Five ways we sabotage our purpose.
We all say we want life to be better.
We want better health,
More money,
And life fulfillment in general.
So when the opportunity comes,
Why wouldn't we take it?
Believe it or not,
We let opportunity slip by us often.
So if you want to stop being in a constant state of wanting and are ready to transition to the state of experiencing,
Then ask yourself these questions.
One,
Do you cry out for change but then say never mind?
In the middle of frustration and pain,
We beg for relief,
Promising that we will do better if we can just get out of this situation.
Okay,
You're delivered.
The situation is over now.
Yay!
And better than that,
There is an opportunity to fix the situation such that it never has to happen again.
Double yay!
But then you don't make the changes.
Essentially you're saying never mind.
Now that you're comfortable again,
You look back and say the anguish of what you just went through was really not that bad.
You rationalize casually with yourself to do better in the future,
But you don't truly hold yourself accountable.
And you're saying never mind to the opportunity to reach your purpose because you will not get there until you learn the lesson here.
Number two,
Do you know the steps you need to take to reach your goals but allow yourself to get distracted?
I'm guilty of this on a daily basis.
You know you have a major task.
Maybe you need to write a couple of blog articles or do some research or get on a project for work.
But instead of getting started,
You're checking all of your social media sites.
You want to catch the tail end of a TV show.
And now you want to fix a snack.
Not only does this waste time,
But it drains energy.
And no energy means that the important task gets delayed.
And if your schedule is like mine,
That delayed task gets added to a bunch of stuff that was already scheduled to be done after you finished that task.
Long story short,
You increase your stress,
You get overwhelmed,
And you end up doing a less than stellar job if you even get the task done at all.
How can you reach your goals if you can't even get started?
Number three,
Do you find yourself out of place when the opportunity does show up?
You pray for an opportunity to work with kids,
But then take a job that has you working with adults.
And then the opportunity to work with kids shows up.
Now what?
You're out of place.
And it's not such a simple matter of dropping what you were doing for the adults and going to the kids.
Often,
Other people are relying on you and the whole situation just gets messy.
Point blank.
If you pray for something to go a certain way,
Then trust in that.
Relying on other things is a sign of fear and doubt,
And you can't accomplish your purpose with those two character traits.
Number four,
Do you jump the gun in trying to make something manifest only to fail?
One lesson that must be learned repeatedly is that you will not have your manifestation any kind of way.
In order for you to get and maintain that purpose,
You have to do things in order.
So you want to start a business.
You barely flesh out a business plan and hardly have an idea for your product,
But you hurry up and quit your job.
You're out of order.
Everything happens in a process,
And you must take the time to grow steadily and consistently.
That will only happen taking one step at a time.
Number five,
Do you sit still and do nothing at all waiting for the manifestation to just show up?
Whether we intend to or not,
We treat God like a genie.
We pray for what we want and then wait for it to arrive like it's a package.
We say we're being faithful,
But in reality,
Faith is active.
Faith is praying for what you want and then moving forward and making decisions that line up with what you're expecting.
When you take one step,
The next step will be revealed.
If you take no steps,
Then what was meant for you will never arrive.
In the end,
Be honest with yourself.
Make sure your actions match your words.
Do a thorough checkup,
Fix it,
And then move forward confidently in your purpose.
