Hi,
I'm Safiya and this is Find Your Light.
Today we're going to do a thankful guided meditation.
Let's begin.
Start by taking a comfortable seat wherever you are.
And as you take this comfortable seat,
Allow yourself to begin to come to stillness.
Relaxing your body.
Relaxing your mind.
Begin by taking a deep breath and just exhale,
Sigh out.
Take a deep breath into your nose and exhale,
Sigh it out.
Relax your shoulders away from your ears.
Relax your forehead.
Relax your jaw.
Place your hands on your lap,
Either up for receiving or down for grounding,
Whichever resonates for you.
Now I want you to take another deep inhale into your nose and gently exhale,
Sigh it out.
Another deep cleansing breath into your nose and exhale,
Release,
Sigh it out.
Now as you take this next inhale,
Inhale your lungs fully,
Feeling your belly and exhale,
Release.
Feeling your belly to come into your spine,
Releasing all the air.
To find as much comfort as possible.
Letting go of anything that came before this moment and not thinking into the future of what will be.
Just being fully present here and now.
As you allow for this stillness,
As you allow for your breath to gently enter and exit.
I want you to just check in with how you feel.
Are you feeling anxious?
Are you trying your best to relax?
Are you in your head trying to get it right?
There is no right or wrong.
Just fully allow yourself to be present and be in the here and now with what is happening.
And as you sit or as you lie down,
I want you to begin to think of one thing that you are thankful for.
No judgment,
No analyzing.
Just one thing that you are thankful for.
And as you think of this one thing,
Allow yourself to feel that energy.
Allow yourself to welcome the gratitude for what you feel.
And as you allow the energy that comes for this thankfulness,
Know that there is no room for lack and all that exists is the energy of thankfulness.
You are still standing,
You are still shining,
You are still healthy,
Still growing,
Still thankful.
This thankfulness has allowed you joy.
It has allowed you peace.
You have chosen.
You have decided that this you are thankful for.
And as you allow that thankfulness to overwhelm you,
Take a deep breath into your nose and exhale,
Sigh out.
Feel yourself inhale into your grateful heart and allow it to expand with all the energy that expresses your thankfulness.
There is a part of you that knows exactly who you are and what matters to you.
And that part of you wants to show you the many ways that you can be thankful and grateful for all that you have.
And as you ponder what it is that you are thankful for,
Allow the energy and the feelings of this thankfulness to stay with you throughout your day.
Namaste.
