Hello beautiful being of light and welcome to this guided meditation on finding the root cause of your social anxiety.
Please note these meditations should never be used in place of professional medical help but rather in addition to professional help practices.
The background music is at the 528 Hertz which is the frequency of the solar plexus chakra.
For greatest healing benefits I recommend wearing headphones.
The solar plexus is responsible for self-worth,
Authenticity,
Identity and confidence.
There is even more it is responsible for but these are relevant to social anxiety issues.
Often when social anxiety is affecting your life the solar plexus is not circulating energy properly so this frequency will also aim to help heal that area of your chakra system to clear your social anxiety.
Take a deep breath with me now,
Breathing in and out,
In and out.
And one more in and out.
Good,
Relaxing deeper now.
Please remember to keep breathing deeply and slowly as you listen to the relaxing sound of my voice.
Today we will aim to find the root wound of your social anxiety.
Many times the emotions we feel such as social anxiety or fear are caused by an original unpleasant emotion that occurred at a moment in our life that our body never truly forgot.
That emotional energy became lodged in our bodies.
The original wounding moment could have been terribly distressing for us or perhaps it was very subtle but over the years the rewounding of the original event intensifies and amplifies your social anxiety until you are left feeling weighed down and held back by it in many or all aspects of life.
It can make us feel hopeless and even lead to depression.
I want you to know that you are not alone in this.
So many suffer with social anxiety,
Especially during this time where we are so isolated and restricted from seeing people.
Not seeing or interacting with people can exacerbate social anxiety.
Or perhaps your social anxiety has been weighing you down long before lockdown times.
Well,
Beautiful soul,
You are not broken and you certainly do not have to live forever feeling debilitated by or in despair about your social anxiety.
I see our difficult emotions that arise as messages and alerts from our inner child and soul for integration.
When viewed from the most loving perspective,
These uncomfortable feelings are opportunities to integrate aspects of our innocence that were unacknowledged at some point in time.
There is an aspect of you that is completely pure and innocent,
But often that aspect of ourselves was entirely shut down,
Disregarded,
Ignored or misunderstood by those around us.
Usually when we were children.
But our innocence can also be snuffed out and disregarded in adulthood.
It requires self-awareness and a brave attitude to face these feelings now and to integrate the original wound.
You see,
The truth of you is that you are divine,
Whole,
Worthy and complete no matter whatever happens to you in your life.
And no matter what your actions have been,
You are always loved,
Worthy and complete with or without social anxiety.
It makes no difference at all.
You have a right to be here as your authentic self and a right to express your innocence.
The problem is that so many of us are in need of reintegrating our innocence and solve fragments that were suppressed.
So what we will do now is get into a very deep and relaxed state and then tap into the subconscious mind where all of your memories are.
Your subconscious remembers everything that has ever happened to you.
So,
Breathe deeply with me now in and out.
Good.
You are completely safe here.
You are completely held in a sacred safe space now.
You feel yourself drifting deeper and deeper now into this divine,
Wonderful,
Safe space in the deepest recesses of your mind.
Melt into the chair or bed you are in and feel your whole body relaxing so effortlessly.
Feel your body getting heavier and relaxing deeper and deeper now.
Notice how comfortable you are in your body.
You feel so calm here and so peaceful.
Not a worry in the world in this delightful space,
In this safe place.
Now I want you to imagine beautiful green healing light coming up from the centre of the earth and into your feet and as it touches your feet you feel yourself relax so deeply there.
Then the light flows up,
Healing and relaxing your legs,
Soothing them,
Comforting them.
You feel the light entering every cell of your body and filling it up with bright green light.
The light keeps rising further now up through your abdomen,
Relaxing you further,
Then your chest,
Out your arms and fingers,
Back up your arms,
Relaxing you now up to your neck and finally filling your head and entire body with the most gorgeous green healing light.
You notice how wonderful you feel and how safe you are.
You are safe,
Held and loved as we move into the next part of the process.
I want you to know that anxiety is just an emotion and we do not have to give it as much power as we so often do.
It is the stories we attach to the emotion of anxiety that happens in social situations that makes it so scary.
