Welcome to Breathing Through Burnout,
Your 7-minute mindful reset.
If you're here,
There may be part of you that feels tired mentally,
Emotionally,
Or physically.
Burnout can feel heavy,
Like your energy has been slowly drained,
Or like your mind just can't keep up anymore.
So for the next few moments,
You don't need to fix anything,
You don't need to push through.
This is a safe space to pause,
Breathe,
And heal.
Gently find a comfortable position,
Seated or lying down,
And when you're ready,
Softly close your eyes.
Take a slow,
Deep breath through your nose,
And exhale gently through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale through the nose,
Exhale from the mouth,
Letting your shoulders drop,
Your jaw soften,
Your body begin to settle.
Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm,
There's no need to control it,
Simply notice it,
The gentle rise of your chest,
The soft fall of your body as you exhale.
Burnout often pulls us into the mind,
Into overthinking,
Into performance mode.
So here,
We gently come back to the body.
Bring your awareness to your shoulders,
Notice if they're holding tension,
And without forcing it just invite them to soften.
Bring awareness to your jaw,
Your forehead,
Your eyes,
Just letting everything soften a little bit more.
Now begin deepening your breath again.
Inhale slowly,
For a count of 4,
3,
2,
1,
And exhale for 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Again,
Inhale for 4,
3,
2,
1,
And exhale for 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Letting the exhale be longer,
Signaling to your body that it's safe to relax.
With each exhale,
Imagine releasing just a little bit of the pressure you've been holding,
The expectations,
The tension,
The mental load.
You don't have to carry it all right now.
If thoughts come in,
Things you need to do,
Things you didn't finish,
Simply notice them without judgment,
And gently bring yourself back to your breath.
Inhale through the nose,
And exhale slowly from the mouth.
Imagine your breath like a soft wave.
With each inhale,
A gentle wave of calm moves through your body,
And with each exhale it carries away fatigue,
Heaviness,
And tension.
It reminds you that you are so much more than what you do out there in the external world.
You are this beautiful,
Radiant being when you are connected to your true essence.
And that connection to your essence takes place when you are aligned,
And when you give yourself permission to rest and reset.
Repeat this affirmation slowly and mindfully.
I am allowed to rest.
I am allowed to slow down.
The only thing I need to do right now is breathe.
Let these words land softly,
Taking one more deep breath in,
And a long,
Slow exhale out.
Begin to notice your body again,
The surface beneath you,
The space around you.
There is nothing you need to rush back into.
Just bask in that beautiful,
Restorative,
Calm energy.
And gently,
When you are ready,
Start wiggling your fingers,
Your toes,
Slowly waking up the body.
Open your eyes and notice how your internal energy has shifted the energy around you.
