This is a conversation about directness and specificity. People are scared to be specific when wanting to manifest. However, specificity is necessary. Not only does it help you visualise what you want, it helps you identify the path to get there.

Say what you mean and mean what you say.

Where in life have you been able to be vague about what you want and you still be able to get it?

Nowhere.

If someone blindfolded you,

Put a bow and arrow in your hand,

And told you to hit the target without telling you where the target is,

Could you hit it?

Not a chance.

So why would you pray for God to manifest in your life and not be specific about what it is you're looking for?

Sometimes people are afraid to be specific because they feel they are being greedy or untrusting of the source that will provide for them.

However,

Being specific and then behaving as if you have what you asked for is actually an act of faith.

When you're specific,

You know which direction from which to expect an answer.

If you need a new job,

Then you trust that your job search will be productive.

You ignore unemployment statistics,

You ignore other people's stories about how they tried to leave that job and were not successful.

When you're specific,

You can engage in certain actions that prepare you for what you're expecting.

You practice being a great worker at your current job so that you're great at the job you're expecting.

When you're specific,

You recognize unexpected and unplanned opportunities that move you closer to what you prayed for.

You find out about an unadvertised job fair in the area.

You're nice to someone in the local coffee shop and learn there is an opening at their place of employment and it's the type of position you were looking for.

What happens when you're not specific?

Then you may judge everything that comes your way as the blessing you were looking for and you waste time chasing behind something that wasn't meant for you.

Or you lose hope because you don't see any blessings emerging as far as you know.

Ultimately,

You lose faith and start to believe that your opportunities will only be the product of your own efforts,

Which can be depressing though if your personal efforts have brought you very little.

You can have exactly what you say,

So be specific.

If you don't have it,

It will only be because you didn't ask for it.

Thank you!! The intro metaphors, so perfect! Would love to hear a longer talk on this and on how specificity can help a personal relationship flourish.
