Take a mental break from your worry, anxiety and stress by creating an Escape Room in your mind. Use this visualization to immediately dissolve stress and bring a sense of ease to your day. There is no music, just words and the pictures you conjure. At the end of the meditation you can decide to linger longer or end with the words, Namaste, enjoy. Come back again and again to the sanctuary you create.

It's important to take time every day for relaxation.

Give yourself some space to unwind and create a place in your own mind to do just that.

So find a place where you're comfortable and you can sit in silence.

We have some privacy,

You won't be disturbed.

Get yourself really comfortable.

Close your eyes.

Take a nice deep breath in through your nose.

Deeply,

Deeply and release.

And another big breath in through your nose.

Deeply,

Deeply and release.

And one more.

Breathing in through your nose.

Deeply,

Deeply and release.

Now just let your breathing be in a normal rhythm at your own pace.

Just let it be.

And start to create pictures in your mind.

Let them be really detailed.

Imagine building images.

See at first a door.

See yourself opening a door and behind it a stairwell that you will climb up.

See yourself climbing the stairs one step at a time.

One step,

Then the other.

However high you choose this stairwell to be.

And at the top,

A door to a room.

A beautiful room.

And in it,

Everything that makes you feel safe,

Comfortable and fully at ease.

Let the room be decorated with relaxing colors.

Colors of restful blues,

Greens,

Golds.

Calming and gentle colors.

Make sure this room is tidy and neat.

Simple.

Let it be spacious.

Open.

Clean.

Fill it with items that make you feel at ease.

Joyful.

Just a few pieces of furniture.

See a large picture window.

Looking out and down onto an ocean.

Beautiful,

Clear greenish blue.

See the water as it meets the beach and recedes.

You can see it,

But you cannot hear it.

This room is completely quiet.

Find your favorite chair by the window.

And sit in it now.

Rest.

Relax.

Let your body be fully supported in this chair and gaze out on the scene below.

Feel any tension or stress start to dissolve away.

Let yourself take a step back from all of your worries and be totally immersed in this room.

This is your safe space.

This is your space.

Just breathe in and out.

And take a little vacation from the rest of your life.

Enjoy this place as long as you like.

Enjoy this space as long as you like.

Enjoy this place as long as you like.

When you've finished here,

You can return again as many times today as you like.

Any time throughout the day you have a quiet moment,

Come back to this place.

When you're done,

Just close the door behind you and go back down the stairs and return to your life.
