Start by finding a comfortable seat.

Take a moment and settle in.

Today we're going to sprinkle a little bit of mindfulness into our life.

We're going to take time for ourselves.

We're going to draw our awareness inward just for a few moments.

It's important to sprinkle mindfulness into your daily routine,

Even if it's only for a few minutes a day.

This gives your mind a break from all the chaos and the busyness of this thing we call life.

If we don't take time to rest the mind,

Find clarity and find focus,

We'll live our lives on overdrive for days,

Months,

Even years without taking time to rest and process.

You've already taken an amazing step in the right direction just by listening to this meditation.

You've already prioritized yourself enough to choose to sprinkle a little bit of mindfulness into your life.

So go ahead and start by just scanning the body from the crown of the head all the way down to your toes,

Letting your awareness wash over you.

As your awareness washes down from the crown of your head,

Follow it and let it erase any tension that you're feeling in the body.

Begin to notice your breathing,

The natural rise and fall of your breath,

Something we don't often take time out of our lives to notice.

For about one more minute,

Begin to take really nice deep breaths,

Filling up the lungs completely,

Exhaling completely.

Letting this breath,

This prana,

This life force,

Eliminate all stress and tension,

Even just for a few moments.

And allowing yourself now to feel proud that you took time for yourself,

For your mind.

Something so important,

Something so underrated.

Let the breath become natural.

When you're ready,

Crack open the eyes.

Before you jump up and start hurrying back into your busy life,

Take time to acknowledge yourself for these four minutes that you took out of your day.

And remind yourself the importance of self-care.

And urge yourself to come back to your practice,

Knowing how important it is.

I will see you back here really soon.

Namaste.
