Hello,
I'm Rhys Jones,
And welcome to this Lucid Dream Incubation Recording.
What follows is a lucid dreaming story,
Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.
It can either be listened to for fun,
Or with the intent to sow seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.
If you're listening just for fun,
Then you are,
Of course,
Free to put this on at any time during the day or night.
However,
If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,
Then we recommend listening to it either just before getting into bed,
Or whilst falling to sleep.
So I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.
If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,
Then use this time now to prepare for that.
Turn off your lights,
Draw your curtains,
Get into bed,
And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.
And when my voice returns in a moment,
The lucid dream incubation will begin.
You come to,
On a desolate,
Crimson world,
Lucid from the outset.
It's Mars,
You realize,
Many years before its colonization.
You look around,
Rubbing your hands together to stabilize the scene.
As far as the eyes can see is a barren vista,
A vast expanse of rust-colored terrain,
Rocky and uneven,
With jagged formations jutting out of the soil.
The sky above is a dusty,
Reddish hue,
Tinted by the planet's thin atmosphere.
A sense of stillness permeates the air,
Interrupted only by the faint whistling of the Martian winds.
There are no signs of life,
None at all.
Hmm,
You think,
Mulling over your options.
Perhaps I can go into the future and see what Mars will look like once it's colonized.
You focus your intent,
And begin to will exactly that into existence.
The scene transforms,
Then re-solidifies,
And you find yourself in a futuristic Mars colony,
With towering domes,
Vast solar arrays,
And a small but dedicated group of scientists and explorers inhabiting it.
Excitement rushes through you as you realize that you're standing in the heart of the colony.
The citizens greet you warmly,
Explaining all the goings-on of the past few years.
You eagerly join the crew,
Determined to fully immerse yourself in this extraordinary lucid adventure.
Here,
Lucid in the dream realm,
Time begins distorting wildly.
It feels like you've been here forever.
The days blend seamlessly into nights,
And you become one with the colony and its people.
You assist in maintaining the ecosystems.
You help conduct experiments.
And you even venture out of the domes on spacewalks,
Marveling at the magnificent red Martian landscape.
With each passing dream day,
Your understanding of life on Mars deepens.
It now feels like you've lived an entire lifetime on Mars.
Eventually,
You begin to wonder if you've seen all there is to see.
But then,
One day,
While sitting on the cold Martian soil,
A mighty dust storm engulfs the colony.
It comes quickly,
Unexpectedly,
And before you know it,
You're blinded by the swirling red haze.
Where are my friends?
You wonder,
Concerned,
Getting swept up in the dream narrative and momentarily losing lucidity.
I have to find my friends.
After a long search,
You locate your fellow colonists.
I was so worried about you guys,
You tell them.
But even with the chaos of the dust storm swirling around them,
They just smile,
Unconcerned.
It's in this moment that lucidity kicks back in.
What am I so worried about?
You think.
I'm dreaming,
I'm lucid dreaming.
You now realize that,
If you choose,
You can change the dust storm narrative.
Eventually,
Though,
You decide not to.
Instead,
You decide to continue on with the dust storm narrative,
Lucidly.
And so,
With a surge of determination,
You call upon the power of the lucid dream to summon a protective force field around the colony.
It instantly appears,
Your abilities impressing everyone around you.
Wow,
Say the dream characters,
Clapping,
Eyes wide.
The shimmering force field absorbs the fury of the dust storm,
Shielding the colonists and their fragile habitat from harm.
You're a hero.
You're a hero.
As the storm subsides,
The grateful colonists turn to you in awe,
Recognizing your incredible lucid dreaming abilities.
You're in control here,
Huh?
One of the dream characters asks.
Not entirely,
You respond.
But I seem to have some influence,
Yes.
Upon hearing this,
The colonists take you back into the main dome to hold a great celebration for you.
It's clear to them that you possess a unique connection to this place,
To Mars.
A connection that,
In some strange sense,
Goes beyond the dream realm.
With newfound purpose,
You continue on with your lucid explorations,
Delving deeper into the mysteries of the planet.
On this new leg of your adventure,
You discover a hidden cave and ancient Martian artifacts,
Unraveling the secrets of a long-lost civilization.
And whilst down there,
You encounter strange and otherworldly creatures,
Witnessing the resilience of life,
Even in the most extreme of environments.
Wow,
Will this dream never end,
You wonder,
Flabbergasted once more by the time distortion.
In time,
Your adventures on Mars become the stuff of legend.
Everywhere you go,
You're greeted by the dream characters with reverence and respect.
You laid the foundations for future explorers,
One says.
You've provided insights like no other,
Says one more.
You nod and smile politely,
But try not to get too wrapped up in the dream's proceedings.
After all,
You don't want to lose lucidity again.
Stay humble,
You think,
And carry on.
And so,
With a life well-lived,
You decide to say farewell to your friends on Mars and move on to your next lucid adventure.
Wherever will you go next?
One of your friends asks.
You think for a moment.
Perhaps Mercury?
You respond.
Or maybe even further out than that.
What about Venus?
The dream fades,
Transitioning to the next chapter of your journey.
The final image you see is of your Martian friends gathered en masse,
Smiling and clapping,
Wishing you farewell.
If you listened to this lucid dreaming story just for fun,
I hope you enjoyed it.
And if you listened for induction purposes,
Then I hope this parting message now finds you relaxed and drifting.
Your lucid dreaming seeds have been sown.
Your mind has been primed.
And you are ready for sleep.
And so,
With that,
I draw this session to a close.
Remember,
You are a lucid dreamer.
Never forget it.
Happy dreaming.
