I welcome you now to this sleep meditation.
My name is Nick Mann and I am overjoyed to be joining you to help you fall into a deep,
Deep slumber and sleep tonight.
Please take time now to set your environment,
To ensure your privacy and comfort.
Perhaps wriggle in a little deeper on the bed or the surface you're on.
Make sure the lighting is like you like.
Tend to your environment and see it at peace.
If at any time you'd like to move during this meditation to make yourself more comfortable,
Feel free as it is you that is in charge of this wind down.
Begin to feel supported,
Feel supported by the bed or the surface that you find yourself upon.
Now with the space set,
We begin by taking in a few deep breaths.
Inhale through your nose,
Exhale through your mouth,
Breathing and settling the body down,
Settling your energy,
Preparing for a restful night's sleep.
Now just breathe comfortably as we dive deeper,
Deeper,
Tune into the natural rise and fall of your breath in and out,
In and out.
Like the tides of the ocean,
The breath breathes you.
Trust the process as your body has innate knowledge on how to put you to sleep.
It knows the exact way to relax your vessel and your body into slumber and restful,
Restorative sleep.
Just allow your attention to be put softly upon my voice and the frequency of this meditation and it will carry you off to dreamland.
Feel your body begin to become heavy while at the same time loose.
Imagine the words soften on your next exhale and let yourself go limp.
That's it.
On each exhale,
Let yourself go limp,
Limp like a rag,
Limp like a new puppet cut from its string.
Just soften and let go.
Feel your hands getting heavy.
Your leg filled with the feel with the sensation of density.
Wherever you are making contact is becoming heavy and ready for sleep.
Unwinding,
Unwinding,
You begin to float.
You feel the muscles in your face soften and with every out breath,
The tension you've held through your day releases.
You feel your jaw softening now,
Your cheekbones softening,
Your beautiful forehead softening as you feel the muscles of your face smooth.
Perhaps you have not closed your eyes yet and if so,
This is now permission for you to let your eyes gently close now.
Just draw them close,
So heavy,
So relaxed.
All the muscles in the eyes and around your eyes,
Just let go,
Soft,
Supportive,
Relaxing further now as you drip,
Drip.
You feel the muscles in your back and shoulders loosen and unwind.
Feel them letting go.
Feel the weight being off your shoulder and like an ice cube melting on a hot day,
Your entire back releases and simply lets go.
Feel the lightness of your back now as you have set your day down.
Breathing softly,
As your back and shoulders continue to release,
You may take in a deep breath and on the exhale,
Surrender your day with a sigh.
It is time for you to rest.
Feel a pleasant glow begin to emanate from your heart,
Flowing into your arms now as you are nurturing yourself to sleep.
Here in your beautiful sleep space,
May you now feel a warm,
Calm feeling flowing into your abdomen,
Into your arms and hands,
Up into your face.
And just observe each rise and fall,
Noticing your eyes are getting heavy and how each exhale feels so good.
Rib cage expanding on the inhale,
Contracting on the exhale.
You relax and move towards sleep.
You're doing great.
Your hips begin to release any tension or tightness you are carrying.
Pelvic bone softening as a pleasant,
Calm feeling goes down to your leg.
You feel your entire trunk letting go,
Your entire lower body supported.
Take a nice deep breath here and exhale all remaining tension.
Breathing to the top of your head and all the way out your feet.
Good.
Now just breathe comfortably,
Going deeper and deeper into a state of total relaxation.
Body relaxed and safe.
You slow your respiration just a touch as your subconscious mind begins to call you towards sleep.
Breathing calmly and evenly here,
We turn to the mind as your wavelength begins to slow into theta.
Watch your thoughts like clouds going through a brilliantly blue sky.
See how they move.
Breathing here calmly and evenly,
Unattached.
Your thoughts just flow by.
Watch them as if you were laying on a grassy knoll,
Simply unattached,
Going towards sleep.
If a thought or emotion catches your attention,
Simply let it go like letting go of a balloon.
Watch that thought or emotion just float away,
Drifting off until you can no longer see it or feel its effects.
Thoughts arise from nothing and dissipate into nothing.
Breathe here now,
Dear one.
Calm,
Safe,
Relaxed,
Centered.
Allow any thought to pass through the gates of your mind like a ship heading out to sea.
They are not your thoughts.
They are merely a passing phenomenon.
You are present,
Here,
Now,
Safe.
We begin to listen for the silence.
Listen for the silence.
You may hear your respiration,
Your heartbeat,
Your head against your pillow or the surface you are upon.
A pleasant feeling of safety envelops you as you drift deeper and deeper into relaxation.
Your subconscious mind knows how to guide you to the exact level of unloosening,
Guiding you to a state of ease and comfort.
You drift,
Brain wavelength slowing,
Dozing off.
Feel the space and silence between these words.
Feel the space and silence between these words.
Your body fully relaxed from head to toe.
You drift deeper and deeper now.
You are comfortable.
Your body is feeling,
Drifting deeper,
Floating,
Being called but towards the watery water.
Step into the pool of the water.
Your body and mind drifting,
Floating down deeper and deeper into a natural,
Safe and restorative sleep.
Your muscles have let go.
Your arms and legs have let go and are sinking deep.
As you float into a state of non-awareness,
Your torso lets go and becomes weightless.
As you breathe,
All tensions subside,
Protected and safe.
Your inner being and subconscious mind is taking care of everything.
You need to do all neurological processes.
Hormones,
Organs and glands are taken care of.
There's nothing you need to do.
Feel as if you're floating on a cloud,
Floating.
Perfect day.
Drift deeper and deeper now.
Nothing for you to do,
For you to be.
And as natural as the tree lets go of the leaves in autumn,
Just let the brain wave legs slowly,
Respirations elongating.
Surrender into sleep,
Dear one.
You have earned it.
A night of restful,
Restorative sleep awaits you.
It is time to dream.
Let go and fall like a little waterfall,
Descending into a pool of comfort and peace.
Feel relaxation moving into your mind.
Your face and body relax,
Letting go,
Descending down,
Down.
Face muscles smooth and soft,
Just like lilies on a stream,
Like a boat out at sea.
Just be.
Drift like a candle on the water,
Effortless and free.
Nothing to do and nowhere to be.
Just drifting,
Drifting,
Free,
Free,
Free.
Respirations long and restful,
Weights lifted off of you.
Feel a pleasant and soothing sensation envelop you as you sink deeper into a natural and peaceful sleep.
Deeper with every breath you take.
Feel the space between these words.
Listen to the silence.
Nothing to do,
Nowhere to be.
Just drifting here,
Free,
Free,
Free.
Seeing everything taken care of.
Nothing to do,
Just floating like a cloud here,
Free,
Free,
Free.
Completely surrender,
Completely free.