We make anxiety mean certain false things about us such as being terrible at socialising,
That we're inept in some way.
But the reality is that we are not anxiety.
We are not the harsh stories we make up about ourselves because of our anxiety.
We are just experiencing anxiety.
We are experiencing the emotion and bodily sensations of anxiety and that is all.
It is something that happens to us but it does not define us.
We can separate the emotion from us because it is separate from us.
It is usually a symptom of a deep rooted trauma and that original trauma can be located and integrated which is what we aim to do now.
I want you now to think of a time when you felt socially anxious and feel what it feels like in your body.
Where does the sensation begin?
In your belly,
Your chest,
Your throat.
It is perfectly okay to feel it here now in this safe,
Healing,
Green sphere of light that surrounds you.
Really sink into the feeling of anxiety.
Does it make your hands clammy?
Do you feel knots in your stomach?
How does anxiety feel for you?
Nice work.
Now that the feeling of anxiety is here we are going to let it know that we are ready to understand it,
Listen to it and find what caused it.
Let yourself know that you are here now,
Present and ready to lovingly listen to and understand your social anxiety.
You are ready to be shown by your subconscious mind where this anxiety began so that you may integrate it now and provide the feeling with the love that it originally needed.
Let your subconscious mind now bring up any images,
Thoughts,
Feelings,
Sensations or indications of when this anxiety began.
You might be shown a scene from childhood,
You might receive a message in your mind,
You might hear thoughts regarding it,
You might see symbols that relate to an experience.
Try not to judge whatever arises and just let yourself experience this for a while in your mind.
Trust that whatever comes is meant for you now.
Alright,
I want you to imagine your adult self now stepping into the scene to comfort your wounded self.
I want you to in your own way let your innocence know that it is perfectly okay just as it is.
There is nothing wrong with it and there never was.
It is okay to be exactly who you are no matter what anyone may have said or done.
Say this to your innocence now in your mind or out loud.
It is okay to be exactly who you are no matter what anyone may have said or done.
I like to imagine my adult self hugging,
Holding or comforting my inner child,
My child self,
My innocence and you might like to do this too.
Now tell your innocence any other words of encouragement it needed at the time but did not get to hear.
You know the words you needed to hear.
You can say this in your mind or out loud now.
Okay,
So now you know where this feeling began.
You have brought the light of loving awareness and consciousness to this feeling.
You have not run from the feeling but rather faced and acknowledged it.
In doing so you have integrated a fragmented aspect of self and brought peace to your innocence that felt unloved and unheard.
I want you to know how brave you are for undertaking this practice and to feel so proud of yourself at this moment.
You have been so strong for yourself and for your pure innocence that always resides within you at all times.
Never forget that any emotion you may be feeling is a call from that innocence to stop,
Become very present with the feeling,
Acknowledge it and ask it what it needs from you.
Perhaps you may need to go through this meditation again in order to find another core wound to further integrate your innocence.
Or maybe your innocence is sending you an uncomfortable emotion in the future just to hear a few words of support from you either in your head or out loud.
Some words of support may include,
It's okay,
I am here for you,
I will never leave you,
I love you,
It's okay to make mistakes,
It's okay not to be perfect all the time,
It's okay to not be socially perfect all the time,
You are worthy and whole just as you are,
I am listening,
I will stay with you until you need and no matter what happens I will always be with you.
I'm sorry I love you,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
Ho'oponopono.
But listen,
You know the words you need to hear in that moment,
You will know what your innocence needs because it is your innocence and it is your life experiences.
Take another deep breath in with me now,
In and out.
Feel yourself returning to your more alert conscious awareness,
Coming back now and feeling wonderfully integrated.
I find that after moments of integration I often feel extremely present in the moment,
Whole and full in my heart because I have drawn back another aspect of self.
I hope this for you too beautiful soul.
You may need to do this practice again if other uncomfortable emotions arise because we have several core wounding experiences usually.
I will also be making similar meditations like this one for depression feelings,
Shame,
Guilt,
Anger and so on.
For now we will finish up.
Please know how loved you are and how worthy you are.
