Hello,

I'm Rhys Jones,

And welcome to this Lucid Dream Incubation Recording.

What follows is a lucid dreaming story,

Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.

It can either be listened to for fun,

Or with the intent to sow seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.

If you're listening just for fun,

Then you are,

Of course,

Free to put this on at any time during the day or night.

However,

If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,

Then we recommend listening to it either just before getting into bed,

Or whilst falling to sleep.

So I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.

If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,

Then use this time now to prepare for that.

Turn off your lights,

Draw your curtains,

Get into bed,

And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.

And when my voice returns in a moment,

The lucid dream incubation will begin.

You come to Lucid from the offset,

In a beautiful city.

You look up to see a sign nestled between two huge skyscrapers that reads Arcadia.

All around you are vibrant neon signs and people chattering.

For a moment,

You just stand there,

Soaking in the scene,

Your eyes periodically moving from one spot to the next to ensure the dream remains stable.

Then,

Just ahead of you,

You see a mist forming,

And someone stepping out of that mist.

You watch,

Keenly,

Waiting for the figure to approach.

The mysterious figure is now in front of you,

Gazing into your eyes.

He has an aura that exudes a sense of ancient wisdom,

And a form,

Somehow,

Fluid,

Shifting his location like ripples on water.

First in front of you,

Then behind,

Now to your right.

He has a humanoid figure,

Yet you sense that that's just one form of many.

Hmm,

How interesting,

You think.

His body is semi-transparent,

And he blends in seamlessly with the world around him,

Making it challenging to distinguish where he ends and the environment begins.

Eventually,

He introduces himself to you.

He says,

You continue standing there,

In awe,

Taking him in.

It's good to be here,

Says the guardian,

His voice simultaneously soothing and direct.

I have come to tell you something.

You continue looking at him,

Entranced almost,

Gently reminding yourself that you're lucid dreaming.

He continues,

You have an ability unlike others,

On some level,

You already know.

You can manipulate time,

Just like me,

The past,

The present,

The future,

All at your fingertips,

And I've come to show you how to harness these gifts.

Your heart races with excitement,

And you're keen to learn more.

But before you can,

The scene dissolves,

And a new one begins to take form.

You're no longer in the hustle and bustle of Arcadia.

Now you're sitting in a dusty old library,

At an ancient table,

With the guardian sitting across from you.

You see,

We just did it,

We shifted to a new time,

He says,

Smiling and gesturing around.

He reaches into his coat pocket and hands you an intricate golden pocket watch.

This is the key to unlocking the time flow.

If you turn the hands one way,

You go forward,

The other way,

You go back.

You carefully look the watch over,

Eventually you muster up the courage to experiment with the watch's hands,

Turning them,

And observing as the environment around you begins to change.

Slowly at first,

Then suddenly,

You're somewhere new,

In a bustling medieval marketplace,

With merchants haggling over goods,

And minstrels playing merry tunes.

You look down,

Noticing that your attire has changed to match the era.

Huh,

What fun,

You think,

Marveling at your newfound ability to explore time.

As the dream unfolds,

You explore all sorts of different eras and locations.

Ancient Egypt,

The European Renaissance,

The signing of the US Constitution,

Each adventure more captivating than the last.

Yet,

After a while,

Something begins to trouble you.

You begin wondering if your actions are somehow having a strange,

Unexplainable effect on the waking world.

You wonder if the changes you're making here,

In this dream world,

Are somehow echoing into your so-called real life,

Too.

With that,

You notice a crack in the fabric of time appearing,

And you go over to inspect it.

You step through the ever-widening crack,

And experience your final time shift.

While now standing at a crossroads in history,

A pivotal moment in time,

With the potential to reshape the world,

The Guardian appears again,

His form shimmering like starlight.

Regreetings,

Fellow traveler.

You must now decide whether to let time flow naturally,

Or to intervene and alter his course.

He gestures towards the unfolding scene.

You suspect that your choices here have waking world consequences,

And I suspect you may be right.

Which makes your decision now all the more important.

You look upon the decision before you,

Torn between two options.

To intervene,

Or not.

The desire to shape the outcome,

In the hope of a better world,

Is strong.

The fear of causing unintended chaos is equally strong.

What to do,

You think,

Weighing up all your options.

After a moment of deep contemplation,

You make your decision,

Realizing that,

Even with this incredible power,

You shouldn't control every outcome.

It isn't your right,

You decide.

You know better than to meddle in affairs you don't fully understand.

And so,

With a heavy heart,

You choose to let events unfold as they were meant to.

Turning the hands of the golden watch one last time,

And returning to the library.

An interesting choice,

Says the guardian,

Sitting over from you at the table again.

I know that must have been tough,

But I think you made the right decision.

I was in your shoes once too.

Another guardian,

Another time.

He presented me with that same gift,

That same watch,

That same ultimatum.

It was a test of sorts,

I suppose,

And I hesitated in much the same way you did.

Unsure what to do with my newfound power.

Ultimately,

I think it's wise to humble oneself,

To acknowledge how little we know.

Even when traversing these inner realms with this ultimate power.

He stops and takes you in one last time,

Before disappearing back to his own time.

Now it's your turn,

He says.

When the time is right,

You will pass on the watch to someone new.

And with that,

Your fate was sealed.

If you listened to this lucid dreaming story just for fun,

I hope you enjoyed it.

And if you listened for induction purposes,

Then I hope this parting message now finds you relaxed and drifting.

Your lucid dreaming seeds have been sown.

Your mind has been primed.

And you are ready for sleep.

And so with that,

I draw this session to a close.

Remember,

You are a lucid dreamer.

Never forget it.

Happy dreaming.
