel in your jaw.

Allow your tongue to rest at the bottom of your mouth,

Freeing the muscles around your neck and throat.

Feel a sense of spaciousness and ease spreading through your entire facial region.

As you move your attention down to your shoulders,

Consciously let go of any lingering tension or tightness that you feel.

Feel your shoulder blades melting into the surface below.

Picture a warm,

Soothing energy flowing down your arms all the way to your fingertips,

Bringing a sense of relaxation to every muscle.

Continue this journey of relaxation,

Bringing awareness to your chest,

Abdomen,

And lower back.

With each breath,

Feel these areas gently expanding and contracting.

Sense the warmth and comfort spreading through your torso,

Creating a feeling of safety and ease,

Giving yourself permission to surrender.

Now,

Direct your attention to your hips,

Thighs,

And knees.

Allow the muscles in your lower body to release any accumulated tension.

Feel the heaviness of your legs as they surrender to the support beneath you,

Stress dissolving,

Leaving behind a deep sense of calm.

Finally,

Bring your awareness to your ankles,

Heels,

And the soles of your feet.

Feel a tingling sensation as you connect with the earth beneath.

Picture any remaining tension draining away,

Leaving your entire body in a state of relaxation.

Feel the stillness,

And within the stillness,

Darkness,

Creating a peaceful foundation to explore the depths of your inner self.

As you lie here in relaxation,

Gaze to your heart center and picture a lotus flower poised to rise from the dark,

Muddy waters of life's challenges.

As you lie here surrounded by the gentle currents of relaxation,

Consider what may be holding you back,

Inhibiting your growth,

Or causing unnecessary turmoil.

What aspect of your life needs a gentle push towards transformation?

Let these reflections guide you in formulating a positive statement or sankalpa that reflects your commitment to change and growth.

Craft your intention with the grace and resilience of a lotus emerging from the murky depths to unfold its petals in the radiant light,

In the present tense,

As if it is already unfolding in your life.

For example,

I am letting go of what no longer serves me and opening to love,

Compassion,

Forgiveness,

And understanding within.

Feel the words resonate with you,

Aligning with the deepest yearnings of your heart.

Picture your intention as the heart center of the lotus,

Unfurling its petals with each repetition.

Repeat your sankalpa three times,

Silently to yourself.

Imagine the lotus flower gently rising,

Lifting itself above the dark waters,

Symbolizing your commitment to change and growth.

Allow the image of the lotus to become a powerful metaphor for your journey,

A journey of self-discovery,

Transformation,

And the emergence of your truest,

Most authentic self.

The unfolding beauty and potential within,

Guided by the wisdom of the lotus flower and the love that resides within you.

Imagine a gentle light of awareness moving through different areas of your body that I mentioned,

Illuminating them one by one.

Observe without judgment.

Simply witness the sensations and energy present in that particular space.

Begin now,

Moving down to your right hand.

Feel the energy in your right thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Pinky.

Sense the aliveness and warmth in the palm of your right hand,

Back of your hand,

Right wrist.

Right wrist.

Sense the weight of your hand completely supported by the surface beneath you.

Feel the calming energy in your right forearm,

Elbow,

Upper arm.

Notice any sensations,

Tingling,

Warmth,

Or even stillness.

Drift up to your right shoulder and into the collarbone.

Move your awareness down to your left hand.

To your left hand,

Feel the energy in your left thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

And pinky.

Palm of the left hand,

Back of the hand.

Move up to your left wrist,

Forearm,

Elbow,

And upper arm.

Release any lingering tension.

Allow the soothing energy to pass and penetrate every muscle and joint.

Shift your attention up to the left shoulder and collarbone,

Down to your chest,

Upper back.

Feel the rise and fall of your chest with each breath.

Notice the expansion and contraction of your ribcage,

Your abdomen,

Lower back,

Pelvis,

Lower back,

Pelvis,

Hips,

Both right and left hip,

Down through your thighs,

Knees,

Lower legs,

Calves,

Both feet,

The whole of your right leg and left leg.

Feel both of your legs.

Notice the whole body,

The whole body without judgment.

Simply observe with each breath.

