Hello,

I'm Rhys Jones,

And welcome to this lucid dream incubation recording.

What follows is a lucid dreaming story,

Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.

It can either be listened to for fun,

Or with the intent to sow seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.

If you're listening just for fun,

Then you are,

Of course,

Free to put this on at any time during the day or night.

However,

If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,

Then we recommend listening to it,

Either just before getting into bed,

Or whilst falling to sleep.

So,

I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.

If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,

Then use this time to prepare for that.

Turn off your lights,

Draw your curtains,

Get into bed,

And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.

And when my voice returns in a minute or two,

The lucid dream incubation will begin.

The You come to a place where you can see the light.

It's soft,

Soothing,

And immediately puts you at ease.

Bleary eyed,

You look around to get an idea of your surroundings.

For a moment,

You see nothing but the light,

But as your eyes adjust,

You begin to see lush overgrowth,

Grand oak trees,

Beautiful butterflies,

And purple flowers scattered throughout.

You are in a wonderland.

How did I get here?

You wonder,

Rubbing your eyes and getting to your feet.

You begin to explore the environment,

Treading carefully through the overgrowth,

And trying to reorientate yourself.

The As time goes on,

Your curiosity about how you arrived here grows.

Fifteen minutes ago I was getting into bed at home,

So how am I now here,

You wonder?

Off in the distance you see a figure,

A woman holding an umbrella,

Staring blankly into the distance.

Her presence feels strange to you.

Not in a spooky way,

Just in an otherworldly way.

You sense something mysterious about her,

And so you walk in her direction,

Eager to engage.

Hello?

Trudging through shallow water,

You near the woman.

She continues to stand there,

Holding the umbrella,

Staring off blankly.

And just as you're about to reach her,

She vanishes in a poof.

Huh,

You say,

Spinning around,

Looking left,

Looking right,

Looking up and down,

Trying to find her.

Where'd you go?

It's at this point that you once more question your situation,

And your surroundings.

The timeline doesn't make sense.

You're in a place you don't recognize.

Someone just literally disappeared in front of your very eyes.

And so,

As you search for an answer,

You come across the only thing that makes sense.

Of course,

I'm dreaming.

You're in a place you don't recognize.

You're in a place you don't recognize.

You're in a place you don't recognize.

Now,

Lucid,

You're eager to find the Umbrella Woman again,

And so you continue exploring the forest.

The magical wonderland.

The secret garden.

Just as you settle on the name,

You see a wooden sign staked in the ground that reads exactly that.

The secret garden,

It says.

You smile.

Pat the top of the sign affectionately.

Then continue ever deeper into the brimming overgrowth.

You're in a place you don't recognize.

You're in a place you don't recognize.

Your lucidity has emboldened you.

Even though the environment is dark and mysterious,

You feel nothing but curiosity and excitement to explore.

Within this mysterious place is a deep,

Deep beauty,

And you feel connected to it on every layer of your being.

And so you stop to take in the environment once more,

Breathing in through your nose.

The butterflies are chasing each other.

The trees are shimmering.

The leaves are pulsing with a subtle light,

Beating like a heart.

And as you watch the pulsing,

You feel your own heartbeat synchronize with it.

Knowing that you're dreaming,

You understand that you're literally exploring yourself right now.

This forest,

In the realest sense,

Is you.

You're in a place you don't recognize.

You're in a place you don't recognize.

And so you stop.

And so you continue to stand,

Soaking in the environment,

Moving your eyes around it to ensure the scene remains stable.

From the pulsing leaves,

To the butterflies,

To the big,

Shiny green leaves that hang down from above.

I'm dreaming,

You say out loud,

Grounding yourself even further into the moment.

You're dreaming,

A voice echoes back to you.

You smile,

And begin walking once more into the overgrowth.

You're dreaming,

A voice echoes back to you.

You're dreaming,

A voice echoes back to you.

You're dreaming,

A voice echoes back to you.

Eventually,

You arrive at an opening,

Pushing aside the leaves and stepping out into an area with shallow water,

Bordered by an array of pebbles and boulders.

At the far end stands an epic gnarled tree,

And just like before,

Off to the side of it.

A woman,

Staring off into the distance,

Wearing a cute little dress,

A scarf flapping in the wind,

And an umbrella resting on her right shoulder.

Have I gone full circle,

You wonder,

Looking around?

This was where I was before.

The difference being this time,

However,

You're lucid.

You're dreaming,

A voice echoes back to you.

You're dreaming,

A voice echoes back to you.

With lucidity still strong,

You kick off the ground and glide over to the woman.

This time she will not disappear,

You assert.

She will still be there when you land.

And as you cross the mini swamp and land on the other side,

She does exactly that.

She remains in place,

But she seems frozen like a statue.

You approach,

Your palms open as a sign of peace.

And as you get right up on her,

She suddenly bursts into life,

Her cheeks turning rosy red,

Her eyes lighting up,

Her body gently swaying in the breeze.

I've been waiting for you,

She says with a smile.

You're in it.

Face to face with the woman now,

You engage her in lucid discussion.

Do you understand where we are?

You ask.

I do.

She responds politely.

We're in the secret garden.

You smile and nod.

But where is the secret garden exactly?

You ask,

Curious to see what her answer will be.

Oh well,

I see what you're getting at.

You want to understand what brain hemisphere we're in,

Correct?

She asks,

Eyes unwavering,

An undeniable consciousness radiating through.

You chuckle.

Well,

I suppose that's one way of putting it,

You say.

Come then,

I'll show you,

She says.

And with a hop,

Skip and a jump,

She flies away.

You fly after the woman and,

At first,

Struggle to keep up.

She goes higher and higher and higher until,

Eventually,

She leaves behind the secret garden entirely.

First,

You see nothing but black up here.

But eventually,

As you bridge the gap and arrive by her side,

You now find yourself surrounded by what you can only describe as wires and sparks.

You said you wanted to know where we were,

The woman says matter of factly,

Motioning around.

Well,

Here it is.

This is literally where we are.

This is literally who we are.

Not those flesh and bones,

But these sparks.

We are the sparks.

We are the sparks.

A chill runs through you as you look on,

Transfixed.

If you listened to this lucid dreaming story just for fun,

I hope you enjoyed it.

And if you listened for induction purposes,

Then I hope this parting message now finds you relaxed and drifting.

Your lucid dreaming seeds have been sown.

Your mind has been primed.

And you are ready for sleep.

And so,

With that,

I draw this session to a close.

Remember,

You are a lucid dreamer.

Happy dreaming.
