I'm Rhys Jones,
And welcome to this Lucid Dream incubation recording.
What follows is a lucid dreaming story,
Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.
It can either be listened to for fun,
Or with the intent to sow seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.
If you're listening just for fun,
Then you are,
Of course,
Free to put this on at any time during the day or night.
However,
If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,
Then we recommend listening to it,
Either just before getting into bed,
Or whilst falling to sleep.
So,
I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.
If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,
Then use this time now to prepare for that.
Turn off your lights,
Draw your curtains,
Get into bed,
And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.
And,
When my voice returns in a moment,
The lucid dream incubation will begin.
Check out how you may return to your bed or whilst lying in bed at least.
♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ You come to,
Wrapped in a blanket of warm collars.
At first,
You feel no boundary between the colors and you.
But as time goes on,
And your consciousness centers,
You feel yourself in the middle of it.
The colors orbiting you.
Red and pink and blue and green,
All dancing around.
Each one unique.
It's a wonderful feeling,
Being here like this,
Just observing.
And,
For now,
You let yourself sink into that feeling,
Watching the colors as they float by.
Here,
There,
And everywhere.
♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ You are dreaming,
A voice says,
Gently,
Just in front of you.
You look around,
Trying to make out the origins,
But struggle to pin it down.
You are dreaming,
The voice says again.
It's the light you realize this time.
The light is talking to you.
And just like that,
The words register,
And lucid awareness is sparked.
You feel it not just mentally,
But physically too.
You feel your dream body coming alive,
Starting at your toes,
Working its way up your torso,
And ending at your scalp.
You're tingling all over.
You have awakened to the dream.
♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ Now lucid,
You look around the dream scene.
What was previously just a selection of floating,
Dancing colors has now solidified into what looks like a garden.
No,
A forest,
You think,
As you notice a selection of trees forming around you.
A fluorescent forest.
What a sight to behold.
The environment quite literally looks alive.
Not just the wildlife,
But the plants too.
The leaves,
The branches,
The grass beneath your feet.
Everything is brimming with a spark of something special.
A magic.
A consciousness,
Dare you say?
Intrigued,
You go off to explore this new world.
Lucidity at the forefront of your mind.
♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ Now deep within the forest grove,
You come across a clearing.
And as you step out into it,
A tingle runs down your spine.
Hovering within the clearing is a group of white,
Shimmering orbs.
And,
In the same sense that the forest feels alive,
These orbs do too.
Brimming with life.
Brimming with joy for your presence.
And brimming with a desire to show you around.
A zoom-off,
Silently beckoning you to follow.
Remember you're dreaming,
You say to yourself,
Just before heading off.
You rub your hands together,
Reground the scene,
And bound off in pursuit of the glowing orbs.
♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ You jog through the fluorescent overgrowth,
Excited yet tempered,
Joyous yet calm.
The orbs are fast,
But you just about manage to keep up with them,
Moving branches out of your way as you go.
This isn't my only option,
You realize,
Remembering once more that this is a lucid dream.
And with that,
You blast up into the sky,
Past the overgrowth and high,
High into the sky,
Now looking down at the fluorescent forest floor beneath you.
It somehow looks even more amazing up here,
Details appearing that weren't apparent from below.
You whiz around,
Up and down,
Left and right,
In perfect control of your flight.
As you go,
You will your sight to zoom in,
Tracking the orbs back down on the ground.
But you can only make out the occasional wisp of light from the group's rear.
♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ Still in flight,
You've now lost sight of the orbs entirely.
Where did they go?
You wonder,
Your telescopic vision darting from one side of the forest floor to the other.
Then you realize you haven't lost track of them at all.
In fact,
They've been with you this whole time,
By your side.
You look around,
And there they are.
Above you,
Below you,
To your right and to your left.
It's almost as if they're helping you fly.
You chuckle before swooping back down to the ground and landing with a dramatic impact.
The earth beneath your feet cracks and shatters outwards,
Yet you don't feel a thing.
From there,
The orbs float down to meet you,
Reappearing by your side,
In amongst the overgrowth of the fluorescent forest.
♪♪♪♪ ♪♪♪♪ ♪♪♪♪ ♪♪♪♪ ♪♪♪♪ ♪♪♪♪ Without saying a word,
The orbs seem to speak to you of ancient dreams,
Of ancient dreamers.
They seem to impart,
In the undisturbed silence,
A message of sorts.
They want you to know something,
That these ancient dreams that they speak of have a connection to you.
That these ancient dreamers that they once were,
Were you too.
And,
As you stand there,
Eyes moving from one orb to the next,
To the next,
To the next,
Memories start flooding back to you.
Memories of the past,
And,
Somehow,
Memories of the future too.
Of previous adventures through similar forest glades,
And adventures that,
From this current vantage point at least,
Are yet to happen.
♪♪♪♪♪ ♪♪♪♪♪ ♪♪♪♪♪ ♪♪♪♪♪ ♪♪♪♪♪ ♪♪♪♪♪ ♪♪♪♪♪ After some time in the fluorescent forest,
You now feel the scene wavering,
And your consciousness wanting to move on to the next adventure.
But,
Before you do,
You decide to hold on for one last exchange with the orbs.
Seeing as you seem to travel with me,
In one form or another,
I want you to remind me next time you see me,
I want you to remind me that I'm dreaming.
Is that okay?
You ask them,
Knowing that,
Really,
You're just talking to yourself.
Now,
The orbs talk back,
Not just telepathically like before,
But audibly.
The physical words ring through the dreamscape.
Of course,
They say,
Who do you think spoke to you at the beginning of this dream?
It was us.
It's always us.
And with that,
The scene fades,
And you sit in silence,
Mulling over their words,
Knowing that,
In a while,
A new scene will form around you.
This is a work of fiction.
