Pride has no borders or limitations,

It's not open for investigations,

You feel it all over your body and mind,

So keep that roots that cannot be found.

But the result is clear,

As you feel it right here.

Pride is a secondary emotion and can have many than one explanation.

There is a positive pride which shows by a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction delivered from one's own achievements,

Achievements of those whom one is closely associated with,

From the qualities or the possessions that are admired.

Pride is also the confidence of self-respect expressed by members of a group,

Typically one that has been socially marginalised on the basis of their shared identity,

Culture and experience.

It is possible to show pride outwardly,

But most of the time it's an inward,

Directed feeling and not visually expressed.

From a spiritual point of view we consider pride as the development of the self and the expression thereof.

Being proud has a positive and a negative side.

The positive side is when pride reverts to a content sense of attachments towards one own or other choices and actions,

Or toward a whole group of people and is a product of praise,

Independence,

Self-reflection and a fulfilment of feelings of belonging.

To give you some examples,

I'm proud of my new diploma that I got with high marks and hard work.

I'm proud of our national sport that won the trophy.

I'm proud that that person used to be my teacher.

That's what you see.

Pride is also a very personal and individual issue.

Two people of the same family are proud of different things.

The negative side of pride can be considered.

It is known by self,

Ideology,

Sadistic content,

Vanity and vainglory.

Pride can manifest itself as a high opinion of one's nation,

A national pride,

Or a group,

Or a team.

If I say in the soccer,

I'm proud of my team.

In sport,

We often find people with a sense of pride for their idols or teams which they support.

In psychology,

Pride is considered specifically and described in the field of self-conscience emotion that results from the evaluations of the self and one's behaviour according to the internal and external standards.

Pride is visually expressed in body language by,

For instance,

The following gestures.

The first,

Facial expression and gestures that demonstrate pride involve a lifting of the chin.

And second,

In your smiles.

Or third,

Arms or hips to demonstrate victory.

Number four,

An expanded posture in which the head is tilted back and the arms extended out from the body.

Like,

Hey,

Hooray,

I'm happy.

And that happy can be very proud.

Individuals may implicitly grant status to others based solely on their expression of pride,

Even in cases in which they wish to avoid themselves.

Now we know more of the science behind the pride.

We must look what is it for ourselves.

Are we proud of who we are?

Or do we need to see this as a negative emotional attitude?

Being proud can be a very positive expression when you are proud of others.

They perform and they achieve something and you feel some sense of pride for them.

You being proud of them is a form of gratitude.

You are happy for them and feel connected to share this feeling with them.

If you are proud of your own achievement,

It seems to be another case.

But is it?

Pride is an expression of satisfaction,

Often also of completion.

You are proud to have finalized something.

You did it and you ended successfully.

So we come to the question,

Is pride good or bad?

In most religions,

Pride is not considered positive.

In Christian philosophy it is even considered a bad expression of self-highesting.

There are reasons why religions do consider pride as a negative expression.

First of all,

The believers consider pride as something divine and only reserved for the highest,

Such as a god or equal identities.

A human can feel proud of small achievements but must call it happiness or feeling great.

To call it pride is in many cases one step too far.

Pride is eternal,

Happiness temporary.

And that's the idea behind it.

But pride is also temporary,

As it is very personal and connected to the individual only.

Even when the pride is for the greater good,

Such as a team or a country,

It is still limited.

The feeling of pride is a moderated form is good.

And the feeling of excessive pride or overestimation of results is not good.

So it depends on the level.

The pride gives a good and a bad side,

Which is personal and cannot be balanced.

Ever.

So are you allowed to be proud of yourself?

Yes,

You can.

And that's my answer.

You should be proud.

At least a few times in your life of what you did,

What you reach.

Being proud of your achievements is an accomplishment and you should celebrate it.

When you reach a target,

You did the work and you are entitled to be proud of it.

Celebrate it and show it and show that you are happy.

And it is at such occasions,

Something very positive and stimulating for yourself,

But also for others.

On the other hand,

Being proud for something you did not achieve,

Pride for pride or pride because of chauvinism or narcissism is never good.

In fact,

The real name for this is hubris and it's surely not pride.

Question and answer.

I have a question about broken pride.

My sports team did lose already a few times.

I feel very sad when they lose.

I'm nearly devastated,

But when they win,

I am super proud and I'm happy as possible.

Can I say that my pride is broken when they lose?

And so on.

Pride can be hurt and that is what you feel.

It's not broken as you are proud of it.

Next time again,

If pride is broken,

It will leave and then will never return again.

Pride comes and goes,

But never returns.

Pride is a one-time comer and goer.

It cannot be broken,

But it can be hurt.

Question two.

I am proud of my achievements.

Every time when possible,

I like to tell about it and explain the importance of what I do and what I did.

It feels like people are getting annoyed with me and my behavior as my friends do not call me anymore and other people start to avoid me.

What is wrong with my pride?

Answer two.

Being proud and showing pride are two completely different things.

Showing pride is allowed for a temporary time in the human life.

After that,

You show modesty and humility.

One rule of society is that pride is shown only for a short time after the achievement.

It is a limited time.

After that,

Only others are allowed to mention your achievement and you should not mention it all over and over again,

But just leave it on your CV.

Society consider people who show off to many times as an egocentric,

Narcissistic,

Selfish or especially negative person.

The best way for you is to let others talk about you and stop talking about yourself when there is no need or any direct question.

Question three.

I am a nationalist and very proud of my country and people.

Many people tell me that it is wrong,

But is it?

Question three,

Nationalism is not wrong when you include everybody who is living in your country.

Nationalism becomes negative only when you exclude people on basis of race,

Religion or way of thinking or otherwise.

A nation is made by the border of the country and all people that live inside it.

When nationalism becomes an exclusive right for certain groups,

It is a bad philosophy and must be expelled.

If you are an all-inclusive nationalist,

You are doing the right thing.

Question four.

Is there a difference between a proud and a narcissistic personality?

Answer four.

There is a big difference between these personalities.

A proud person can show decent behaviour,

Is inclusive in its attitude,

Social in its thinking and considers that value of others is like the value of themselves.

A narcissistic personality considers itself the middle of the world,

A highly important person,

Likes only those who admire and desire him or her,

But despise anyone who is critical or negative toward him or her.

A proud person is engaged with others and a narcissistic only with themselves.

Question five.

I am proud of others' achievement but not of that myself.

What's the matter with me?

Answer five.

This is called lack of self-esteem.

You feel good for others but you are in doubt about your own achievements.

Being proud of yourself is something you can learn.

First of all,

You need to see that you are able to do things good.

Look at what you do and how good you do it.

Review it.

And again and again to realize that you did something successfully.

Realize it was successful.

When you are able to realize that and accept that you are the person who did it,

You will be free.

You get a sense of pride.

That's the beginning.
