So welcome to the energy and the messages that the Soul Group dogs are going to share with us.
Dogs are a very particular group of animals that are mainly here for joy,
Peace and showing us how easy a day can be.
We all know our dogs or we see dogs laying completely relaxed with the legs up in the air or they can just be completely out of it.
Dogs are not worried about people stepping over them or that they are in the middle of the kitchen where you are trying to prepare dinner.
They are just there.
And it is something that is an energy and it's a message that most of us human beings we've lost connection with because we are so in a schedule and we are so in a doing mode that for dogs to show up in your life it is definitely a big sign,
A big message,
Almost like a billboard saying like okay,
Are we going to rest here right now or are we going to come and it's always an invitation and I mean this,
It's always an invitation to join them.
So if you ever see a dog,
Don't startle them,
Introduce yourself but it's always an invitation to join them and to just be and breathe with them because that is how we can work on anxiety that we've created and that is a way for us to get our nervous system to calm down.
It's a way for little illnesses that we struggle with to just accept them and like okay,
What is it,
What is the message you want to share with me.
So this joy and this calmness and this ability to just relax is one of the main things why dogs show up in the world and show up in so many people's lives and for me the biggest example is when the pandemic happened and everyone started rescuing dogs from rescue centres and I know from a human perspective this was like gosh,
We're helping dogs,
The dogs were like yeah,
Hello,
Let me help you,
Let me help you through this and let me help,
Let me be your partner in this journey that Earth is going through at the moment and it's really nice when I walk outside and I meet up with new dog owners who rescue the dog and I'm like you know,
Oh and then we keep talking to them within,
With some people within a minute,
With some people a little bit longer,
Oh this is the best thing I've ever done and this dog has saved me through this pandemic and it's really interesting to see how you know the dogs as a group showed up for us human beings during all this time and having two dogs into my life,
Well first one and then we added one during the pandemic,
I have to say that we've laughed a lot more with the silly dogs and what they have been doing so they really lifted up some dark days for us as a family as well and for the kids too.
So one of the other things that is very significant in the dog group is relationships,
Is friendships,
Is that unconditional expectation of a human soul or a human being or personality that gives us,
That shows us that everyone is out here,
Can experience love and can experience something unconditional in our lives and so a dog doesn't care what kind of job you do,
A dog doesn't care what you know,
How you show up,
As soon as you walk into their territory which can be the garden,
Which can be you know wherever you and your dog spend time,
You're the best person,
The best human being ever and it is such an amazing thing and I just quickly want to share the fact that there are dogs who go through trauma,
Who are not being treated nicely and they end up with you know being rescued by other human beings and most of the time with the trauma they went through,
There is some correlation of the trauma the dog went through and the rescue human,
I'm not sure who I should call the rescuer but the person they end up in their life with and then they can you know work on that trauma together so shy dogs help the human to come out of their shell and to trust the world a little bit more.
Dogs that have been unkindly treated,
That human being has experience of being treated unkindly and so the two of them then can take that journey and because a dog,
Another of the big asset of a dog is bravery,
Then you can have the bravery together,
You can tap into that to step into a new chapter and learning how to treat these situations where you walk into differently.
So you know love,
Unconditional relationships,
So there are no strings attached and rest and trust in the world,
How they meditate like in seconds,
That is one of the things,
Three things that dogs are really,
They really work on very well and one of the other things that is really interesting to see is their playfulness,
So you know you leave a string on the floor and a dog is able to play with it and I know there are some other soul groups and other animals who are really good at finding playfulness things but a dog can be happy with a string,
With a ball,
With a brussel sprouts that falls on the floor,
They are just able to see that sun ray coming down and it flickers on the floor and they will make a game out of it.
So when you start encountering dogs in a time of your day or a time of your life where there is not enough playfulness they will find a way to be in front of your feet so that you have to start noticing them and then you start noticing what they are doing or they literally will jump up and down in front of you like hello and they will just keep going until you get their attention and then you are into their playfulness energy,
Dogs have a capacity of pulling us out of a certain thing we are doing and completely distract us in a way too and I know there are some clumsy dogs out there who trip over things and make such an amazing mess that you go like really not what I needed today but when you start cleaning up you go like okay maybe it was the break I needed but we maybe spend it walking together instead of me cleaning the kitchen up.
The other day I had lots of buckets and I was preparing things for going to the barn and between the puppy and my older dog they managed to get all the feet everywhere and I will spare you the mess but I am pretty sure you can imagine with wet beet pulp and other foods thrown through the mess that I can make.
It was pretty funny but at the time I was like okay really is this what we needed to do today but we had so much fun cleaning it up because they were trying to eat it.
So it was interesting how they took us out of a very serious first day of the week into menace and a higher energy for us to come play.
And then the other thing which dogs are well known for although it is not always in a way that we expected is protection.
So for me I know my dog will always protect me but if someone walks right through the front door she is like oh hello you know there is no protection in a way that we human beings with things that they would start barking or show like hey you are not supposed to be here but her protection is real.
So every dog that we encounter in our lives will show up with the protection that we need.
So sometimes it is personal boundaries.
So for example you need to have personal space in your study to do work or to just have a quiet time or whatever.
So the dog would just stay in front of the door to make sure not everyone just trips into your room where you are working.
Other dogs see the protection very literally and no one is allowed through the front door or not even into the yard and they get yelled at.
So that is how we get so many discussions about the mailman bringing mail.
It was being you know the dogs trying to attack through the window but it is actually only a small group of dogs who do that.
Because most dogs when we walk them they will watch what is happening and will on the leash even try to protect that boundary that for us is healthy to talk to people.
And another thing they do with protection and some dogs are better at it than others is they will hurt us.
So if we go out as a group and we go for a walk or a hike they will make sure that we all stay together.
I know Border Corley is really good at it.
They will make sure the front person is not going too fast and is waiting for the person all the way in the back but that is a way of protection.
It is keeping the herds together,
It is keeping us all together which gives us with all these different things that a dog has to offer,
It gives us the ability to build community.
And community is one of the things that is really important for a dog.
And I know you are all thinking food,
Yeah food is very important for a dog too.
You know,
Don't take their food away but the community of being together.
So a lot of dogs will love to eat their food while we are in the kitchen or while we are eating.
And that is not something that they have been trained into because a lot of dogs are being trained in how they get their food.
Some people are very organized with their dogs.
The dog has that from their natural position as well,
Is that they want to create community.
So you will notice that some of the dogs in some families who really need it will check in the evening if everyone is inside.
And if everyone is in their right positions where they need to be,
Then they will lay down.
And for some of the dogs it is really important that everyone gets greeted because that is an important part of the family.
Or that might be a lesson a family needs to learn or a unit needs to learn.
So this dog will always make sure he is going to greet every single person that is part of that unit.
We had a dog in a house I lived,
You know,
Being single and newly working.
And this dog would make sure every single person was acknowledged walking through the door.
That was something that unconsciously we really needed because we were in such a new phase of our life.
Being recognized and noticed was actually something we all were craving at that stage.
So it is something we really needed to hear and be part of.
So let me recap all the things.
So complete relaxation and trust in the moment and be in the now.
Unconditional love,
Unconditional relationships,
No strings attached,
Showing love and playfulness.
So you can play with anything in front of you.
Everything can be looked at a different perspective.
Protection is one other thing.
And then to bring it all together with all these little items,
They love creating a community.
And that is in a nutshell,
So to speak,
What the soul group of a dog would like to share with us or teach us or offer us.
