Hello,

I'm Rhys Jones and welcome to this Lucid Dream Incubation Recording.

What follows is a lucid dreaming story,

Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.

It can either be listened to for fun,

Or with the intent to sow seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.

If you're listening just for fun,

Then you are,

Of course,

Free to put this on at any time during the day or night.

However,

If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,

Then we recommend listening to it either just before getting into bed,

Or whilst falling to sleep.

So I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.

If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,

Then use this time now to prepare for that.

Turn off your lights,

Draw your curtains,

Get into bed,

And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.

And when my voice returns in a moment,

The lucid dream incubation will begin.

You come to,

In a familiar setting,

One that holds special memories for you.

I haven't been here for a while,

You think.

Many years,

In fact.

You look around,

Taking in all of the details,

Amazed that you're back here.

It looks just how you remember it,

It's like you never left.

Old,

Yet welcoming.

Time-worn,

Yet inviting.

You begin to explore your surroundings.

How did I get here,

You wonder,

Some logic kicking in.

But before you can follow up on that thought,

You spot a figure at the other end of the room.

It's a long-lost relative,

You realise.

You approach them,

Excited.

Now,

Right up on them,

Face to face,

You look them deep in the eyes.

Wow,

It's really them,

You think.

You spot a figure at the other end of the room.

It's a long-lost relative,

You realise.

You approach them,

Excited.

Now,

Right up on them,

Face to face,

You look them deep in the eyes.

Wow,

It's really them,

You think.

A mix of emotions fills your heart.

Joy,

Disbelief,

And a profound sense of belonging.

I thought you were dead,

You say,

Embracing them tightly.

And just like that,

The penny drops.

They are dead.

So you must be dreaming.

There's no other explanation.

This encounter's made possible only within the realm of your subconscious mind.

What a blessing,

You think.

It's not every day you get to spend time with a loved one that's passed.

You begin to imagine all the possibilities that could now ensue.

Eager to make the most of this opportunity,

You decide to embark on an epic adventure with your loved one.

An adventure that you'll remember for the rest of your life.

And so,

With that decision made,

The dream world expands out dramatically,

With a whoosh,

From the humble,

Familiar setting of yesteryear,

To a fantastical Mesoamerican landscape,

Surrounded by lush forests and ancient ruins.

It's a breathtaking scene,

Filled with rich history and mystique.

You take your loved one by the hand,

And begin to explore the intricate stonework and carvings.

You're in amongst the old civilization of the Mayans.

With each step,

You feel the echoes of the Mayan civilization resonating through the ancient stones.

The grandeur of the temples and pyramids rise before you,

Reaching towards the heavens.

The jungle vegetation crawls over them,

Reclaiming their territory.

Your eyes open wide,

And as you look over to your loved one,

You see that their eyes are wide too.

Curious,

You keep on exploring,

Discovering hidden chambers and sacred spaces.

In this dream world,

The ruins feel alive.

In fact,

For a moment,

You see exactly what things used to look like.

Vivid scenes of daily life,

A marketplace teeming with traders,

Temples filled with worshippers,

And ceremonial rituals that honor the gods.

You and your loved one are on quite the journey together,

And every time you think you've reached the peak,

A new element emerges.

Here,

In amongst the backdrop of lush overgrowth and exotic animals,

You encounter a Mayan spirit,

An ethereal presence that emanates wisdom and kindness.

Welcome home,

The spirit says,

Ushering you forward for yet another leg of your adventure.

The spirit takes you back to look at the stonework and carvings you noticed previously.

It points at one symbol in particular,

Revealing the hidden meaning behind it and explaining why it was put there in the first place.

Everything you see here is to spark memory,

The spirit explains.

You and your loved one feel a deep connection to your new guide,

And hang on their every word.

After a while,

The spirit departs,

Wishing you both farewell and good luck on your journey.

You wave goodbye and head off,

Deeper into the overgrowth of the jungle.

As you walk,

You and your loved one have a heartfelt conversation,

Reminiscing about old times and cherished memories.

You laugh together,

Your bond growing ever stronger.

Your loved one's presence is a source of comfort to you,

It's a reminder that their love continues to exist beyond the physical realm,

Transcending the illusory boundary of death.

Now,

You notice that parts of the dream world are starting to fade.

People's faces become blank,

Scenery glitches and disappears.

Your senses begin to numb.

You rub your hands together to try and re-engage the scene,

But it doesn't work.

It seems as if the dream's coming to an end,

You think.

These could be your final moments with your loved one.

A bittersweet feeling.

I think I'm leaving you now,

You say to them.

They smile knowingly and reach out for an embrace,

Holding you tight.

But we never really leave,

You know,

They respond.

We just change form.

In these final moments,

As you share this last embrace,

An overwhelming surge of love and gratitude fills your being.

It's in this moment that an insight comes to you.

Even though this encounter happened in the dream realm,

It will leave its mark on you.

It will have a profound influence on your waking life.

It wasn't mere fantasy,

Mere illusion.

It was an experience that touched the very core of your being.

It touched your soul.

A part of you even wonders if,

In some sense,

It was real.

Whatever real means.

Either way,

This feeling of love will stay with you forever.

You know that much for sure.