Imagine exhaling any residual tension,

Allowing it to dissolve into the space around you.

Now,

Bring your attention to the natural flow of your breath.

With each inhalation,

Draw the breath in through your nose,

Allowing the cool,

Tranquil air to journey upward,

Ascending to the third eye center,

The seat of intuition and inner wisdom.

Picture the breath as a gentle stream of moonlit energy,

Infusing the sacred space with clarity and insight.

As you reach the peak of each inhalation,

Let the breath linger momentarily at the third eye center,

Illuminating this area with the soft glow of lunar light.

Sense the expansion and openness in this space,

Inviting a deep connection to your inner self.

Now,

As you exhale,

Visualize the breath gently cascading down through the body.

Like a soothing waterfall of release,

With each exhalation,

Surrender any tension,

Any weight,

Allowing the breath to wash away the old story,

To wash away the copy and paste pattern.

Picture the lunar energy guiding the breath,

Creating a pathway for letting go.

As the breath descends,

Envision it moving through the heart center,

Opening and expanding this area with each exhale.

Sense a very gentle blossoming,

Like the unfolding petals of a lotus under the moonlight.

Let each breath warm you with forgiveness and understanding and heart-centered expansion.

Continue to feel this rhythmic breath drawing in through the nose,

Up to the third eye center,

And exhaling down through the body,

Across the heart space.

With each cycle,

Feel the heart center opening,

Elevating,

And embracing the freedom that comes with letting go.

As you breathe,

Contemplate the deeper questions that reside within.

Who are you in this moment?

Why are you here in this sacred space of self-discovery?

Allow the breath to be a gentle guide into the landscape of your inner being.

Sense the unfolding of new patterns with each breath,

Like the moon influencing the tides,

Shaping the currents of your own energetic flow.

In this breath-centered meditation,

Let go of the old,

Make space for the new,

And allow your heart to shine bright in the stillness of the night.

May the breath guide you into the depths of self-discovery,

Bringing clarity and openness.

Let each breath be a step towards unveiling your truest self under the gaze of the moon,

Much like the lotus flower rising above the dark,

Muddy waters,

Embodying the beauty that emerges from the depths of transformation.

Let your awareness start to return to the sanctuary of your physical being.

Feel the micro-universe within you.

Sense the breath returning to your body,

Carrying with it the wisdom and serenity of the moonlit night.

As you draw your attention back to the breath,

Each inhalation sparks a dance within your micro-universe,

Infusing every cell with the nourishing essence of the breath.

Picture the lotus flower within your being,

Nestled in the depths of your heart,

Receiving this rejuvenating energy.

With each inhale,

Visualize the lotus unfolding its petals,

Awakening to the gentle touch of the moonlit breath.

Feel a sense of clarity and renewal washing over your entire being.

The micro-universe within harmonizing with the celestial energies that surround you.

Now,

With each exhale,

Let go of any further tension or lingering thoughts that you may notice or feel.

Imagine the lotus gently releasing any closed petals,

Surrendering to the natural ebb and flow of the moonlit breath.

Allow the breath to create a sacred space within where the lotus can fully unfurl,

Symbolizing the opening of your heart and the emergence of your authentic self.

As you continue to breathe,

Sense the lotus expanding and radiating its gentle light throughout your entire being,

Infusing every cell,

Every organ with a soothing glow.

Embodying the beauty of the lotus in full bloom.

Gently begin to awaken the body.

Start with small movements,

Perhaps wiggling your fingers and toes.

Feel the life force flowing through your limbs,

Revitalizing and energizing every part of your being.

As you start to bring your awareness back to your surroundings,

Know that you carry the luminosity of the moonlit lotus within you.

Picture the lotus flower as a symbol of your inner transformation,

Rising above the muddy waters of challenges,

Opening to the radiance within.

When you're ready,

Roll onto your side and take a few more moments before you push yourself up,

Maybe opening your eyes.

Be sure to bring the serenity with you,

Allowing the essence of the lotus within you to guide you on your journey of self-discovery and inner growth.

Thank you for joining the practice of letting go.

A Yoga Nidra Meditation May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you live without suffering.

And may you live in peace.

Namaste.
