Hello,

I'm Rhys Jones,

And welcome to this lucid dream incubation recording.

What follows is a lucid dreaming story,

Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.

It can either be listened to for fun,

Or with the intent to sow seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.

If you're listening just for fun,

Then you are,

Of course,

Free to put this on at any time during the day or night.

However,

If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,

Then we recommend listening to it either just before getting into bed,

Or whilst falling to sleep.

So,

I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.

If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,

Then use this time to prepare for that.

Turn off your lights.

Draw your curtains.

Get into bed,

And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.

And when my voice returns in a minute or two,

The lucid dream incubation will begin.

Allspeaking.

You come to on a beautiful green planet.

Luscious and vibrant and alive.

You have a lingering memory of being somewhere else just moments ago,

But you can't quite pinpoint it.

You vaguely recall sitting high up above the planet,

Like a god,

Looking down.

However the more you wrestle with the memory,

The more it slips through your fingers.

And before you know it,

You're totally consumed by the present moment,

Taking in the wondrous scenery around you.

You sit down on the ground,

Cross-legged,

And meditate.

After a short meditation,

You feel impelled to explore this wondrous planet.

And so you push yourself up to your feet,

And begin to do exactly that.

Currently you're in a jungle-like area,

Surrounded by thick overgrowth.

But as you walk further down the smooth,

Leafy trail,

You come to an opening,

Moving aside the hanging greenery and stepping out into a wide,

Open field.

As far as the eyes can see is ankle-high grass,

Deep blue sky,

And to the left,

A long line of funny-looking trees.

You head towards them.

Oh.

.

.

After a while,

You arrive at the base of one of the funny looking trees.

You place your palm softly against its bark and soak in its essence.

It is ancient,

Clearly,

Yet it has a youthful,

Fresh glow about it.

You look up,

Admiring its rough,

Veiny texture and the mammoth green strands that connect one tree to the next.

And then,

You realise,

They are in fact one tree.

Actually tree isn't even the right word.

This is something else entirely.

A sentient being in its own right.

Observing you in the same way that you are observing it.

And as you think this,

A voice rings through your head.

Don't stop now,

Carry on,

It says.

Digitised word You You walk a little way along the line of trees and eventually come across a bike,

Leaning up against one of the trunks.

Take it,

The voice rings out in your head again,

And head north.

There's something waiting for you there.

You check over the bike,

It looks normal enough,

Just what you'd expect a bike to look like.

And so,

With confidence,

You pick it up,

Mount it,

And begin to ride.

Oh,

No.

You It's at this point,

While cycling,

That things begin to strike you as… strange.

Sure,

The planet already had an alien vibe,

And sure the trees were already talking to you,

But until now,

You seem to accept these things.

This new development is different though.

The strangeness of it,

Undeniable.

You look up at the sky and see what you can only describe as a million little cotton balls raining down,

Very slowly.

Floating,

Almost.

What on earth is that?

You question,

Lucidity simmering.

And in line with your thoughts,

The cotton balls now morph into something new.

It's hard to tell exactly what this new form is,

But you want to say… marshmallows?

None of this makes sense,

You think,

Raising your hand and counting six fingers.

Of course.

I'm dreaming.

So now,

Lucid,

You ride the bicycle with renewed vigour and interest.

You are already having fun,

But now,

Knowing that you're dreaming,

The experience is infused with a special kind of magic and intrigue.

You look down at the bike handles and notice their shimmering.

You look up at the sky and it shifts colours from blue,

To purple,

And back again.

You look to the horizon and see an oasis coming into view.

And so,

You set your mind on arriving at this oasis,

Pedalling at otherworldly speeds to reach it.

So so so And so,

You arrive at the oasis,

Your lucidity still blazing hot.

In fact,

On the journey from there to here,

Your lucidity seems to have gone up a notch or two.

You feel intensely present.

You feel intensely aware.

And as you hop off the bike,

Kneel down at the oasis and submerge your hands in the water.

You soak up every last sensory detail that is to soak up.

Oh,

What a dream,

You say out loud,

Looking down at the crystal clear twinkling water.

I could stay here forever.

So so so so Still at the oasis,

The tree being from earlier now reappears,

Penetrating up through the ground,

One trunk at a time,

In a slow wave around the edge of the water.

You watch in awe,

Moving your eyes from one outgrowth to the next,

To the next,

To the next,

Fascinated by the process.

Eventually,

The entire oasis is surrounded by these trees and the being begins to talk once more.

You have ridden well and arrived at your destination,

It says.

And now,

For your reward,

A bird's eye view of the planet.

Suddenly,

Memories from an earlier dream come flooding back,

And you remember all the previous scenes that led up to this one.

So so so so With a shift in perspective,

You now find yourself sitting on a cool,

Metallic bench,

In a viewing deck,

Many miles above the planet,

Looking down from the bird's eye view promised by the tree being mere moments prior.

Memories from a hundred lucid dreams come flooding back,

And your eyes well up from the nostalgia.

This is a familiar place indeed,

A place you've been to many times before.

Wow,

You mutter under your breath,

Completely awestruck,

Both by the view and the memories.

So so so so so so so ready for sleep.

And so,

With that,

I draw this session to a close.

Remember,

You are a lucid dreamer.

Happy dreaming.

So so so so so so so so so
