Hi,
I'm Sophia.
And welcome to Find Your Light,
Wellness & Beauty.
Thanks for joining me for this guided meditation on workplace burnout.
Find a comfortable position.
You can sit in a chair,
Lie down.
Or settle wherever you feel most at ease.
If you're able,
Allow your phone to be on do not disturb.
For the next few moments,
There is nowhere else you need to be.
Nothing you need to fix.
Nothing you need to accomplish.
No emails you need to answer.
No one needs anything from you.
Right now.
This moment is all yours.
Let's start by taking some slow,
Deep breaths.
Take a deep inhale into the nose.
And exhale,
Sigh out the mouth.
One more time.
Deep breath into the nose.
And exhale.
Sigh out the mouth.
Give me one more.
Deep breath into the nose.
Cleansing breath.
Inhale,
Inhale,
Inhale.
And exhale sigh it out the mouth And as you release,
Relax your shoulders,
Unclench your jaws.
Soften your hands.
And just begin to let your body know that.
You don't have to be on right now.
And as you take your next breath in and exhale out,
I want you to think about everything you've been carrying.
The deadlines,
The meetings,
The expectations.
Difficult conversations.
Maybe even the things you wish you handled differently.
You don't have to judge any of it.
Just notice.
And imagine.
Placing all of it down.
Not forever.
Just for now.
You can pick these things back up when you need to.
But right now.
Don't put them down.
We'll take another slow breath in.
And as you exhale,
Silently say to yourself,
I release this moment from my responsibility.
I release this moment.
For my responsibility.
I release this moment.
From my responsibility.
You know,
Sometimes work can become so consuming.
That we begin to confuse what we do with who we are.
We start measuring ourselves by our productivity.
How much we've accomplished,
How quickly we respond.
How many people we've helped,
How many problems we solved.
But I want you to remember something.
You are a whole person.
Not a job title.
You are more than your inbox.
You are more than your performance review.
You are more than your ability to keep everything together.
Your value does not increase because you had a productive day.
And your value does not decrease because you have struggles.
You are worthy before you accomplish anything.
You are worthy.
Before you accomplish anything.
Say that with me.
I am worthy.
Before I accomplish anything.
Let this settle into your body.
I am worthy.
Before I accomplish anything.
I am worthy.
Before I accomplish anything.
I am worthy without producing.
I am worthy without performing.
I am worthy without proving.
I am enough.
And now I want you to gently turn your attention inward.
Bring your awareness to the heart.
Ask yourself.
How am I really doing?
How's my heart today?
Notice what comes up.
Maybe you're frustrated.
Maybe you're angry.
Maybe you're overwhelmed.
Maybe you don't know.
Maybe you're tired.
Or maybe you're hopeful.
You don't have to change the way you feel.
You don't have to explain it.
You don't have to judge it.
Just notice.
And as you notice.
Gently say,
I'm listening now.
I'm listening.
The heart and.
And awareness.
What do you need?
Maybe rest.
Maybe help.
Maybe PTO.
Maybe you need a conversation.
Maybe you need to cry.
Maybe you need to move your body.
There's no wrong answers here.
Your needs are information.
This.
Listen to the answers.
Now,
Two,
Two.
Imagine a small light.
Somewhere inside you.
It doesn't have to be bright.
It doesn't have to illuminate everything.
Maybe it's the flicker of a candle.
Nighting.
The room.
Or maybe like sunlight.
Coming through a window.
This is your life.
Thank you.
Golden.
Glowing.
This light is the part of you that exists underneath the stress.
The expectations.
The responsibility.
Your light is your connection.
To yourself.
I say that again.
Your life.
Is your connection.
To yourself.
Your light is joy.
Creativity.
Softness.
And maybe you've been so busy taking care of everything else that you forgot your light was there.
I'm here to remind you.
Is still there.
Take a breath in.
And imagine that light becoming a little brighter.
Take a breath out.
Release whatever has been dimming the light.
Deep breath in.
That light becomes a little bit brighter.
And as you breathe out.
You release all that has been dimming it.
Finding your light doesn't mean you quit your job tomorrow.
It doesn't mean you'll never experience stress.
And it certainly doesn't mean you have every answer.
Finding your light simply means you recognize.
You recognize that something has to change.
You recognize that you may have to have that honest conversation.
That you need to take the day off.
That in the morning you don't reach for your phone.
Small choices become powerful change.
You're allowed to make them.
You are allowed to protect your peace.
You are allowed to ask for help.
You are allowed to want more.
You are allowed to take care of yourself.
Just take the next step.
Whatever it is.
Starts small.
Trust yourself.
Trust yourself enough.
To simply begin.
And as we close.
Repeat these affirmations for me.
I am more than my word.
I am more than what I accomplish.
I listen to my body.
I honor my needs.
My peace matters.
I am worthy of a life that feels good.
I'm finding my way back.
And as we take.
One final breath together.
Breathing in.
And exhaling out.
Know that you don't have to wait for life to calm down.
To take care of yourself.
You create the pause.
You set the boundaries.
You take the breath.
In your life.
Every single time.
Until next time.
Live life.
