Hello,
I'm Rhys Jones,
And welcome to this Lucid Dream Incubation Recording.
What follows is a lucid dreaming story,
Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.
It can either be listened to for fun,
Or with the intent to sow seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.
If you're listening just for fun,
Then you are,
Of course,
Free to put this on at any time during the day or night.
However,
If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,
Then we recommend listening to it either just before getting into bed,
Or whilst falling to sleep.
So I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.
If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,
Then use this time now to prepare for that.
Turn off your lights,
Draw your curtains,
Get into bed,
And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.
And when my voice returns in a moment,
The lucid dream incubation will begin.
Your eyes open,
At first a blurry vision,
But then,
As you get to your feet,
Your surroundings come into focus.
You're in a stunning forest,
On a crisp fall morning.
The details are unusually sharp,
And you take note of this.
The leaves on the trees are red,
Orange,
Yellow,
And the hues are so,
So vivid.
You take note of this too.
Even the gentle breeze catches your attention,
Carrying with it an intensely earthly aroma of the fallen leaves below you.
The strength of the aroma is not normal,
You think.
In fact,
Nothing about the environment seems normal at all.
You begin to explore,
Looking for clues as to where you are.
The forest is vast,
And its paths winding.
You get the sense you could roam it forever,
And never get bored,
Never get lonely,
Never want for more.
And in a sense,
You're right.
Yet you still have questions.
What is this place?
You wonder.
There's something… special about it.
And again,
Your intuition is correct.
There is something very special about this place.
And precisely what makes it special is on the tip of your tongue.
So close,
Yet so far.
Like a sneeze that just won't come,
Or a word you know you know,
That nonetheless eludes you.
Not to worry,
You think.
If I just keep on exploring,
The truth will come,
Eventually.
It's by a grand fallen oak tree that the truth finally dawns on you.
Upon inspecting the tree,
You notice that its bark is shimmering.
Hmm,
Bark doesn't shimmer,
You think.
And then you look at the roots,
And they're doing the same thing.
The branches too.
Why is this tree… shiny?
Your mind continues to probe.
And then,
A memory comes,
Flashing back to you.
The memory of where you were,
Just before this forest walk.
You are getting into bed,
Back at home,
In your bedroom.
Aha,
Of course,
You think.
I must be dreaming.
And with that,
The tree begins to shimmer even more,
As if congratulating you for figuring out the mystery.
Lucid,
You continue your explorations,
With your mind sharp and your egoic self from the waking realm now present.
You repeat your name out loud as you walk,
Reminding yourself of who you are,
And further grounding the scene in the process.
Every step you take,
You give your full attention to the sense perceptions returning to you.
The feeling of the leaves crunching underfoot.
The resonant sound.
The soft breeze on your skin.
You are immersed,
Immersed in the natural rhythm of the dream.
As you continue to walk,
The crunching of the leaves abates.
In its place,
The ground softens,
Becoming a plush carpet of moss,
Cushioning your steps.
Just ahead,
In amongst the trees,
You spot a glistening stream.
Its waters crystal clear,
Reflecting the vivid foliage around it.
You approach,
Following it along its edge,
Observing its colour and its flow as you go.
I want to change it,
You think,
Directing your will accordingly.
And with mere thought alone,
You transform the shade to aquamarine,
And create beautiful little fish that swim just beneath the surface.
As you continue along the stream,
Your imagination truly takes flight.
You envision a magnificent waterfall just up ahead,
Its waters cascading down from great heights.
And,
Just like that,
It's there,
Grand and majestic,
Your very own creation.
Then,
You change it,
From a waterfall to a water slide,
And again,
Your will is manifest.
You rush towards the slide,
Climb to its peak,
And then go down it,
Belly first,
Sliding through the refreshing spray,
Laughing and exhilarated,
Senses alive,
And you hit the lake below with a great splash.
After resurfacing from the watery depths,
You find yourself in a new area,
A serene glade where a variety of friendly woodland creatures have gathered,
Squirrels,
Rabbits,
And a wise old owl,
Perched on a branch overhead.
You feel a special connection to these animals,
And approach each one to greet them.
To your amazement,
They greet you back,
Speaking to you in a language of whispers,
Sharing tales of the glade's secret history and hidden wonders.
As the dream progresses,
Your surroundings continue to shift,
Responding to your emotions and desires.
Now,
You find yourself walking on air,
Amongst a group of floating islands,
Each one a different ecosystem of dreams,
From lush jungles to towering ice palaces.
You dip in and out of each one,
Exploring new realms on a whim,
Sometimes for mere seconds,
Sometimes for much longer,
But continuously moving,
Ever changing,
Never staying still,
And always lucid.
And so,
The dream sun now begins to set,
Casting a warm and golden light across your inner world.
You take this moment to find a quiet spot,
Back in the forest,
To reflect.
You settle under a grand oak tree,
Its leaves gently rustling in the breeze,
And you close your eyes.
Thank you,
You say out loud,
Thank you for this special experience.
Nothing is said back,
Not directly at least,
But a strong sense of acknowledgement washes over you,
And your hairs stand on end.
The dream sees you,
And you see the dream.
If you listened to this lucid dreaming story just for fun,
I hope you enjoyed it,
And if you listened for induction purposes,
Then I hope this parting message now finds you relaxed and drifting.
Your lucid dreaming seeds have been sown,
Your mind has been primed,
And you are ready for sleep.
And so with that,
I draw this session to a close.
Remember,
You are a lucid dreamer.
Never forget it.
Happy dreaming.
