These are short observations about who God is and who we are in God. These observations are meant to weaken, hopefully, our conscious (and unconscious) habits that separate us from God and bring to awareness our characteristics that keep us in alignment with God. These observations are based on Bible scriptures and the understandings revealed to me from them.

Today's consideration.

God wants us to have a prosperous and continuous relationship with Him.

It's within that relationship that He will grant us abundance in all things,

Favor in all things,

And make us the peculiar treasure before the world.

Because He will do this for us,

It is imperative that we not blemish our blessings with smugness,

Arrogance,

And a self aggrandizing attitude.

As people we tend to be desperate for help,

But once we have what we need,

We push the one who helped us away.

We even go so far as to act like we solved our own problems.

God is our eternal guide who has a perspective that we must seek out and remain in the presence of continually.

If we try to move on our own,

We suffer the curse of our limited vision.

So even as we prosper,

We must remain in God.

Our ego will have us believe that we can move mountains on our own and allow us to conveniently forget that on our own we broke our foot on the last pebble we tried to kick.

Thank you.

I thoroughly enjoyed this talk. For sure it is important never to forget those who helped us when it was most needed. One good turn deserves another… THANK YOU for reminding me :-)
