Hello and welcome to your spiritual support team,
A Changing of the Guard.
My name is Dr.
Kate Flynn and I'm so happy that you are here with me today.
If you've listened to any of my other meditations on Insight Timer,
You've probably noticed that they all begin with the same opening sequence.
A prayerful,
Contemplative way to surrender your ego and come more and more into heart space.
At the end of this opening sequence,
There's always an opportunity to connect with your assistants for help with whatever meditation you're listening to and the ability to fully integrate it into your being.
Assistance is transient.
Your assistance for one intention is probably very different than your assistance for another,
But it's comprised of things like ascended masters,
Elements of nature,
The four elements.
It can be your favorite color,
A childhood superhero.
It's really anything you connect with that makes you feel loved and supported.
Today we're talking about your spiritual support team,
Which is different than your assistance.
Your spiritual support team is more solidified and they offer a steadier day-to-day presence in your life,
So less transient.
Typically,
Your spiritual support team is comprised of about five to 12 angels guides and other beings of light.
Now there are always different circumstances.
You may feel like you have more or less and that's okay.
I just wanted to give you a general idea of how many show up for you on the day-to-day.
Their mission is really to see you through the various parts of your conscious evolution.
So that could be 10 years,
It could be 15 years,
It could be three months,
Depending on how quickly you are changing and growing based on what's going on in your life.
Once their mission is complete,
Some of them will be ready to go on and new ones will be waiting to come in.
When we are ready and willing,
The shift happens without our active involvement.
It just happens on its own in our subconscious.
However,
Sometimes it's natural and we do have some resistance to this change,
Especially once we're aware of them.
We can be more attached to them and have some fear of completing a particular transition,
Letting them go,
Or wishing that things would stay the same.
All of those things can interfere with that natural evolution,
Letting some of them go and new ones come in.
I remember when I first learned about this concept about 10 years ago,
A lady I was working with was telling me about my guides and my spiritual support team.
I found out that my grandmother was one of my guides and I love my grandmother so much.
She was such an amazing person in this life.
She was that strong,
Steady influence that was always there.
When she passed,
I had regrets about not spending as much time with her as I would have liked.
I was so excited to find out that she was really there with me every day.
The next thing my friend said was,
It's time to let her go.
It's time for both of you to move on.
I went from being so happy and excited to being,
Oh no,
I don't want to let her go.
At the same time,
Knowing that this was coming up for a reason and to trust that,
I decided to do a little ceremony in the mountains.
I went for a little hike and I took a flower with me,
A peach rose.
I symbolically released it over the side of the mountain into a stream below,
Prepared to watch the stream carry the flower away.
Then I realized that the flower got caught in a little eddy and stayed there.
I really feel like that was my grandmother's way of saying,
Yes,
It's time for both of us to move on.
But I'm still here.
I'm still close by.
I was extremely grateful for that experience.
So back to your spiritual support team.
If you're listening to this particular meditation,
Chances are you've been through a pretty decent transition.
You have recently experienced some kind of personal growth.
Maybe you've been doing a lot of meditation or a lot of personal work.
Whatever it is,
It's resonating with you to allow a changing of this guard.
I wrote this meditation or created this meditation specifically for week four of the Life in a Sweet Spot Masterclass.
It's all about engaging intuition so that you can better hear your inner voice and more easily come into the sweet spot.

Because by the time you get to week four,
You have done a lot of inner work.
Things are being rearranged and you're ready for some new support moving forward.
So without further ado,
We will begin.
Come to a comfortable seated position,
Or you can lie down if you like.
I like to place my palms open on my knees.
Maybe close your eyes.
Enjoy a nice deep inhale.
And as you exhale,
Come more fully into the present moment.
Greet it as it is,
Open to receive and willing to release.
Imagine a beautiful white light flowing through your arteries and veins,
Filling your heart and lungs,
The air you breathe.
Allow its presence to cleanse and purify your blood and your thoughts and to fill your entire being with a sense of peace.
As that peace washes over you,
Begin consciously connecting with the person you are becoming.
That part of you that's already on the other side of whatever you may be experiencing now and knows exactly how to guide you through it.
Connect with him or her through your heart and your third eye.
Awaken their spirit more fully within your DNA and merge deeper and deeper into oneness with them now.
Imagine that it is nighttime and you are seated outside and all of your spiritual support team has joined you.
You're seated in a circle and in the middle of the circle is a warm,
Bright light.
You can look around the circle and see who's with you.
Maybe share a feeling of love and gratitude for them and all they've done for you.
And then begin to be with each being in that circle one on one.
Maybe words are exchanged or feelings are felt or maybe it's quiet.
As you proceed in this way,
You might find that one or more of the members of your spiritual support team stand.
And as they stand,
That's their way of telling you that their mission is complete and that it's time for both of you to move forward in a new way.
Maybe they have a message to share with you,
Some word of encouragement or a piece of wisdom.
Maybe you share a hug or maybe they offer you some sort of other gift.
As this happens again,
Fill them with love and gratitude and then say goodbye.
Continue around the circle one by one until you've made it all the way around.
As these members of your spiritual support team have left,
It's time to welcome new ones in.
Allow them entrance into your circle now.
And know that it might be an equal exchange if four left,
Maybe four new ones come in,
Or it might be less or more.
Be open and be present and watch as the new members take their seat around the warm bright light in the center of your circle.
Be with them one by one in a moment of love and gratitude.
And then bring your awareness to the warm bright light in the center of the circle.
As you set your focus there,
All of the members of your spiritual support team do the same.
A stream of light begins to flow from the heart of each of them into the warm bright light in the center.
As your energy moves into the warm bright light is a way to bring cohesion to your spiritual support team.
As they all put their energy into the warm bright light,
A stream of energy comes out of the warm bright light and into your heart.
A way to further solidify your connection for you to feel their presence,
Hear their guidance,
And receive their love.
Maybe you woke up the stream of energy flowing into your heart,
And maybe it stays focused there or maybe it expands outward with your breath.
Maybe it fills the spaces in between,
Fills your physical body,
And maybe even it expands out into your auric field.
Trust whatever you see and feel.
Be open to receive any messages from your spiritual support team now.
Any words of encouragement for what is to come,
On what to place your attention,
Or on possible opportunities for your growth and learning.
Receive what they have to offer with gratitude.
And then begin to bring your awareness back into your body,
Back into the space that surrounds you.
Slowly and gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes.
